I mainly use Reaper. It never crashes and is free to try until you decide to pay or can afford $60 for the license. No restrictions on Reaper and you can use 32 or 64 bit VST, VST 3, and Kontakt works in it also, runs Labs and BBCSO...only had a couple plugins that would not work with it. I recommend Reaper and you can use it on Mac or PC, 32 or 64 bit version.
Your course changed one huge thing in my life; mixing simple. A DAW like GB is perfect for learning how to record in a computer. It’s how i got started recording via computer over tape tracking. It’s simplicity of use can be a plus, because you don’t get bogged down in numerous plug ins and outboard gear. It’s all about energy, clarity, and a competitive volume.
My friend spent about 20k getting his pro tools rig set up in early 2000s, now all you need is a laptop 😁 My last 2 stock tracks were accepted on Pond5 (had a couple of rejections recently), game on!
What about arranging software like Band in a Box that creates an arrangement based upon a style? It's not repeated loops, but it is a starting point for many of my original compositions. Would that be acceptable?
I had Band in a Box it was very useful, unfortunately with my mac's latest upgrade I could no longer use it. However it creates original sounds from your input & arrangements with the versatility of chopping up and rearranging your composition after dropping it into your DAW, I doubt anyone would be able to claim its not your original composition even if you don't chop it.

That's great Greg!! Thanks for sharing.
Same, love Reaper.
CAkewalk Sonar is now free. I don't use it myself; I use Reaper, but I would use CW if I were starting from scratch and needed a DAW.
Can I sell my song made in garageband and bandlab as long as it’s not a stand alone sample yes ?!? Ty*

Good to know! Does smart drummer tracks count as a loop? Like if I use smart drummer, can I make stock music using it?

Why not? I know a library music guy who uses BiaB extensively as a shortcut to musical ideas.
