I purchased a pair of these last year for my gravel bike lock down project build. Love them with either 32 or 38 mm tyres with tubes. Not ventured into the tubules world yet.
Hi It’s good to see Campanello doing so well with pricing and great decisions of late considering some of the other brands like Sram and Shimano on their group set are becoming ridiculously expensive. The wheel set is quite competitive price for a nice set of carbon endurance wheels. Looking forward to seeing how much they are in Australia.
@@sebibuchs yes I cannot believe that Campy isn’t the most expensive any more in the top tier which is probably good thing for campy strange times we are living in😊
I bought a pair of these rims. And when I unpacked it, I noticed that there were small edges or ridges on the rim flange. These look manufacturing-related. This is the first time I've seen something like this and I'm wondering if this is normal with this rims.
Did you set them up tubeless with the included 50mm valves? With the screw (6mm) in place I have only 4.5mm left for my pumphead to grip into to inflate the tyres on the 40mm rear.
I picked up one point you mentioned about the logos on the wheels being removable. So they are just a sticker? There is no clear coat over them? I have a set of these on order and I want to remove the logos but I don't want to ruin anything.
We never had issues with broken spokes, the old alloy rim brake Shamal wheels had problems here and there with broken spokes. The shamal carbon give a really great impression also the bearings run ultra smooth once they have a few 100 kilometers on
I know this is an old video, but if it is possible to answer this... I am looking for a P/P carbon wheels and could get them pretty cheap. I m currently riding a Canyon Ultimate on stock wheels with a 28mm tyre. Is this wheelset meant to be for a road bike or should I look elswhere? Thanks
Hi, I have had bad experiences with Zipp freehubs whereas the Campagnolo Freehub is really reliable and rarely has any problems...in terms of rims I can't really compare, surely both of them make good rims
As there are surly lighter wheel sets (the hyperon ultra for example) they are still very good wheels with good rolling characteristics they have a nice and wide inner width to go with a 26-30mm tire and of course the tire will be crucial as well as the pressure and then the weight can be neglected almost
@@Bodiotinho I never had the pleasure to experience the ultegras in real life but they are a bit lighter and still have more or less the same rim profile so they would be a good choice
Whats the benefits ? It worth the 1000 euro? To me are too much ! I feel noticeable better speed when i upgrade to premium tyres e.g. . But doesnt worth the lifespan of 3.000km , so i switch back to stronger tyres. Its same with wheelsets? WHat service they need and how often?
The wide rim bed is definitely an advantage to run wide tires with low pressure. Also that they have a carbon rim but disc brakes so the carbon rim won’t use over time. They have stainless steel bearings (cup and cone) so they need regular cleaning and regreasing especially if you ride alot in the wet or on gravel but they are very good bearings / hubs who roll very smoothly
@@Godspeed961 surely there are faster rims but their profile is ideal for 28-32 mm tires and they are definitely fast rolling and also fast in the wind
thanks for the question! the shamal do not have ceramic bearings and a striking difference is the inner rim width: bora wto: 19mm / shamal carbon: 21mm; the shamal will better support wider tires

Yeah right! With the new Dura-Ace, group set prices are closer together than ever (the top ones) and campy isn‘t event the most expensive anymore

When they are new they are pretty silent and with more kms they tend to become louder. If you ride them in the rain alot they will get pretty loud
