Only two guys as talented as they are could make something so complex sound so simple and soulful.
I could not agree more with the other comments. The single best rendition of our national anthem. Boy could we use this being played in 2023. Absolutely beyond beautiful......
If this anthem doesn't give you chills I don't know what does
Just rewatched the History of Baseball by Ken Burns and I had to find this version. Excellent!
I just did the exact same thing...great way to reflect on the crazy year 2020 has been.
Me too.
The best National Anthem of all time
They should have these guys play more often.
I was a toddler and now today I look back on it (huge yankee fan) and I'm proud and I know somewhere in the sky lou gehrig is proud knowing his record was broken by a true gentleman and a class act god bless you mr ripken
Absolutely the best rendering of this iconic anthem. Great voicings by Hornby and Branford, tastefully stays true the the melody. Wonderful.
Bruuuuuuuuce!
Perhaps the single best arrangement and performance of the National Anthem EVER :-O
BRAVO @BruceHornsby & @bMarsalis
thank yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooou
Two superlative musicians!!!
Never done any better
It gives you chill’s but most of all it brings tears to your eyes a time of war a time of pease
Beautiful rendition
IMO other than Whitney Houston, the finest SSB ever. Fantastic. I was watching Home Team Sports (HTS) in Northern VA that night when Cal broke the record. Mel Proctor and former Oriole OF John Lowenstein on the call. They were as good an MLB TV PBP pairing as there ever was too.
Jerry knew talent when we seen it
None better!
A portion of this was featured in a video montage at the Babe Ruth Museum in Baltimore.
I was at this game with my late grandpa and brother and sister
Jerry definetly knew how to surround himself with some talent
Lively
Whitney Houston Super Bowl XXV #1 forever and ever.....this version #1A forever and ever...
That was so well done that if a certain football player heard it....it just might make him....well...probably not. Still....best I've ever heard!
It was like Marsalis knew the O was coming
WOW ,play ball !
