There is something magical about those LGB Stainz locos ... that's why I now have 7. I like the garage setup. Good option when we have 2 feet of snow on the ground.
I just bought a 2074D Spreewald. I never saw one when I was a kid though; by the time the first LGB catalog I geeked out over came around (1993) the original Spreewald run (2074D) was already over and done with. They did another run of them (22741) in the early 2000s, and what was probably a final limited run (24742) in 2018. I literally saw the 2074D for the first time a month or so ago, and thought "man what a pretty engine that is" and had to have one. Took me all of two weeks to pull the trigger on one. What I really want is a Nicki-Frank S, the blue one. I drooled over that when I was a kid. Those are harder to find now.

How did you remove the Engineer of your Stainz??? I am willing to remove him but he is ULTRA GLUED!!! I wan to repaint him...
