Light Machine Sweep. Started playing Rush last Friday. Built Light Machine, and made it to KoG by Sunday. Mirror Innovator really is nutty. Once you stick it on board the game is over. Your opponent can’t wall up and you have a near infinite grind game thanks to the scuffle back.
Great stuff Tomato. I realized I wasn’t subbed yet and had to smash that button. What do you think about the upcoming Wyrms? I’m considering to save up some gems for them.
Wyrms are generally very good at building a strong board, but often times struggle to get damage in through set 3 pass, so we're hoping for a skill that helps with this issue. There are a few cards such as Autumn Leaves of Blisstopia that could fix this problem, but that card is surely far too strong to be released into Duel Links at this time.
Reviewing the most used Decks of the moment, they could be classified into the following: - The F2P Decks are perhaps Rush's Harpie, Rush's Blue-Eyes, Spellcaster Deck and, to a lesser extent, Magnum Overlord. Noodle Ninja was a F2P Deck for many, but let's say it's not as F2P as it once was (it's still quite accessible). In fact, this is the reason why Decks like Rush's Harpie, Rush's Blue-Eyes and Magnum Overlord continue to receive complaints from the community: you see a lot of them in the Ladder since they are the most accessible Decks (which generates the idea that Rush Duels does not have Deck diversity when the game does... in the competitive environment) - The Decks that are between "not so cheap but not so expensive", in my opinion, are the following: Aggro (Dragias and friends), Yggdrago and any pure Dragon Deck. I would say that many pure Dragon Decks are somewhat F2P since some important pieces can be obtained easily. - The P2W Decks are LIGHT Machine, Royal Rebel's and Psychic. Due to this nature, they are not seen often on the Ladder. Psychic is the worst of the group as it is a fairly expensive Deck as it requires a lot of Boxes. LIGHT Machine also falls into the same category since you need the Structure and the Box. Royal Rebel's was one of the most expensive Decks to build, but I think its glory days are about to end (the Skill was the reason why the Deck managed to be dominant) Curiously, with the exception of the LIGHT Machine Deck, almost no other Deck needs Selection Box stuff to be viable or Meta: most of the cards you can get elsewhere (or there are better alternatives according to the Meta)
Until the latest Selection Box Release, Rush in general has been pretty f2p friendly if you had a specific duel links account just for Rush (excluding some structure deck cards). This was the first time since Rush's release that I had hit 0 gems!
@@icecool85 The next part of the story sees the introduction of the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club who use Wyrms, Earth Machines, Magma (fire-pyro but not noodles), Winged-beats and Insects. Of these Wyrms + Winged-beasts have the most potential. The story would then introduce a few new machines cards, but Earth Machine never really took off as an independent deck, but maybe with a skill?
Primarily just as a mill 1 to fuel Hydron, but has some niche application with shuffling the deck after you've stacked something like a middle yggdrago piece to the bottom early.
Now, let's review the current Meta: - I knew that LIGHT Machine Deck would become powerful once this Deck gets the rest of its support: I didn't lie. And LIGHT Machine Deck is missing a part of its support: Worker Warrior (and its Trap Cards) - I have some mixed feelings about Noodle Ninja. On the one hand, I'm glad it's a viable option in the Meta. On the other hand, I feel that it is one of those cases where the Deck is weak, but is saved by its constant use and results in Tournaments (Tomatosaurs using Noodle Ninja is like using a NU Pokemon in OU Environment) - Chadgias once again tests its power in the face of accusations from the community that the number of limits at 3 is becoming ridiculous. All those limitations are due to Dragias: if they didn't have the limit at 3 (or Dragias wouldn't be at 3), you would see that Dragon's Boss Monster in all Decks. - Yggdrago surpassed Tomatosaurs's previous accusations that it was a mediocre or decent Deck, but nothing more. I would say that Chaos Femtron and the Meta change helped the Deck a lot (even so, I want my Spell Cards focused on consistency in Maximum Decks) - I had noticed that Royal Rebel's is declining in representation and this confirms it to me. It can be said that, indeed, Royal Rebel's is not the Tier 0 that people said (we need the Broken Skill back to its original state to see if it can beat LIGHT Machine Deck) - Rush's Blue-Eyes, Rush's Harpie and Magnum Overlord is the trinity of the Ladder: you will always see those Decks constantly. Although well, the fall of Rush's Harpie and Magnum Overlord in the Meta is only the prelude to the extinction of Maximum Monsters (only Asana's Maximum remains to see if that Monster can save us or not) - I feel like Spellcaster Deck (and Psychic Deck) won't be good until both Decks get their best support, but this support may be a bit overpowered for Rush's Duel Links's power level. Both will improve with Fusion, that's clear. Either way, with Asana confirmed, it remains to be seen how Wyrm will fare in that future Meta: Wyrm Excavator is one of the few initial Maximum Monsters that has aged well and Wyrm Buildragon can create Fields with three Monsters quickly. The problem will be the dependence on Field Spells, bricks and not having access to Pierce (something that Skills could solve)
One thing I will say is that although in western events we're seeing very little Noodle representation, over in the east players are playing it a ton. On top of the fact that a Rush Duel team league has just started up and so far Noodles has the highest representation of decks used.
Forever Freeze is specifically good against problematic 2500 attackers, the main offenders being Doom Metal and Dragias. My advice would be that if your deck is hard countered by Aggro or Doom Metal, it would be a good idea to include Freeze. This would be decks like potentially Blue-Eyes and Psychics.
Maximum Overload is my favorite Deck so Im gonna try it out first there is also a new earth you can use to boost Seven's Road and it help in Consistency of the deck sadly the new fire is limit3😅 Mirror Innovator is really good even without Gold Rush seriously the ne is wrong they should change it to Freeze Magnet since its alway the card getting hit by Freeze I guess everyone has forgotten that the level 6 can give Pierce to any light machine to be honest I want to run 2 but Tough Striker is useful for proging the Skill🤔
Overlord is currently in the Finals of the Angel Cup so could potentially win it's first tournament in the current meta, but at the very least has made top 2.
After looking at tournament results and some brief testing it is seeming like it isn't, but I haven't personally played it enough to make that call for certain.
Flavor inspector was in the old build back when we didn't have to worry about piercing damage and were more concerned with Torna and Harpies changing us to attack position. With the introduction of Mirror Innovator the deck had to evolve to accommodate it, placing more a focus on high defense. The same can be said for swapping out Kanan for Kana and introducing Babysitter Goat.
@@Tomatosaurs, that's just what I was thinking. Interesting seeing an emphasis on DEF and Piercing in this meta. It feels so refreshing from the other yugioh formats. I like the meta a lot, and I'm thrilled that my OG Fireyarou is meta through-and-through. Mad Sword Beast would be proud.
Tomatosaurs on the thumbnail "🤨"
Who will take top 1:
Blue eyes? Lmachine? Bendorbreak?
Nop, will be 100 cups of energetic and coofee to no sleep for 3 days
Everyone over 25 is doomed.

Arguably the best card in the game right now!
Honestly when it comes PVP events or WCS similar to KC Cup I have more fun with Rush duels then Speed. 😊

Does anybody know what the next possible meta boss/archtype is going to be based on where we are at in duels
It could potentially be buildragon if we get a good wyrm skill, otherwise I would predict thunderbolt, assuming it actually gets released.
@Tomatosaurs ok so that's the next story line?

@Tomatosaurs Nice! Hopefully more food for Harpies
hella informative, tysm!!
Wouldn't mind playing Cyberse for this, but could you explain why the deck plays Reset Runner?

Is Forever Freeze can be effective in machine deck or any other deck?

Where is the talk about THE best decks? The holy trinity even, semeruler, bendorbreak and icezark, the tier 0
No mention of Bestacross smh
@@Tomatosaurs that's because its a top tier secret, don't expose him
We have to enjoy Essel while we can because after this I'm sure she will go Limit 3 or even worse (banned)

Top of tier 3 is a respectable position!
