You might aswell use wing mounted engines and rotate them along the y axis using servos, or mount them on the fuselage (A-10 Warthog style) and rotate them along the x axis.
The old ps3 War hawk game had a cool plane called the war hawk as well as the nemesis. Both could vtol as well as quick brake. I copied the war hawk plane in ksp and it flew amazing. Brakes on a dime as well as good stability on vtol. I used a very similar approach that you used with the hinged thrusters. Cool plane you made dude for sure.
There's a much less insane version of this as an upgrade in a game called TOP DOG. It's a cool game. Basically, the upgrade makes strafing sideways overpowered and makes you really fast and agile.
idea: have two sets of wings like very slightly offset, but not visually offset, so both wings are on hinges that fold outwards, to turn wings into a powerful airbrake lol
@@RAVII0607 yeah, there's reaction wheels on both ends of the aircraft, and even then it handles like if someone strapped jet engines onto that balancing fork trick.
REVERSE THRUST REVERSE THRUST
More literal than funnelling air backwards
While irl : We have Foldable Phone!
KSP : Yeah, Foldable Jet fighter.
All that engineering into a reverse thrust, and it still can’t pushback on the ground lmao
The corsair used the landing gear for dive brakes aka air brakes. You decided to use the TAIL
"Oops sorry, paralel parking is so hawd >~
We Macross now, lads!
That was what I was thinking about fr
You gonna start pumping out those overtechnology from the alien ship.

Love seeing VF-11, it's just so rare to see on youtube.

Bot..?
@@RADIS370huh
@@TheGuyWhoComments think this is a bot trying to promote a game
@@RADIS370 it’s related to the video though, also, judging by the profile picture and name, it’s not a bot looking account
Macross fans in 2024?
I thought we were all extinct brother xD
I'm more familiar with Robotech, but they've kind of blended together a bit in my head anyway since they're basically split timelines.
What kind of transformers is this
You are mentally insane. I love it.
yet you manage to overrun the runway lol
That is such a cool design.
Y just made a Gundam mech
Bro took air brakes to another level
When chemical containment zone engineers get set loose they come up with this stuff
Good, now make the jet fly backwards in mid-air.
BTW, This is awesome.

Wtf did i just watch
airbrakes that mostly consist of just pointing the engines backwards
wait how its balancing when engines moving
Wdym

interesting
bro reinvented reversed thrust
