How could you not appreciate the AWESOMENESS of Neil , his voice is just the very best. And the beat....doesn't get better than this❤❤❤❤
She lit up at that chorus. And yeah, the background vocalists are wonderful.
This song extremely romantic
Neil Sedaka is a fantastic artist, he is a great friend to the Bee Gees..
he'd been around a few years by the time he released this...was a 50s 60s guy, wrote a lot for other artists
Love Neil Sedaka
Love your reaction to this lovely song because it's just gorgeous and always makes me smile. From one of the original genuine classic American songwriters this song will always be mentioned whenever great songs are discussed. I'm still smiling as i type
Was a freshman in college when this song came out. Ah yes, the good ole days.
Need to react to Neil Sedaka Should have never let you go. He sings this with his wife so cool 😎
He actually sings it with his daughter Dara and it's one of my favorite songs!
Great live performance.
My gosh, this reminds me soooo much of sitting around the dinner table when I was a little girl. My parents would play this record. ❤
It's just a feel good song!
Hello MixxED RE...Thanks for your reaction to Neil Sedaka. Neil began his career when I was a teenager in the late 1950's. He had a string of hit songs until the mid-late1960's. He was a composer too with his songwriting partner, Howard Greenfield. They composed light-hearted love songs mostly for stars like Connie Francis who was the Number One Female singer from 1958 to 1963. Neil's hit songs include "Oh Carol", "Calendar Girl" and "Stairway to Heaven" to name just a few. The overall quality of the original recordings I remember hearing as a teenager are a good introduction. I'm happy you are reacting to the :Oldies". God Bless. Here is a link to an old video (1959) with the original recording we heard on the radio then. It was an innocent age. We kids thought our music was :cool", I still think so too. Such a sweet song 😍
Oh yeah classic yacht rock 😊 love it
Everybody who was anybody performed on the Midnight Special!! I used to hate it because it literally came on at midnight and I was too young to be up that late😭😭 But I could still hear all the good music from my bedroom while my parents watched it in the living room.😉
Such a sweet love song, They dont make musis like this anymore. I feel sorry for todays young people.
This present generation will not create music so beautiful as this song, why? They stop be creative with lyrics and all about hypes and now. The present is important, however, the future is even more important........
Brenda Russell is singing background on this awesome song
Always love a Brooklyn boy from Flatbush.
Purely for your own pleasure, anyone who enjoys this song really has to watch a version sung by his daughter Dara, as a very proud father accompanies her.
I saw one where she is much younger, posted by Guillermo Navarrock, and I do prefer Neil's voice but the love between father and daughter so obviously displayed, makes that version rather special
This song is so pretty. Real love songs
You almost got the name right. The a in Sedaka is pronounced like ahhh. He wrote a LOT of songs, not just for himself but for others. One of my favorites is what he did with Breaking up is Hard to Do. He first released it in 1962 (ua-cam.com/video/tbad22CKlB4/v-deo.html) and then re-released it again in 1975 with a completely different tempo that makes it feel like a totally different song. I'd put money that you will love the 1975 version. ua-cam.com/video/W-m7kiKMmvk/v-deo.html
Neil wrote soooo many great songs including Love Will Keep Us Together by Captain and Tennille
Back in the day Sedaka was a hit making machine for himself and others...
React to Breaking Up Is HardTo Do (the slow version) by Neil Sedaka.
Please please listen to Lea Roberts version
She actually recorded it before Neil sedaka
I'm sure you'll love her version❤
Studio version is better.
