- When a beautiful product arrives and you can’t ride it because the exact bits that are required cannot be found, do you: 1. Wait? 2. Look for alternatives?
I’m doing both. While I wait, I’m experimenting. Here is a clip that I made because I was interested in what might come of mixing my SRAM Force AXS eTap 12-speed groupset with a 12-speed Campagnolo cassette.

It’ a work in progress, and there’s more to report but this is a cycling product video, not a movie.

Gorgeous video. Your passion shines through.
FH-XDRA33 is the part number you need. Free hub body for xdd cassette
Excellent. Thanks a lot.
I'm not sure what to think about the move away from Campagnolo CULT bearings for the cup and cone implementation use on these wheels now. I know Shimano is loyal to cup and cone bearings and it works out well for them. I went to a bike shop yesterday and held the rear Shamal Carbon wheel and was impressed by the quietness but spinning the wheel I experienced a grabbing feeling coming from the bearings and this wheel was not buttery smooth. I pointed it to the shop guy and told him I believe the wheel had some bad balls in it. Hard to fathom Campag producing something of poor quality but they brought the price point down somehow and I think it was in the hub. They are bringing more of these wheels in so I will test another wheel then before I pull the trigger on buying. They are great looking wheels though.
Have you bought them?
SRAMpagnolo!
shamal carbons + ekar + Moots Routt/No22 Drifter X/Seven Evergreen or Bixxis Fronda if I decide to go full Italian steel. that's my next gravel build
What's the rider weight limit on those wheels 🤔🤔🤔
I have 2016bcampagnolo bora one carbon .i run into cross winds alot .I'm interested getting The Shamal ultra how do you like those wheels .will that be a big improvement as far speed still and handling or are they made strictly a climbing wheels
Is there a follow up?
I was thinking to myself how can the rear wheel weigh so much more than the front before registering it has a cassette installed. This is not just weighing a wheelset, it's a scientific experiment which proves that you can totally miss something right in front of you because of your predisposed state of mind.
You held the rear wheel and displayed it from every angle, I see the wheel and even thought to myself it has a Campagnolo SR cassette, but my mind didn't connect the event because I'm used to weighing a wheelset with no parts installed.
pair wegiht ??
You need to get to the point faster.
hard video to watch
