This is a friendly suggestion, please think about changing or varying your camera position, your hands/arms were blocking the shot some of the time and I think it detracted from an otherwise excellent video.
Thanks for the video, will be very helpful in rebuilding mine on a 2006 honda shadow 600 vlx which is somewhat similar. Thanks again and Jesus loves you , John 3:16-17 (KJV)
I believe those screws are JIS and not phillips. Using the right screw driver would make torquing them down without stripping them a lot easier. A phillips screwdriver will work in a pinch. If you have Japanese vehicles it's definatley worth investing in some JIS screw drivers.
I always end up forgetting and grabbing the closest Phillips anyway haha. However I have noticed it's tough on both the screw and driver when I use the wrong one.
Hey Sam thanks for the tips! I rebuild one for a friend but after the rebuild i try to blow the petcok to know if there passage but niether ON or Fuel i was able te pass air. Would it still work or will i have to purchase a new petcock?
Nice video! Maybe you could also post in the description the parts number for the rebuild kit? Also, I recall that there is a rebuild kit that includes the metal parts + spring, its code is 16953-MBZ-B51.
I am curious. Other then getting no fuel what caused you rebuild this petcook. I am going to rebuild mine however My bike is a Harley. It's doing something weird. Only when the bike is running It appears to leak around the hose. Hose is on securely btw. Thanks for posting I have an Idea what I am heading for. c];-)
Hi Samuel big help rebuilding my 98 Valkyrie petcock Very easy to follow instructions However when I received the kit there is an additional RUBBER piece TUBULAR in shape in shape 1/2 " wide 1/4" wide 1/16th thick Not large enough to fit over the tank screen Doesn't show it anywhere on the parts listing or my Clymers maintenance manual Any ideas B 4 I finish putting it back together If U go to my F B page type in George Lavallee JAX FL U will see my Custom Valk nick name the GHOST
This could easily have been the best instruction video on UA-cam, but it came out as one of the worst. All I can see is two blue gloves. Not very instructional.
Lol I read your comment and got offended so I went back to watch the video since it had been a couple of years and I’m like oh geez he’s right!! My bad guys, not sure I’ll have the inclination to do another one but if I do I will make sure to have better camera position.
Dude your Valk videos are really clear. Keep them coming - there are a lot of us Valk fans out there!

I actually do have a set for my dirt bikes but didn't think to use them here. Great tip, thanks.

Absatively! There is a subtle but distinct difference and yes it does give a more sure fit like a 6 point vs 12 point box wrench.
Same on my harley carb
Thanks for doing these and please do more if you can, it really helped me.
Where can I get a rebuild kit for a 1991 Yamaha radian
