Hey mark great video. I opened my variator on my piaggio typhoon only to find out the previous owner lied to me. There were 4 5.5g rollers and 2 7g rollers. well i guess that explains the vibrations in my foot panels i think. I really appreciate your videos which gave me confidence to tackle the problem myself.
My choped up low rider yamaha scooter only has kickstart and nothing else and its loss of power or hp is fd up it only gets going a few seconds after full throttle and some times not at top speed. I kinda know what i need yo fix on it thanks to your video's you are amazing man keep it up. Im doing some more work on it this weekend i will let yall know what happens after i overhaul the belt, and pully berrings. Stay tunned.
Lots of little things wrong with this one Mark. When the electric starter was not working on my project scooter, I did the normal checks with a multi meter. Just to be sure it was the solenoid though, I bridged the terminals with a wire. Started straight away. Good to double check sometimes it you can before ordering.

I'm wondering if you checked the crank oil seal when you took out the variator. it's unlikely it would run at all but could have been where the excess oil was coming from.

Mark, how do we do pms? I’ve asked you about this speedy2 that I have, can’t get more than 45kmh out of it. Spacer removed, weights at 6.5, new belt, standard exhaust opened, dumb pipe blocked off, dellorto type open cdi installed… I’m pulling my hair out.
hi mark, my mate has a speedfighter and the wheel isnt moving on revs but then sometimes moves, no bogging or power loss, i am aware the person before put new rollers but npot sure if thats the issue, any ideas ?

Loving the videos. I got a small problem mines is smoking bad and it brakes up and cuts out and wont be able to start it again till the next day with some carb cleaner in the intake. Im currently using the blue 2 stroke but been told that makes them smoke more than red mixture or will it be to rich and need to lean it out a bit?
It shouldn't be over smoking as it mixes with the carb as the petrol comes in with the pump It should like your rings may have gone ? However if you are have to clean carb all the time and guess clean plug then it's over mixing and needs tuning as in my tuning video ,I have over 70 speed fight video to help plus another channel with all of them on a play list
Hiya Mark, watched a fair few vid's on the speedfight, my son has one and has had a few problems that ive managed to sort using you help. Thing is, the bike suddenly stopped last week and will not now start again, work to date to try and fix, carb off and clean, compression test (ok), new spark plug, head off and check (ok), reed valve out and check (ok), we have a good spark and fuel going in but no bang ! any idea ? Andrew McFarland did you do the wet hand test ? It still can be the piston bud even with compression ! Take off the head like in. Y videos and check the piston and down the sides They do wear and you don’t know what 2t oil he used or if he ran it dry With over 70 videos On speed fights they will help
Mark honestly your a talented amazing man amazing videos been watching you for years but I do have a question about my lexmoto fmr 50 when I'm on 30 roads I get to 30 and cruise then all cars are picking up from me I get to 40 and going same speed as them and this is every time and it annoys me as I don't in a if people are going faster if my Speedos out I hit 52mph downhill hitting engine limited my moped is restricted as Well
hi bud ,thanks for staying with me and watching my videos, I do have a video on the fmr and they are nice peds mine wouldn't do more than 30mph at all, maybe its the 15sotne lol you will always get car drivers up behind you and pulling out in front of you etc, the best thing you can do is keep riding as you are and dont be pushed to ride any faster than you need or want to, maybe fit and crash came like I have on many of my bikes ( videos on here how to fit ) and use the videos captured video to report them if dangerous they forget its your life in there hands when they do that take care bud and ride safe
Hi Mark, would you be able to take a look at my Speedfight 2? Has trouble starting, the kick start is dud, doesn't pull away, exhaust is loud and smoky, had to change electric choke to manual because it wouldn't work etc.

so it starts up and ticks over? but wont rev up or does it stall / bog down I have many other videos that will help on my channel most under speedfight but will still help if bogging down check out my video on this also clean carb service videos / plug etc they will get you back on the road bud
Hello Mark, I've got a question about my Speedfight 2. It starts without any problem, it stays on but when I want to drive away its going terribly slow. It revs up, but going very slowly forward. After a while the engine runs better and it seems the problem is gone. I can't figure out what the problem is. gr. Michel (sorry for my english)
Hi Mark need a lot of help from you. I have a speedfight 2 100 2006 model . Few weeks ago i tried starting my moped to go to work and it would start I tried starting from electric start and nothing but when kicking it wouldn't turn over either, instead it maid a load popping noise sounding like comin from exhaust then in starting making a chugging noise like an old steam train. So anyway today I stated ran fine for a minute apart from not exceeding 20MPH and them completely died . Not starting from electric start and no compression in kick start.... HELP PLEASSSEEEE

Hi mark, I commented under your last video. I messed around with my air/fuel screw and it wouldn’t start. You advised me to use easy start and adjust from there. Unfortunately, my bike still wouldn’t start. I checked for a spark & cleaned my spark plug yet it still wouldn’t start. What do you think it’d be? Could you help me please? madz Rt hi bud sorry I get a lot of comments and some slip Lol Oh ok so it was running ok then you adjusted the carb now nothing Take off the carb and clean / service it wash air filter and change plug Re set carb then try kicking over to start and see how it goes If starts all ok then tune if now use easy start as before What was it running like before ? The compression of fabulous, piston had been changed with 70 kit about 2 months ago and it hasn’t really been ridden. Only just up and down my road! Spark plug is fine a tad bit wet if anything but nothing too bad

as you must know i don't like 70cc kits they are hard to sort the mix right and fail . you can still have compression bud even if it has failed at the side, if no luck with the carb and settings i'd take it off to inspect just to be sure mark
Hi mark , i have a Gilera Storm 2t 07 plate , i ran into a problem when ive done my upgrades , i have a Polini Hi-Speed variator in 5gram rollers - the blue contra spring in the clutch assembly and red (medium 1.4) clutch springs and a stage 6 pro rep exhaust which powerband is at 1050rpm , the bikes pull of is really slow until powerband ? I was wondering you can give me a hand on what i can do , if you need a video of me driving it and showing you and example im more then happy of you can shed some light on what i should do , was thinking lighter rollers 4.8grams , also i really enjoy your videos as there is no informative moped mechanics about that know there stuff , keep up the good work :)
hi bud thanks for watching ok with your bike 5g rollers are light and really should be pulling away well, what jet are you running and did you up jet it ? with the sports exhaust you might have to too get more fuel into the head to get it going along with a tune up otherwise work your way backwards and put on the old clutch and see how it run then the vatiator and so on then you might find out where its going wrong hope that help mark
mark savage hi mark and yes i up jetted to 68 mm main jet , also inhave a derestricted , i was thinking the contra spring ? The bike does 60mph , stock air box
so it's all running well just pull away, i think your right have a play with the variator make it's all running as it should with opening up when revving mark
mark savage i think it may need a lighter contra spring or harder clutch springs ? To let the bike rev higher before engaging into the clutch bell housing ? Because its engaging about 4000 rpm when ithink it should be at 6000 rpm + becasu the type of exhaust ?

Hi. I have the benelli 49x 2014. And i have problem. When its colder(morning) it gos ok. But when I come back from work it really strugels to acceleration. It has no power(hp) but when it gets going its good. But when I stop 🚦 it it strugels again. Can you help me?

Some mopeds / scooters only have a tiny fuel tank But that's not a lot of miles or kpm Its it 2t or 4t A good service so plug and air filter Tune ? And clean carb like in my videos and if 4t get the valves looked at What sort of speed are you getting as the faster it goes the more fuel will be used
I’ve just purchased this bike off the people you sold it to mate and they have informed me they got it from you and it now has trouble starting , we’re shall I start mate ?
yes I remember it ran fine just didn't like electric start from cold which I did tell the them to kick start it and not to open the throttle and it would and did start fine it was a good bike last December, they changed the carb and said that was the problem and heard no more I did say from the start to bring it back or I would fix it if they could bring it to me as they collected I never like selling a bike that has problems and honestly thought it was all sorted, they contacted me a few months ago to offer me it back as they no longer needed it so you bought it then mark
they changed the carb and think they got a Chinese carb not speedfight so check that first as they never really run right as air mix screw has to be all the way in to run changing rollers on a moped, it's always worth a look and clean and see if they are ok before paying out but 6g are ok to change to i'd give it a service so plug and clean change air filter and go from there bud mark
hi bud , the rectifier so we have the stator coil , ht coil, regulator so guessing it's the volt reg which is under the floor plastic cover, you will have to take loads of panels off to get to it or electric part are under the front main fairings and indicator relay is under the clocks watch my videos as they will help with getting to it and sorting it hope that helps mark
cutting out when riding is more likely to be fuel problems , have you check out my carb videos?on how to check and clean your carb fuel pipes and float problems mark
that's the question bud, it comes down to which moped and year , what condition it's in.best look at other moped on sales sites go have a look and buy the best one that you like and runs the besthope that help bud but it's a difficult question to answer mark

they do make black 2 t oil bud along with green and red so it may not be the wrong 2t oil, but its ok as you have drained it out just refill once all out with 2t oil and start and run, if it is the wrong oil so 4t engine oil may sure you get it all out and take off the pipe to the carb an run the bike with a little 2t oil in with the fuel till the new 2t oil comes through

Oh ok so it was running ok then you adjusted the carb now nothing

yes i think you might be right if it's not letting it get off and at such high revs

Go up in 4s but I’d of said tuning as running on choke it’s ok and then off it rich !

they changed the carb and think they got a Chinese carb not speedfight so check that first as they never really run right as air mix screw has to be all the way in to run
changing rollers on a moped, it's always worth a look and clean and see if they are ok before paying out but 6g are ok to change to
i'd give it a service so plug and clean change air filter and go from there bud

Hi Mark do you know where the rectifier is on speed fight 2
hi bud , the rectifier so we have the stator coil , ht coil, regulator so guessing it's the volt reg which is under the floor plastic cover, you will have to take loads of panels off to get to it or electric part are under the front main fairings and indicator relay is under the clocks watch my videos as they will help with getting to it and sorting it hope that helps mark

Because I has already changed the ht/coil and it just cuts out when riding
cutting out when riding is more likely to be fuel problems , have you check out my carb videos?on how to check and clean your carb fuel pipes and float problems mark
I have already cleaned the carb and I am also change the 2 stroke pump because my 2 stroke light keeps flashing when it is full with 2 stroke

that's the question bud, it comes down to which moped and year , what condition it's in.best look at other moped on sales sites go have a look and buy the best one that you like and runs the besthope that help bud but it's a difficult question to answer mark

I uploaded me draining the old 2 stroke out and its black if u can go and check it out cheers
they do make black 2 t oil bud along with green and red so it may not be the wrong 2t oil, but its ok as you have drained it out
just refill once all out with 2t oil and start and run, if it is the wrong oil so 4t engine oil may sure you get it all out and take off the pipe to the carb an run the bike with a little 2t oil in with the fuel till the new 2t oil comes through
