If you're interested in the game just go and try it. It's one of the games of the decade for me, and I love how it makes it clear that graphics are not important at all to tell a great story.
Boukyaku I don't know about as a game but as a story "in a game" it is one of the greatest ever in that particular area and more people need to know about it.
@@-brownbread He played Finding Paradise as well and that one didn't get so famous, lots of people still think To The Moon was the first story driven game made to cry, Finding Paradise didn't have that privilege.
I forgot about this game! I still can’t remember much about it but I know that it’s art and it made breakdown crying. I should play it again one of these days.
Just found out that there's a switch version now, after rewatching all To The Moon trailers. I would love for this version to come to PC one day so I'll have the opportunity to replay this masterpiece with this update!
@Adkins Diet I know I've bought and played all the games! ^^ I mean specifically for this new, remastered version to come to Pc, as it's different in graphics to the desktop version!
I love this game. I can't think of anything more deep or thought provoking to say. I simply am just in love with this game and Kan Gao's/FreeBird's games in general. Play it. You won't be disappointed.
One of the best stories... would be cool if they adapted it for a limited series. Movies are too short, but a 10 episode on a streaming service would be awesome
A coping mechanism I use to feel better is to imagine the movie adapation trailer being an exact replica of the original in the movie's animation style.
I have played Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 7, The Mass Effect Trilogy, The Dragon Age series, God of War PS4, the Soulsborne catalogue, Nier Automata, Doom, Doom Eternal, Planescape: Torment, Fallout, Baldur's Gate, and so many more... To The Moon is still the best game I have ever played.
this game, to the moon, is chapter 1. finding paradise, another game, is chapter 2. a bird story is the prequel to the above, might wanna play that first tho impostor factory, yet another game, is chapter x and coming soon
I bought it on Switch for nostalgia (I love the PC version). I only have one question: Has the error that crashed the Switch (at the end of the game) been fixed?
They remade the SigCorp reception office, even though it never appears in _To the Moon_ itself, just so they could do a shot-for-shot recreation of the game's original trailer? -Seems unlikely. Finding Paradise confirmed.-

Alicia Carson Only the single greatest story in a game bar none for the Nintendo Switch. And one of the greatest stories in any medium of any kind for that matter.
@@gamersinger5118 Not an explanation, but ok. I'm just saying they should've made their trailer more descriptive, as a potential new buyer I wouldn't buy this based on this trailer
@@AliciaCarsson Explanation? Very little gameplay. Not much of an actual game in particular but an outstanding story and beautiful music to accompany your experience all in a more simplified pixilated art. The few little puzzles and such do little for the experience but the story is worth experiencing regardless. I would rather not give a description of the story though. That needs to be experienced from scratch.
@@AliciaCarsson Freebird only charges 10 bucks for the games (with the short A Birds Story being $5). The game is about 5 hours long and (at least on PC) comes with 2 mini episodes to expand characters further going into the sequel which are about 30 minutes each. It's not gameplay focused but every other aspect makes up for it. Think of how the original Talltale TWD kinda was in that regard. All in all it's very worth the money to experience.
@@Zunken the mobile version was a remake, and the switch version use the mobile graphics, so i was wondering if there was anything added on top of that version!

it's more story oriented, game play is simplistic but if you really want a good story from a videogame, definitely play this one and yes, tears were shed during my playthrough of this game
Coda Reaves it's a 4 hour visual novel with a few puzzles. It's also the most emotional game I've ever played. Like I tear up just from hearing the music now. 😭
A RPG game style, but like the guy before me said, it is more like a visual novel with puzzle solving to make you more into the story. If you are finding a game to play, ignore this game, but if you are finding a good story with humour and emotional moments, sad meaning behind a story even sader than that, this game is definitely a good choice

It's on the Switch now?
Finally! I can cry on the go!

why am I crying? Not again please
New to this series, and I must say it is quite impressive and motivating to see a game made originally in RPG Maker XP get onto the Switch.
I always wanted to play this game.
Now I am finishing it and crying a lot.
I love that this game is made more and more accessible.

Just by your reaction to the game, i know i'll like it. 👍
