After building a bare bones red-eyes deck to get by, I'd try to build a deck that is 1) simple and aggressive, 2) mildly competitive, 3) can auto duel well, 4) has all it's entire archtype in a single mini box.
For beginners, I would recommend some zero gem decks to you guys 1. Aroma 2. Cyber angel 3. Cubic 4. Cyberdark Just use tickets, cards from card trader and gate character rewards to build them, they’re super cool and fun decks

The thing i do when i make a new account is unlocking GX and Alexis Rhodes, Then i will create a Cyber Angel deck. All cards already in duel links except vrash can ge botten for free , and the hardes to get card idaten is playable (not better) at 1. Also i get Djinn Demolisher of Rituals, because it helps against lot of cards because of the targeting protection. With knowing that you can get a complete functional free deck, you can lean back a bit and get a bit aclimated to the decks running around and learning the game. Otherwise for example, i agree that the red eyes starter deck is the best to get first, because a) it is cheap b) it can be used for farming. A later deck you can get (but it is not completely free, the most important card is in a Box) is Amazoness for farming. It doesn't really hold up in the meta, but it it is really good at running over bots. Last thing i would recommend is actually your "routes" when it comes to going through boxes. Even stuff like the "rock route" where you get dark magician, Magnets and Triamids is a really good way to start. The last thing tip overall i would say is when you build decks: If you build a "meta deck" or a pre build deck, dont stress over building the deck perfectly. Take it as a goal if you want, but always let you think and maybe recommend ALTERNATIVES which maybe aren't as good but still do the job. Don't let anyone say to you "you need 3 book of moon, there is no alternative", but use yout spike trap holes, mirror forces, etc. which can also do the job.
You know so much about the game, but I recently got the game and my friends are just destroying me so easily. I don't understand how the link extra deck works. Or how to fuse my cards. I don't know how or what card is good to use. I mostly pick the cool looking cards instead of the cards that are good. Can you please guide me
If you Combine Red Eyes deck with Another Joey deck Gearfried deck And 3 sr ticket craft of Red eyes insight you got your self a one card combo that can put up two negates and can loop every turn to negate and search card😉
To kick off ya account, the Red-Eyes structure is ya best shot at farming the Stage missions and leveling up your unlocked characters, if you're looking to start off a competitive ranked deck, the Crusadia main box is a very good pick (in my opinion) considering you get to build 2-3 decks from it which are very easy to learn but mini boxes should be your first priority. Most importantly, stack up your gems as much as you can.
Depends on what you wanna do if your going for a long term account going for good staples early is best as you can fit them into whatever deck you want later.. if your just looking to have quick fun with pvp then mini boxes are good but understand you won’t be competitive in the upper ranks. While searching for staples you can make a better auto duel deck with the other cards your getting.

I think that today, World of Barian is the best box to open because of Tenyis. You can get Baxia on a Dream Ticket, and you'll have a good deck just by openning this box, and you don't have to pick anything from another place if you don't want
I still regret not dueling the standard duelits if i played them since i started dl most of my charschters wouldve been maxed if any new player sees this pls duel your standard duelists everytime they fill up
2 of my tips: 1. I would give an additional reason to choose Yami Yugi over Kaiba as your starting character. And that is because a bunch of characters' unlock Quests appear before those of the character you did not choose, however, their Quests will require you to playbthem with the character you didn't choose, essentially meaning that if you choose Kaiba, you are artificially raising the unlock stage of a bunch of characters. 2. If you are new to Duel Links, but not to Yugioh in general, consider waiting to start playing the game and spending gems. When your purchase bundles to get certain semi-staples (like Superpoly), they will come with a bunch of packs of the most recent box. While you consider starting the game, pay attention to whatever the newest box is and whether it is one you will want to invest in it, because that will be the best time to buy bundles.
The inclusion of Rush Duels finally made download this game, and I heard is heavily monetized, so that's why I'm here while I'll almost exclusively focus on that format, I'll also play Speed Duels and event PvP events if I have to
If u want to have fun go for decks that u really want to play with... Don't go for meta decks when I started playing I went for shiranui because I love the deck and from there I started gathering other decks

i used my red eyes black dragon its really good and easy. although i stopped for like 4years and now lots of new deck and my red eye deck barely catch up 😢
Anything that’s f2p friendly and really good has always been hit with the Konami nerf hammer focus on getting good staples first that you can fit into any deck. Cards like crackdown, warning point are solid. And book of moon is good to get with dream tickets. Having 3x of some of the best staples will help you build competitive decks later on.
Recommending return of red eyes is a good choice, but this deck has a tiny problem, IT DOES NOT CONTAIN RED EYES BLACK DRAGON, which mean you can't even use red eyes fusion to summon anything, just remind them to farm atleast 1 red eyes black dragon first
Yeah.but you should rush the 3 red-eyes black dragon.the toon red eyes is garbage as u cannot use the red eyes trap to special summon it from the graveyard unlike the normal red eyes b dragon..switch toon B dragon with the normal red eyes black dragon ASAP.also it's a good way to buy it in the trader as u can upgrade it to Prismatic in time..
Haha duel links noob here, i have a few dream tickets, but i cant use them on the cards i want,( finishing a tenyi deck). Is this because they are to new? Any help is appreciated.
I am new as well but i’ve heard Dream Tickets are restricted to certain box numbers and does not have the very recents boxes. To note some times really old boxes go on sales so if you intend to dig there for a few cards might as well do it during the sale.
Red-Eyes is a really good starter deck. I haven't played Rush but I am interested on how the duels in this format feels so I'm quite excited for it. Good luck

make a burn variant with free to play cards it’s nearly all monster mash and obtain the skill and use reverse engeneering on your own cards like with the toggle button you can use chalice on your own monster to stall to the next turn ( it’s no shadow tag ) but real fun to burn them for game .. enjoy ( it’s a lot like cubics)**

With soooo many anime bullshit op skills blue eyes struggles to hang so just off structure decks I doubt it’ll be possible unless 100% optimized. Personally, the reward for kog has never been worth it so I would just spare myself the headache and aim for platinum/legend if you invest in the deck
I had an old account and I had like 4 but I kept quitting and getting back in to the game and my last account I bought some deck that had some knights it was op every turn I would do a huge damage chain with a guy that would do 5k damage and I would get 3k lp a turn it was so op I forget the name of the deck though
WAIT for the 50% sales & have the autoduel AI be able to use skills, & be smarter I'm having issues with the the duel replay thing recently, the playback didn't gave me 5 gems at all
You can mix Silent Magician into draw-heavy spellcaster decks as a nice high-attack spell negate. I'm a fan of using it with gravekeepers. It's a bit tricky to play a whole deck around it though.
The red eyes pack is absolute trash compared to the round 1 wxyz tribute special syncro summon exodias dad that gets played. What is this trash nowadays
Always spend your ur tickets that have a dragon on them in normal monsters, because if you gather three copies of a normal monster (for example dark magician) you will get 5000 gems as a secret mission

It also helps teach new players the Link mechanic, as well as getting them used to building boards and graveyard set ups.

With soooo many anime bullshit op skills blue eyes struggles to hang so just off structure decks I doubt it’ll be possible unless 100% optimized. Personally, the reward for kog has never been worth it so I would just spare myself the headache and aim for platinum/legend if you invest in the deck

I had an old account and I had like 4 but I kept quitting and getting back in to the game and my last account I bought some deck that had some knights it was op every turn I would do a huge damage chain with a guy that would do 5k damage and I would get 3k lp a turn it was so op I forget the name of the deck though

I'm having issues with the the duel replay thing recently, the playback didn't gave me 5 gems at all
Don't worry ,is simply a cosmetic bug. When you restart the game or collect gems elsewhere those gems are added

The playback issue fixed for me on the last update but before that, I just had to fast forward and watch the whole duel

but you can mix in to make some fun, no competitive decks
You can mix Silent Magician into draw-heavy spellcaster decks as a nice high-attack spell negate. I'm a fan of using it with gravekeepers. It's a bit tricky to play a whole deck around it though.

Always spend your ur tickets that have a dragon on them in normal monsters, because if you gather three copies of a normal monster (for example dark magician) you will get 5000 gems as a secret mission
