These Newport 2s are clean. Black laces change the look completely as it plays off the black gradient piping. The issue with 2s is people try to wear them loosely laced like retro 1s. Run those lace further up the collar into the top lace holes and the silhouette begins to shrink so it compliments the bottom of pants better.
If they keep the 2 highs at 175 then im copping every solid colorway
Copped a pair and was unsure. But when they arrived I checked them out I loved them

I love 2s and have been stoked to finally get some new pairs, I can't believe these are as slept on as they are. Super clean and subtle colorway, classic color blocking, aged midsole. I absolutely love them, were an instant cop. 9/10 keep it up Jordan Brand! I would love to know how these would have done a year or two ago before the sneaker market cooled.
I completely agree with your opinion I think this is a beautiful Jordan 2. Green's not one of my main colors but they absolutely nailed it with this. If I put toos in my rotation this is one that I would definitely. Free Jordan to this is 10/10
Damn I mean I absolutely love the color way of these and would've already copped if there wasn't so much more heat coming for the rest of the year. Sneakers like the upcoming Reimagined 3s made me super selective this year so far. Also for the record IMO, I think these are just maybe up there with the Union 2s because it's almost an OG color way but with the green instead of the red.

Agree with u on 2’s being near the bottom of my list for Jordan retros but they’re growing on me too. Jordan’s done some dope collabs with this model that started making think different about them especially union and maison chateau rouge. I like these solid 7 out of 10 and for 175 had to cop salute
the unions are mad comfy too, the ankle collar is slimmer than the OG chicagos that came out Dec 30. All white shoes can make feet look big, and that aerodynamic shape doesnt help. The red piping on the 94 retros and the green on these break that white up nicely. The rattan have the orange piping that is OH SO dope.
I'm with Foamer, this is a great shoe, buckets trips on the regular, don't mind him.
I got these at 10 am when they dropped and I can’t wait to get them in hand and to style them. I’m from Boston and the green and cream just did it for me personally. I agree these are some of the best two’s ever

Buckets takes are always trash. I don’t like 2s but these are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 these are actually the 1st pair of 2’s I’ve ever bought. Still waiting on Nike to ship my pairs out too btw
Nothing but 🔥, the green lovers have been getting spoiled - first the Gorge Green 1's and now these. When I think of the 2 I'm thinking almost that retro tennis shoe style, like a classic Puma but just a higher top, absolutely perfect for some. The right colorway comes out and I'll rush for my pair.
I am not a big 2’s fan but I copped these and I like them.
It definitely has more of the boot vibe, and agree it’s not my favorite green, but when you rock these you see necks breaking towards your feet. Extremely attractive shoe.

I feel like 2s are for older heads usually, but the 2 lows look a lot better in my opinion the ankle collar is a killer, i prefer the Nina Chanel ones that came out not too long ago but the best 2s in my opinion have been the unions and the shelf life lows but the burnt rubber lows are also a contender.
The 2’s are my favorite. And this color is 🔥 being that in a Celtics & Ducks fan. I like these better than my Lucky Green 9's. Green is also my second favorite color too. This is the year of the 2's! Can't wait till September 23rd for the "Black Cement" 2's to drop.
Blk cement 2s are definitely on the hit list. I hope there is no hype around them.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the 2's. But had been eyeing off the grey cement. I tried them on and loved them. Now I have the lucky green too 👌👌 love the 2's now. Love the old school look
I was scrambling to get MY pair. In my area, there was only ONE 10.5 in the entire mall. No one else got them! Don’t know if they’re shipment was late or what, but my FL, Champs, JD, did not get them. Only store was shoe palace, who only had 1 size 10.5 in their entire stock
Apparently the OG Chicagos are sitting still from 31st Dec last year and that pair I scooped up straight away without hesitation for retail but I think its gonna take really something for another pair of 2s 🤣! Im still kinda on the fence about the if I really need the A Ma pair of 2s but I do like most of these 2s that has dropped. O W low OGs are complete fire. The Just Dons are nice but too boxy lookin' for my tastes
THESE ARE DEFF my favorite 2's of the last 5 years.. IDC that they are not a collab.. JOINTS ARE CRAZY fuego! copped a pair and i love em.. BUCKETSS is crazy on the green statement.. this is the same green on the stan smiths.. CLASSIC
Got my Chicago 2 on sales at footlocker Europe and I'm super happy, glad i'am a size 7 it was way cheaper for smaller size...

Chicago 2’s are the first Jordan’s I ever had as a kid when they first released so I will always love them. Grabbed them when they dropped recently and grabbed these Green ones too. I love green and I’m a Celtics fan since the Bird days. I hope people will always hate 2’s please continue doing me a favor.

Union 2s were trash imo, these are better. These look like a classic sneaker. I gotta decide if I can pull off the bulky high tops. If these were low tops I’d be all over em.
With you foamie, these are better than the Unions. More clean and classic, which was the origional target Nike was going for. If I didnt know better bc of the history, I would take them over the chicago 2. These shocked me. The reason you think of them as boots is bc the paint pattern from the bottom of the midsole to the outsole makes it look like a heel on some models.

i'm not a j2 guy either, but the off-white lows were bangers and i like the 2014's Chicago Home, but these greens are actually pretty good. i wouldn't buy them or wear them - not a green fan, but they flow pretty good - subtle.
I’m not a huge fan of the Jordan 2 these are not bad but I coped the Jordan 2 Chicago and the reason for those is these Jordan wore them plus the originally came out when I was in jr high

I personally like the AMM collab is the best in my opinion but I like these, it’s the perfect shoe to have with the BDay gear 🍀🍀 (was able to cop em) it’s subtle and not over exaggerated which is why it earned my 8/10. Yea maybe more could be better or less but I’m not complaining.

Very few 2s i can mess with tbh , probably my least favorite model out of the OG Js. Nike has the money and can afford to do so ; but I still think Nike / Jordan brand is taking a huge gamble with the amount of 2s they are dropping in 2023 , especially as i see the vast majority of them sitting.

Amen. I liked the AMA way more in hand. I normally hate 2s, but I persomally like them as well as the far more hyped AMA 3. I find myself wearing them much more than I anticipated. A great jordan retro for older guys like me.

I agree that these are better than the Union 2's. The Union 2's feel overly designed and honestly the hype outweighed the design. I thought about getting these but I'd rather have the neutral grey's that are coming out soon.

Out of classic jordan shapes. 7 and 9 to ME are FAR UGLIER and are hard to style in laid back country club kinda preppy fits. I never need a 9 or 7.

I was really hesitant on these but today I saw them on feet and I have to say they are 🔥 I was mostly afraid by the bulky look but in fact it’s not chocking on feet so I think I m gonna get my hands on a pair of those / maybe on on the Chicago color way.
