One of my first "wow" moments in KSP was on my first kerbal orbital lab spacecraft launch. I successfully launched and reached orbit, then moved time a bit to my next maneuver to increase my apoapsis. after the hop I was a bit confused "why is it dark all of the sudden?", then I look behind me and see a full eclipse in space. I was in absolute awe. Suffice to say, I missed my maneuver timing lol
I once had a space station that was out of battery and i was confused because i had solar panels and they were not charging so i kept on looking on what happend and then it started to generate electricity. Turns out i was in the middle of an eclipse
Tuviste suerte?? Se que hubo tormenta y mucha nubosidad, pero justamente en los minutos del eclipse total ¡Se despejo como por arte de magia! ¿Lo pudiste ver?
Thank you for posting this - reminds me of a) seeing a RL eclipse and b) during my first orbital rendezvous in KSP, a bloody eclipse happened and because I had no lights, I couldn't see a damn thing lol.
One of my scariest moments in KSP was when I was still getting used to Kerbalism and I returned from The Mun during an eclipse and my scrubbers turned off because I had no EC left.
Sorry, but I never noted the time. I just timewarped in the Tracking Station and eyeballed the alignment. You get an eclipse every six days, so it doesn't take long.

That was so great I no longer need to see the upcoming one, thanks!

Great Preview for tomorrow! Flew out to see this event in Dallas and it’s supposed to be cloudy. Please pray for clear skies tomorrow!
Im up by Ohio, about 40mins away from the path of totality. So tempted to take the day off and make the drive. Hipe you get clear skies man.
Good luck. We're holding off our decision as to where to go until tomorrow morning.
Flew there, too. Today was clear, let's hope it stays so
Good luck with the weather!

Incredible sir!
Thanks Mike =)
Beautiful 🥹
I once saw this on the map screen during a flight but I wasn’t over the ksc but I saw it on the map and it’s huge
Happy Kerbality!
Thank you
I dunno how you engineered that, but bravo.
Total kerbol eclipse
I saw the total solar eclipse from dallas texas, it was awesome!!
On my way back from Montreal Quebec after doing the same. It was amazing.
Perhaps they have a second eyelid that’s approved for viewing the sun.
Oh wow! :) really would love to do that in KSP2 !
Tried, but this doesn't appear to be modeled in KSP2.
@@MikeAben Oh its moded in Ksp1?
@@Cornet1991 No. There are some beautification mods involved, but the eclipses will happen in an unmodded game too.
Is this your creation or an actual in-game event? I love it either way. 👍
100% in game.
Cool. Can you share UT time of this eclipse? ;)

unsolved mystery :- why do kerbals dont need eye protection?
lol
(from desc.)
Their pupils are really, really, small.
Very cool but i have to point out that it's a anular solar eclipse😅
Nah that’s just the corona not the actual sin
How????
The Mun is in front of the sun. It actually happens every 6 days in this game.
Hi
