Im actualy surprised that when Homing try to live with the comon People that they actualy had the balls to atack him. Sure i think he told them that he left Mary Joa to live together with them but if im not wrong he never told them that he no longer has the protection of the WG or the Marines. So what they where doing would normaly be suicid. Or was Homing actualy realy that stupid and mention that he cut all ties with the WG and they will never aid him.

Ancient weapons are said to be capable of destroying Islands . These weapons were made around 900 years ago considering they were used in void century.
On other hand Vegapunk's inventions are said to be 500 years ahead of time. One of his best invention is Pacifista but there is no way it is capable of destroying an island.

You're also assuming that the legends are true remember they're legends and most likely exaggerations and that the Islands in One Piece vary drastically in size so the claim that they can destroy islands isn't all that helpful. Plus the buster call is said to destroy an island but it doesn't really destroy it just the city on the island
Well there are certain devil fruit users we have seen that can destroy cities like nothing (Whiteboard, Enel etc).
I am just saying it's a big deal if they indeed are capable of great destruction.

I just always figured that was his delusional desire to climb to the very top. A top he can't reach. Considering how the world nobles treat everyone I bet they only breed with other world nobles but they are allowed to keep as many slave wives as they want. Here’s a dumb little idea that I might’ve posted before in the comments.
The D Clan have long been stated to be enemies of god (The World Government or any overly controlling authority) and have existed for a long ass time. Crosses are the symbol of the World Government, albeit not the Christian cross in full, but the Celestial Dragon’s are referred to as saints. So with the Celestial Dragons being gods or god, the D Clan function as the Devil. So, here’s what I think went down in the void century at least on that front.
There weren’t 20 original families, but 21. One of these original families betrayed the Celestial Dragons. How? Maybe they wanted to rule alone, or maybe they did something they weren’t supposed to. Biblically, the serpent in the garden of eden offered Adam and Eve (in the context of One Piece normal people) the fruit of knowledge. The most recent versions depict the serpent as Satan, who was cast from heaven for his arrogance and rebellion against god.
So maybe the theoretical 21st forgotten/hidden family head was the progenitor of the D Clan. One who offered a fruit to normal humans. Devil Fruits. The D Clan gave to humans powers they shouldn’t possess, just as the fruit of knowledge gave Adam and Eve knowledge they should not have.
So I think the void century included the original member of the D Clan (Who right now I refer to as either D. Evil [which is really dumb] or D. Morningstar) gave to people Devil Fruits.

I'm kinda against that idea when it comes to referencing the Bible. I'm more of the side that the current D Clan actually represents the Lost Tribes of Israel while the Ancient Kingdom represents the Kingdom of Israel.
The Devil Fruits are actually created by the 20 Kingdoms with Im-sama behind them.(Just so you know for the Bible the other gods like Osiris is a false god/fallen angel like Lucifer, making them demons/devils). The Nefertari Clan probably represents the only Pharaoh in the history of Egypt to worship only one god like the Israelites and his wife just happens to be called "Nefertiti".
One of the things that probably contributed to the fall of the Ancient Kingdom was infighting. Do you know how the falling apart of the Kingdom of Israel started? When King Solomon started worshipping other gods who are actually just fallen angels.
(The king of the Ancient Kingdom wasn't probably resposible for the creation of the Devil Fruits but there were other kingdoms that could have the technology, maybe like a precursor of the Germa Empire and then the king sought these Devil Fruits)
After King Solomon's death his successor wasn't really accepted and soon the kingdom was divided to 2, one is the Northern Israel while the south is the Kingdom of Judah.
(Two factions probably formed in the Ancient Kingdom, one is the ban of these fruits and the other is to distribute it to the whole world).
The other kingdoms around Israel eventually decided to disperse them all of the Tribes in the Northern Kingdom. Eventually the Southern Kingdom is actually dissolved. The Tribe of Judah stayed in the vicinity of Israel and out of that Tribe a boy is eventually born, known to the modern world as Jesus, real name Yahusha.
(These other kingdoms represent the 20 Kingdoms attacking the Ancient Kingdom and while we know the D Clan exist, not all of those that bear the initial D know the meaning of it. We only know that Gol D Roger knows its exact meaning. In real world not many really know whether they are descendants of Israel or not. With all this theory, I came to the conclusion that when Joy Boy was born there was no "Ancient Kingdom" anymore).

This is what I think:
A long time ago during the Void Century, the 20 kings were forming the world government. When the world government was just getting introduced, there was a group of people from the D clan trying to decide how to run this government. They were all the previous incarnates of the D’s that we know today in the show. I think one of them was evil and betrayed the D clan and caused destruction, but believed in freedom (He would be reincarnated as Blackbeard). I also think one of them was quiet had a strong will for justice. (He would be reincarnated as Dragon). I also believe there was another person who was fun and loud that believed in freedom just like the evil one. (He would be reincarnated as Luffy). But I think that Im sama and Joyboy were both the highest/mightiest members of the D’s and knew each other a long time ago during the void century when they were trying to decide how to run the government. Im sama believed that the descendants of everyone who was starting the world government must become Celestial Dragons, But Joyboy disagreed with Im sama and has his own ideal way on how to run the world government. So a Madara/Hashirama situation happened where they fought each other. But eventually Im sama got supreme rule of the world due to the power of his eyes. Since then, the Will of D. has been passed down. I believe the will of D. is to stop Im sama another D. who is basically the king of the world, or God,

It's a way to gaslight everyone and deter them from wanting to be free. Why is the king of the Pirates someone who wants freedom for everyone? Because the world government used to use everyone else as slaves kinda like how Big Mom forces them to Leave or Life. Think of how many parts of One Piece are about slavery. If anything, I would love and it would be an awesome move to show the history of One Piece and show the MC as Gol D Roger as he made history, perhaps the final episode could end with the birth of Monkey D. Luffy and finally revealing Luffy's mother as a twist :-D playing one of the "epic" musics of the Strawhats as the show ended there? I mean we could see the hilarious moments between Shanks and Buggy, see the clash between Gol D Roger and Edward Newgate "Whitebeard" at his prime to show the power of the strongest Emperor ever?

I think Charlos has a bit of an inferiority complex since his sister is the heir. Excessive displays of power usually means someone doesn't have a lot of self worth. After all if you are all powerful and you know it then why bother showing it? Especially to commoners to who'm you should have nothing to prove.
The whole "public opinion poll on the Tenryuubito" would be like this: Pro 200% and Anti 0%. CP 0 would immediately arrest/kill anyone who voted against the Tenryuubito and stuff the ballot boxes.
Doflamingo, while not a World Noble (though he "forgave" his father for condemning him to live with humans), was given the same privileges by the WG along with his title of Shichibukai due to his knowledge of the National Treasure and his hostage of the Heavenly Tributes from around the world. He used that to reclaim the Donquixote's former kingdom of Dressrosa from the Dold family.
Let's not forget about another freed slave of Fisher Tiger--Koala. In her early days with the Sun Pirates, she kept working like she was a slave, the lifestyle ingrained into her mind. It wasn't until Tiger ordered his crew to throw their guns overboard that she broke down. She eventually became a part of the Revolutionary Army and learned Fishman Karate when she grew up... and BOY DID SHE "GROW"!!!!!!!

The Gorosei aren't World Nobles, they are kinda like the Council that may have been made to keep the World Nobles in check but at this point they no longer can because the Celestial Dragons aka World Nobles see the Gorosei can and will try to keep them in check and instead they built the Ciphor Pol Agency to serve as their personal assassins that are given rights above the Gorosei.

The Void Century is a 100 years old war, but something horrible, terrifying, something so bad or so evil that happened during the VC that the WG doesn’t want anybody to know about it. If it’s just a war, then the people will understand that there will be death, soldiers and civilians. Was there already villages and towns at the top of the Red Line or did Mariejois was built after the war. After the WG come to power, they enslaved hundred of thousands, if not millions to construct Mariejois and the three navy buildings. It takes 100 years for the completion of Mariejois and the navy buildings. After the completion of the 4 buildings, the WG end up murdering/massacring every men, women, and children that were enslaved. If the people were to find out about this, they would turn against the WG in a heartbeat. The VOID CENTURY is also known as The DARK CENTURY.

Regarding Im-sama I would argue (I’m definitely not sure about it) that maybe they ruled the world since the void century. If you have to change the supreme leader every few decades for their first born kid (or by any other rule) the system would be pretty easy to overthrow (the father/mother dies - just kill the weak kid) at least by another Celestial Dragon. This leads me to think that Im-Sama could be living for such a long time and is powerful enough so that no other Celestial Dragon is trying to get his place.
Of course it’s a story by Oda - and it’s definitely possible to say that just all of the heirs to the throne were powerful enough to keep their place - but looking into the real world it’s definitely not possible (at least other nobles will take the throne from time to time by staging a coup)
what would be the point of overthrowing them since there not leaders theres nothing to be gained

Chris1111116, its pretty heavily implied that no one even knows Im-sama exists. So pretty hard to overthrow a guy whom you don't know is king, the only people betraying him he'd have to worry about are the Gorosei and even then we don't know enough about their relationship to him to say that they'd ever be discontent with his leadership especially in a world that is a straight oligarchy without ethics of any kind. They could be a cult for all we know and Im-sama is the god king they worship, that's a whole lot different than just run of the mill loyalty.

LupineShadowOmega as I said Oda could think of a thousand reasons to make it otherwise- but if you think of a realistic scenario: Im-sama cannot be the great-great-great-great...-grandson by the Im-sama of the void century- someone of the celestial dragons just would have killed one the offsprings. Only reason against it would be that the offsprings are already powerful enough to fight off anyone at a very young age.
It just seems more likely that Im-sama isn’t an offspring but the Im-sama of the void centuries (there are also many other theories based around it by other theorists using different arguments).
Inheriting a throne just never worked out in history- usually someone else at the royal household will take their chance whenever possible (and again the five elders know Im-sama that would totally be enough regarding the real world and how people seek more power)

And even then it wouldn't be a open secret, but rather one you give to the single heir of the family as well as the Gorosei of each generation. As for the Celestial Dragons, its pretty obvious that they aren't constantly killing each other off. Mostly because they don't have a reason to and we the audience/reader have never seen it.
As far as we know, all of them are the rulers of the world and its even government propaganda that they're all equal kings. Beyond that we've seen that most of them aren't particularly educated and kept tame with excess and diversion. The only way they'd ever have actual strife would be if the Celestial Dragons themselves had a civil war and in Oda's world that's never come up, one would assume because of the lack of education and the access to abject luxury and diversion. And in likelyhood they have protections in place against it, because Donflamengo can't be the first to ever have black mail on them as a whole.

I just came up with an awesome hypothetical. This is something I am stressing as not a prediction but an open possibility . What if Mjosgard exists to give us a solution to the problem with world nobles. It has been established in the moment when Mjosgard hit Charlose and was not punished that Celestials are immune to the law regardless, meaning no one has the right to stop a Celestial from fighting another Celestial. So a battle between Celestials can not be stopped. If Rosinate is convinced to work with the revolutionary army in finding like minded Celestials to be trained to fight then they could easily use the Celestials to win without any legal opposition. Now this all can only come to fruition if the Revolutionary does not, which is most likely the case, completely destroy the Celestials and Maryjoise as a whole. Just a quick idea, feel free to share your ideas and once again, this is a hypothetical not a theory.

my theory is that the ancient kingdom was made up of the fishmen, minks, tonta's, giants etc and the tenryubito were a group of kings that saw those "other kin" as less than human and all grouped together to slaughter them then enslave the rest (that's why the fishmen and minks are on the run) and the will of D was a group of "outlaws" that decided to help save them and they barely managed too. that's what Joy Boy was talking about (his promise to a Poseidon in the blank century) saying he'll finish this war and he'll get the fishmen BACK on the surface and my big theory is that the minks owned the redline and was chased off and the rest was "culled" P.S oh forgot the Tengu, long arm/leg tribes and there's probably a horned Oni tribe an alfheim tripe and an tenshii tribe

Well, taking into consideration the fact that there was a single Great Kingdom before the world government, and the fact that the main philosophy of the World government is the fact that there is no one ruler, no matter how hypocritical it actually is, the twenty kingdoms were probably the aristocracy of the Great Kingdom. The Twenty Kingdoms probably revolted against the single ruler/s family and they most likely used the Philosophy of there should not be a single ruler to rule the world to get the revolt to work. Because they were royalty before hand, there was probably an idea that went around with the commoners or lesser nobility that the fact that these 20 great kingdoms were in enlightened or that they somehow were touched by a God or a Celestial Being or something, for them, the 20 kingdom’s royalty, to realize how wrong it was for the world to be under only a single ruler. That’s probably where they got the idea of them being gods and such.
At least that’s my take on it.

I'm guessing a civil war took place during the void century and the celestial dragons came out on top and either were corrupt to begin with or more likely became corrupt from having power over the world. I also think part of the reason history is being blocked is because the founding celestial dragons either did something very underhanded to win or more likely were not exactly the good guys in that fight. Everyone knows the winner are the only ones around to record the history so they can spin it however they want and it most likely became easier to remove it then to cover it up.
