I know this video is from 2 years ago, but there is a guy that actually makes tracks for Asseto Corsa, and would be very interesting to see how it actually would work(maybe with some changes in elevation and etc.). I forgot the name of the guy but I think he could actually make this.

The Castle section is such a good bit, so satisfying when you nail it, even better if Hamilton tries to spin you and you end up blocking everyone, go back and forth to get free, accumulate 35 seconds of penalties for blocking and then carry on to find 13 drivers behind have been DQ-ed for blocking while stationary behind in a queue. 🤣
OMG, crazy, the EA coders went out of their way to make Hamilton a racing villain. LOL
The tracks name of course has to be "Circuit de 2020" because it just keeps getting worse.
And what's worse, it could be an amazing track (year), but leadership keep bungling it all up

And by the way, I think it would be even more interesting if you "added" the bumpy surface of Portimao, the horrible turn 1 of Istanbul Park, the corners 11-12 of Zandvoort (when I'm playing I always screw up there), and the pit lane entry should be like Belgium - the tightest it could ever get, with the exit like Sochi style - long and slow. But great job on doing the track, however, the Losail circuit (Qatar), that is set to host the race this season, seems even worse

Yes this circuit needs a really long slow pit lane to make alternative strategies impossible and result in every car saving tires for a 1 stop strategy.
Also the baku turns need massive runoff so track limits become the main talking point of the weekend
This would probably make a good race in 2021 seeing as how Spain, Russia and France managed to produce some good racing this season.

The entire season will be made up of just this one circuit over 22 races, and your race engineer will always say "No heroics into Sainte Devote" every race start.
All kerbs will be replaced by tall sausage kerbs, and every other corner there will be a massive Codemasters Suzuka last corner bump.

Correct me if I'm wrong, was it the Abu Dhabi track where Sebastian Vettel is so far in the lead where the other drivers are only competing for the 2nd and 3rd place? It's been a while but that moment really etch into my mind.
@@Zaffry1 i mean, Vettel has been in that position a lot in 2011 and 2013, it's not that circuit dependant. The problem with Yas Marina is that it is a boring, uninspired track, built where it is simply due to monetary reasons.

Imagine it geared short in older F1 cars with shorter wheelbases.
The overpass at Suzuki which changes a right-turn circuit to a left-turn one.
And the oval section from old Monza, including the merge in and merge out before and after it.
This track actually already exists as one of the 273 configurations of Paul Ricard.
I hate this parking lot with its painted swirls all over the place. It is ugly, distracting and giving me a headache.
Pflaumen August the swirls are to create friction and stop the cars from crashing.

There's an alarming number of turns here that I really like (Baku castle section, Abu Dhabi triple chicane, and Mexico T6 is one of my favourites ever)

NAME: Formula 1 Etihad Airway™ HEINECKEN™ Grand Prix Autodrom Marina Street Circuit. Real unique and memorable.
LOCATED in a country with questionable human right records and no prior F1 history. The actual racetrack is a 3h drive from the nearest city/airport, in the middle of nowhere and near the equator with a high altitude - To destroy the tires, as well as the engines on lap 2. The only "run-off" will be tarmac and gravel.
ALSO: It should be at the end of the calendar (17th, 18th race) to potentially ruin the Championship decider.

6:13 The Abu Dhabi corner 5 where Max Verstappen overtook Hamilton to crowned himself world champion. But hey, Max can overtake everywhere.
Yeah but the layout is different because they got rid of the chicane so it’s a flat out section into hairpin so of course you can overtake there now.
If Max made the overtake on the old layout shown in the video, then yes that would have been insane.
Nailing that last turn at Shanghai makes you feel like a god.
going from the Spa straight into the Castle section would probably end every race right there....

I always hate concecutive chicane with tight angle and short interval because it is very awkward to deal with. If i tried to get a decent entry, i would messed up the exit and vice versa

Don’t worry about elevation changes. To be a proper “circuit from hell,” it should be completely flat, with an industrial park on one side and a parking lot on the other. It should also be in Phoenix, AZ, and the race held in the middle of August.

I've only just started watching F1 this year, and I keep coming back to this track as I learn more about the tracks it refers to, and just how the sport works in general. I hate it more every time.

@@jamesupton6325 You know he designed the Circuit of Americas with the mountain to climb at first corner right? TBF most of his other circuits are a bit pants, too big run off areas, corners that don't gel well together, not much elevation change etc, so I'm not saying you're wrong.

Using the times from COTA and your assessment of a 2 minute lap in an F1 car; a NASCAR stock car will complete a lap in approximately 3.5 hours in dry conditions.

If was created in rl I'd still enjoy to watch. Since it be about driver error in loseing spaces rather then overtakes, and also could do the gradients of hight. But would need a few reclining walls to sure up parts. Thus I'm sure you would have class the whole track as a street one
I say we add in turns 8 though 10 from the Chicago street circuit (from the Grant Park 220 (NASCAR)) in between turns 9 and 10.
