This is a bit too glamping for my comfort. One of my favorite things about camping is the no-frills nature of getting back to basics. Either a campfire percolator or pour-over for me.

Hey Taylor, my wife is considering the French press over the mini when camping. Will you be doing a video on full sized mug'o'coffee?

+Elderoth410 I'll be doing several different videos in this series. 🤘

Or if you did NOLS, ‘coffee sock’ which I’ve let go a few years ago, now it’s a good quality (not glass) French press. Reading the comments helped me hone the method. Yummy coffee!

It would be great if you could update links as many items are no longer available. Please and thank you. Great content!

+John Eli Other than heating up the water, it takes 2-3 minutes. The water doesn't add that much to it either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I will always prefer you, Taylor and Michael Fisher over these hollow tech personalities who are honestly interchangeable at this point. You guys aren't afraid to cover things that aren't tech related, and you aren't so loud and obnoxious. You say the things that need to be said and then you sign off. And you have fun with it, you don't just regurgitate the latest Samsung spec sheet or the list of things Apple has removed from their latest Mac books and iPhone. You go over things that are relevant to the average consumer.
    That is all...

But why not just use a Bialetti Moka Express for less than half the price and skip a few preparation steps? Nice video though!

+Konrad Dorfling In my opinion, this tastes much better than what I've made with a Moka. But I'm covering several different ways to make coffee while camping.

MOD well that's great news to be honest. I just got a moka pot the other day en really enjoying its simplicity. But I will follow your coffee journey

I used to keep the super fine grinds from my old grinder in a separate container. Then I'd just put a tablespoon or two in one of my fine mesh tea strainers and pour boiled water over it in my little cup.
Works well! I now have a nice stainless steel coffee press, and it's amazing! (The glass ones didn't last long enough...)
Bring some nice coffee with you, whether coarse ground or not doesn't matter. Scoop enough in for what you want to make - a half pot for me is about 1/4 cup, full pot is a 1/2 cup.
Top with boiling water and wait about 4-5 minutes. Give it a stir, and wait another 5-10 minutes (for example, multitask your camp breakfast at the same time, everything's good to go at the same time) and you've got a nice pot of coffee for you or for sharing!

“First, you’ll need just a few items”
*Pulls out 15lbs of gear. Ha.
Still, a great breakdown of the Wacaco.

I would skip the scale. Just fill the beans in the filter basket and thats the amount of beans you need to grind
