its strange to see that the navball has been the same for 5 years
It's not really the same, various overlays have been added to it. But the flight UI has, since the first public release I played (v0.7.3), mostly stayed the same with small additions with the addition of a few different features. It seems like they designed it quite well from the start.

It’s crazy to think how much IRL space tech has advanced in the time this games been out. Hell, the space shuttle was still flying (I’ll admit coming to a close) at the start of this games development. Now we have Falcon 9 landing on a like monthly basis.

In the new Kerbal Space Program versions, they made an extra tab for docking ports and decouplers. While this is a cool feature, I keep going to the structural tab. Old habits die hard :(

Very well done. This presentation is much more enjoyable than reading through the changelog on the wiki. :) Hard to believe I came in at 0.18. Looking at this video, I can see now that 0.18 was already an advanced version in its time, but KSP has changed so much since then!
It seems we both started at the same version , I didn't believe I had the game since then , but fact is fact!
Inter's Odyssey I started playing the game right after the mün introduction, and now I realize, holy crap, that's five years ago
I got in when 0.19 was the version. Now watching this video, I believe it's since 0.17 and above it started making GOODD progress.
Inter's Odyssey I started playing around 0.15 or so. The hype over EVA was real when that finally was rolled out a few versions later. Good times man

Bishop Vick And I never noticed... I just always had designed my planes to be 3 engined if they were meant for high altitude.
Yeah, they also fixed bad fuel consumption causing crafts to become unbalanced

Thought I recognized that music from somewhere. Love Starbound, cool to see its music alongside a similarly fantastic game.
I started playing back when there was no SPH and you had to make space planes in the VAB with the c7 aerospace mod.

Way back when, back in the old days, the SPH didn't exist. The only way to make a spaceplane was by downloading a mod called c7 aerospace. That mod eventually was refined and put into the base game.
Cloud 19 Gaming what else needs to be put into base game: scatterer,clouds,mk4 parts,robotic parts,mechjeb,kerbal engineer,b9 aero,hx,legacy,warpdrive,more planets,prop engine including electrical, more engines, size 3,75-20m parts, realistic mode (RSS), larger ksc, other star systems and many more.
and also kennedy space center replaces kerbal in RSS (realistic mode).

What they really need in stock to enhance gameplay
- improve textures (partially checked by v1.4), clouds and scatterer (if not too resource intensive)
- KIS/KAS in stock would really improve what you can do on EVA's. Adds a complete new dimension i.m.o.
- Kerbal engineer (Not Mechjeb. Modern SAS controls have all the functionality where Mechjeb used to be obligatory. Mechjeb for the autopilot is not playing KSP for playing KSP)
- Docking alignment Indicator. This handy tool is so widely in use (although not mandatory) that I bet over 80% of PC players use it. Same goes for Rasterprop.
- 5m parts would be nice, some structures for space station building too. Could do with a new XXL solar panel;
- Integrate Crows Sourced Science reports and Chatterer.
* I expect the Making History DLC will probably change the fuel types a bit around (haven't checked the logs, but will find out in a week or so).
For all the other stuff I don't see the point of stock. They detract from the core of the game: rockets, spaceplanes (and some jetplanes) and exploring Space! RSS is a niche on itself. B9 does not fit well with the (current) look of stock parts and I don't see why B9 should (still) have preference over excellent parts mods like Near Future.
I'm a big fan of DMagic Orbital Science, but Science gameplay on the lower tiers is so dominated by stock science, that it hardly matters. Only if you really insist on rushing the tech tree on a higher difficulty setting will it really influence gameplay, but if that is really your goal, why bother with Career instead of Sandbox?

I know nowadays people consider an alpha game as being released, but that's your mistake. It leads to gaming companies releasing products that are not finished and in a poor shape.
KSP came out in 2014.

Sam's Minecraft it is, and it's more of a No Mans Sky-ish terrarium mashup. It's like intergalactic travel met Terraria. In my opinion, Starbound is better than both.
Can't believe it's been so long since then. I remember first playing the beta all the way back in 2012. I've been a fan ever since.
I don't know why but those first versions for me looks a lot nostalgic, even knowing that I never played then (I started in KSP in the end of the year of 2014).

I first watched KSP on Robbaz's channel and it's the first time I saw the game. It was 0.18 where I really started getting interested in the game and remember watching a lot of videos about rovers made before rover wheels were a thing. Then I first played the game at version 0.19 but I never got good at the game in any fasion despite me being so interested in it and having the game for so many years

The early versions of KSP remind me of the KSP 2 trailer (especially around the launch pad)
