I think she must have meant the regular Negroni recipe is 1-1-1, which it is, and it's just edited a bit weirdly to suggest she means her version.
Yeah the original is a 1-1-1 drink but I don't make it that way either. I use half the vermouth or it would be too sweet for me. I'm a dry girl. I chuckled at this as well.

Yeah, poor Sohla, she applied for an entry-level job, negotiated to get paid better-than-average salary for her job title, and then complained after less than a year on the job that she wasn't making the same money as people at the company for years in higher positions.

We BEEN loving Sohla since she first showed up. I can’t believe BA saw all these comments about our love for her and never thought “hey... maybe we should pay this badass woman more and give her a show of her own”

Now compare her time at the company with her white coworkers. Now compare her job title. She applied for a starting position at the company, negotiated her salary, and took the job. If she''s unhappy with her salary after less than a year at the company, she has only herself to blame.

She is not compensated like her other white co-workers for video appearences, and POC in BA are paid less than white workers there. Her white co-workers are supporting her message. There is definitely systematic racism at play here.
Soonhyuk Kim She applied for a starting position at a starting salary. So she had a starting position and is being paid a starting salary. If she doesn’t know how to negotiate better, or apply for the job she wants, that’s her fault. By the way, she’s paid more than most people with her job title in NYC, too.

sohla is the most creative person ive seen, with all the culinary wisdom and freestyling (her date grilled cheese was amazing i made it)

andy’s pure giddiness when describing how his drink with the chili grapefruit tastes .... ive never seen someone so excited
I love mezcal and hadn't thought of that and when I saw the title card my heart skipped a bit and as I imagined how it could taste like I immediately felt his giddiness too as my cheeks turned red in anticipation of the heat of mezcal going through my chest.
I'm pretty sure this will be my next favorite drink
while I bet it's really good, it makes me sad to point out that that is the only drink that is not actually a cocktail here. A cocktail is defined as a drink that has more than one ingredient..in the drink itself. His is a mezcal, on the rocks, with training wheels, basically. Nothing wrong with that and I'm sure it's delicious...but a cocktail, it is not.

Solah: Hold my Old Fashion
It's a very well made old fashioned, almost spot on for the traditional recipe. The only tiny thing I would say is that a tiny splash of water or club soda, put in right after muddling the sugar, and stirred with the muddler to help dissolve the sugar before adding the whiskey. It really helps the texture and flavor. Simple syrup can also be used.
Molly’s recipe is literally BA’s best piña colada made by brad and i love that they stick to their favorites 🥺
Enjoy my college cocktail of choice: Four Loko, mixed with Red Bull and cheap vodka. I call it "Oh Dear God, Why?"

The shikanji is sooo good! I remember having the south indian version of it when I was a kid, which is a bit sweeter and flavoured with cardamom. Never thought to spike it with tequila, which works so well with the sour lime and salt flavours 💖

Background-Brad is generally one of the best elements to a mostly Brad-free video recipe.
Priya always cracks me up with her family stories. That cocktail looked dope too with the tequila and the black pep, definitely trying it when it gets hot.
For anyone wondering: It's a reupload and it seems like people freaked out about the old thumbnail where they were all drinking out of the pineapple at the same time, which they also cut out of the video (they cut around it at 12:25)

I don't necessarily think everyone was "freaking out" as much as they decided it was setting a bad example. I think it's a wise decision to show that BA is sensitive to just how dangerous this virus is right now.
I knew people would see it and react. Also why they specified WHEN this was shot. It's the Internet, moreover, it's UA-cam.
