Nice to see a motorcyclist who has not got mopedphobia , I’ve had big bikes all my life , 53 now , but my current bike is a Forza 300 and to be honest I’ve never enjoyed riding as much as I do now on the Forza.
I've had a few burgmans 400 and 650 too and loads of 50cc and yes have to say on the day can have as much fun on them ! Just nice to just on and off you go Take care bud

so glad ur doing these again ive fixed 2 speedfights with ur videos on my 3rd one but bit stuck new battery new starter but when press the start button the terminals just spark no click from relay ?
There will be a few on this one bud and thanks for starting with me So battery on right Micro switches ok Rear light comes on when you press the lever No click from relay ? But spark ? From where bud Double check starter wirers that they are not touching And the live is on ok and covered and not touching the start! This can do this Earth ok ? If ok you will have to take panels all ok and trace all the wires to and from bud
@@marksavage many thanks bud yes double checked battery on ok starter wires ok brake light comes on when press brakes in put a new kick start kit on and she does try off the kick but doesnt fire tried couple spark plugs replaced ht lead good spark but unfortuntly still no joy

Hi mark, I asked a while a go about my speedfight3 how I could make him excelarate faster and I checked the variator and put in some lighter weights and that helped a litle, I also cleaned my carb and now he starts very well. I also found a little pipe at the begin of my exhaust that was pinched shut, I cutt it open a litle and it pulled already better, so now i'm thinking about buying a new exhaust and air filter and if the top speed is to high i can lower the weight of the variator rollers, do you think that will work or is it a waste of money? Thx for the interesting video's already learned a lott!
hi bud good to hear that these few bits helped but your sp3 is cdi restricted so you can and I would change the exhaust but you will only get a few mph out of it but it will sound better and the engine will run better plus the air filter will get more air in so it is worth it but to get the most out of it it neds to be able to have full revs which is down to the cdi and yes if you do id put back in new rollers again for top end as you will have much better pull away
to be honest only a sports exhaust and air filter , a small upjet and sports VARIATOR but it wont have a major improvement as they are cdi restricted sorry to say bud thanks for watching and take care
I had a MK1 Speedfight water cooled got it running after 5 years left abandoned it was a right state now it can run 55mph all day such good bikes just cant beat the old school stuff. And oh my the pup is massive now!
Yes bud they are a lot of fun with a little tlc which you good at too Millie is 6 months now , should get too much bigger i guess but will put on some weight lol Take care bud

Thats a good speed bud to be honest so clutch won't make much of a difference I'd be happy with that Maybe a small upjet by 4 and a tune but otherwise I'd be happy Thanks for watching
Hi mark, I have a 125 vx Gilera runner with a malossi 210cc kit and pm61 exhaust. I rid it to Hastings and back to Eastbourne with no fault (around 30-40 miles) just when I was nearly home I was messing around and reved it lots as I was slowing down from about 50mph, the exhaust piped and back fired lots. Because I’m an idiot I thought that sounds good and slowing down from around 20mph I reved it lots again and it then just cut out with no noise and it hasn’t started since. I’m hoping I just flooded it? I changed spark plug for a new one turned bike over with no spark plug in it and still nothing. If I spray a bit of carb cleaner in the air intake it tries to fire up for a split second 🙈😢 any rough idea from your knowledge would be helpful please. Love your videos keep em coming 👍🏼
HI bud so its got a massive 210cc kit on it so bet it does go well and has been done properly and tuned . the banging would have been un-burnt fuel? so could have been due to failing or compression or power! guessing your saying you have no spark it would be your cdi!! why spray carb cleaner in the air in take? it cleans the carb it wont help start it ,that would be easy start but with no spark it will never start bud id say cdi bud you will have to use a power meter to see if you have power from your stator then into the cdi then out of the cdi then into the ht coil or pop it to your bike shop and ask them lol
mark savage thanks for your reply, I bought the scooter as a spares or repair project and bought an engine off eBay as it came with a 210 kit on it, I put the engine and it ran perfect straight away for over a month and I’ve done about 500 Miles with no problems. The carb cleaner was something I saw someone use to start a bike once so thought I’d give it a try 🙈 it does seem to be getting a spark I don’t know how big the spark should be but I took the spark plug out and turned it over and there was a small spark coming from the spark plug so I assumed it was ok? I’m hoping the 210 kit hasn’t gone bang ☹️
I I watched your video on reasons mopeds won’t start that was interesting, and I think helped me take a few things off the list. if a cylinder head has gone would the bike still try to fire up?
mark savage so, today I got home from work and thought if I can’t get it started today I’m going to strip it down to see if the piston is nackerd, I took the side panels off and checked the spark plug lead and connectors then noticed the see-through fuel filter had no fuel in it then I noticed there was no fuel going to the carb!! So take the bike home and checked the fuel gauge and it said it had a quarter of a tank so I dropped bottom fuel line out of the tank and there was no fuel!!!! So turns out it’s got a faulty fuel gauge reading it has fuel when it doesn’t!!! The needle does move to full when I fill it up! Thanks for your advice sorry for wasting your time!! hi bud worth pouring oil down the head and leaving for a day or two and then putting in gear and rocking back and forwards if its a head seize if bottom end not so good bud to be honest they were better built in them days so you might be lucky other wise its all off and new bud

Hi Mark. I acquired a Speedy 2 AC. AFTER stripping it, restoring front end, fairings, new paint job and electrics, I got it running. Ok can’t seem to find why I can’t get more than 50kmh from it. Variator ring removed, new weights 3x7/3x5.5 and new belt. Open CDI dellorto electric oil pump type. Original exhaust de restricted and blind pipe removed, also emissions pipe. New coil and plug... where to go from here? I did the same on my Yamaha neos ‘97 and the motor not only is more responsive, torquey, it does 75-77kmh. The Speedfight launches the first few meters then the rpm stays steady and the speed very slowly picks up to 50..🤷♂️
exhaust bud ,best replace that to let more gases get out plus a sports inbox air filter will help maybe a small upjet say 4 then a tune all this should help

@@finleygoldsmith2322 as you know after watching my videos like 70 kits don't do it , it's often piston failure However test for spark and fuel like in my videos Did you upgrade the plug Bigger carb or upjet Air filter Sports exhaust? How was it running before and how long for What 2t oil As is it 2t of 4t bud
mark savage is a 2 Stoke and I wasn’t on the ped so it was running for like 15 to 30 minutes I believe I wasn’t there and he said it boged then he kick started it then It just died just got a new stark plug it’s all upgraded I don’t know I lot about ped how to fix them I’m sorry just trying to get it looked at
@@finleygoldsmith2322 if it was me I'd be taking the head off and check out the piston for damage or scoring! Then I'd put a 50cc piston and head back on lol Much better If you have done all normal things like in my videos so you have spark and wet hand test thats what id be doing Bud
Hi Mark. I have a speedfight 2004. And when I'm driving a bit my oil hose comes off from the carburetor not the hose but the metal part which goes in the carburetor. What can I do to fix it. I thought maybe I could put some hot glue on the end of the hose or is it a bad idea?
This does happen and it a reason why the end up seized? You can sometine tap it back in wirh a soft top hammer otherwise yes glue it in but I'd use silicone
Hi mark I've got a yamaha aerox which has been fully derestricted and has a leovince pipe on it with 15x12mm 4.3g rollers but I need more power up hills any recommendation's
I'd of used 6g bud A small upjet of plus 4 from standard Race air filter These will help as long as the bike is in good order Serviced and piston is good bud

Hi mark I have watched a lot of your video I have a problem am fixing a skyjet up I not touch any of the wireing but put the battery on started first time but very Smokey it been standing for long time but I done oil change clean card out before I started it that's my first problem the second one is I left the battery on over night and when I took it off the next morning Todo some work on it the positive lead's where hot at the touch what can cause this any help will be appreciated
no wires should get hot unless on the wrong way or a power drain which there shouldn't be!! re charge the battery and connect and see how it is and dont leave on lol smokey not to worry about unless it does it all the time then it maybe rings but if it runs ok id leave it and just keep an eye on the plug , keep clean bud
Hi mark hope you and ya family are doing well. I'm having a problem with my 49cc liquid cooled speedfight 2 if watched ya videos on carb tuning but can't seam to get mine sorted. When I start the scooter It it seams to want to move on its own I've turned the idel screw down till it almost dies but it still wants to move on its own so I got a new throttle cable still does it. My next problem is when I set off it seams to struggle the goes but when I come to stopping it seams to rev night then eventually drops but still waiting to move forward on its own and its stressing me out big time as it's booked in for an mot Thursday
Hello Mark wondering if you can help. Son has a speedfight 3 ac 2012. When he’s been running around 40min plus, it occasionally won’t go above 5mph then suddenly starts working fine again. This can happen for a few minutes or longer. Thanks in advance.
With out hearing or knowing how the engine is running and I'm guessing that's fine I'd be looking at the variator belt and clutch like in my videos The sp2 set up is the same on the sp3 so they will help
Nice video i subbed .I found speedfight in good condition 98 year for 550$ And i want to get it .Please tell me if its worth and will it be good for me.I want to drive it from home to work daily and i live on a bit hilly place .Will this 50cc 2 stroke go uphill
As for $ for a 1998 that's a lot but if its in very good condition and runs very well then I'd go for a view and test ride If there's loads of hills I'd also change the roller for 4 g to get more go out of it but you would lose top end but for every hill there's a down to pick up speed lol 1998 here £300 to £400 but I know the USA pay more I've 70 videos if you do by it to help you keep it on the road If you can get the 100cc! Bit more power but the 50cc will still get you there Take care bud
@@marksavage i got it mark it is in good condition i asket the guy about the piston and he told me he changed it 3 4 years ago.Out of that it runs great and it pulls nicely and its sounds nice.Should i touch somthing pistons or else or should i just drive it.The thermeter guide is broken tho how can i fix that stuff (the point goes fast immidiatly but its not even hot)

Hi Mark! I have a Speedfight 3 Darkside 2012 50cc 2T LC. I have restricted sport exhaust + Restricted CDI unit possible restricted everywhere. I have 12.5mm carb and 82 size main jet. It has been serviced by professional the moped was good the max rpm 10500-11000. But one day get slow down, and between 6-7000 rpm I lose or lost the acceleration for a sec. The moped strugguling between 6-7000 and max speed 25-28mph. That problem always come up so I bought a new carb same 12,5 mm size. Same problem. The carb looks clean inside outside. I pull a full throttle and I always more times lost the acceleration between 6-7000 and need a really long straight road to can go further than 7000rpm. Could you advise something? Thanks

I spend a lot of money on it last year: bought new pulley plate, variator rolls, Clutch Shoes Complete, drive belt, air filter. It was serviced in half year ago after it ride well so I did not think it is a variator etc. They said they clean the carb. But someone in tha past a bit broke my clean filter house wher it is attached to the carb. Could it cause the problem? Any idea based on the youtube video - too much or to less petrol etc.? Thanks!
hi bud well 30 mph is standard , AC 42 TO 45MPH, LC 45 TO 50MPH. no i put everything on one of my sp2 it was blue and it did 62pmh and pulled like amazing, it was mad and the best ive every had out of the 100s ive had over 100 speedfight videos on my channel bud

I got a GY6 2011 TaoTao I put a big bore kit in it was a 50 I change it to a hundred everything brand new give me a hard time starting not cranking properly.... Any ideas

alright so my front brake doesn't work and I've tried everything, I'm consider its broken. The brake has no power, do i just buy a new or is it commmon on these mopeds?
Very common rhe servo goes If you have good pads and the piston it free to move and you have refilled the the servo up and tried bleeding it and it won't pump it more than likely needs changing Have you tried a pump bleed unit ??
going to let them out weekly as often people moan there was too many to view lol, plus still waiting for parts to come to finish parts off but looks more like there will be more than 4 !!
you will need a power meter to test the power from the stator coil to the battery bud as this maybe the problem or faulty indicator relay , blown bulbs , this is what mine was as in my next videos bud
I have a problem with my speed fighter2 when i start it. It runs backward. And then after i cut it out and start it agai n it runs the right way around pleaese help
I've seen this before and for me it was a faulty starter motor Once I changed it It was all ok !! I'd try this bud first as it should sort it Take care bud

hi bud worth pouring oil down the head and leaving for a day or two and then putting in gear and rocking back and forwards if its a head seize if bottom end not so good bud to be honest
they were better built in them days so you might be lucky other wise its all off and new bud

Hi Mark. I acquired a Speedy 2 AC. AFTER stripping it, restoring front end, fairings, new paint job and electrics, I got it running. Ok can’t seem to find why I can’t get more than 50kmh from it. Variator ring removed, new weights 3x7/3x5.5 and new belt. Open CDI dellorto electric oil pump type. Original exhaust de restricted and blind pipe removed, also emissions pipe. New coil and plug... where to go from here? I did the same on my Yamaha neos ‘97 and the motor not only is more responsive, torquey, it does 75-77kmh. The Speedfight launches the first few meters then the rpm stays steady and the speed very slowly picks up to 50..🤷♂️
exhaust bud ,best replace that to let more gases get out plus a sports inbox air filter will help
maybe a small upjet say 4 then a tune

mark savage is a 2 Stoke and I wasn’t on the ped so it was running for like 15 to 30 minutes I believe I wasn’t there and he said it boged then he kick started it then It just died just got a new stark plug it’s all upgraded I don’t know I lot about ped how to fix them I’m sorry just trying to get it looked at

Hi Mark. I have a speedfight 2004. And when I'm driving a bit my oil hose comes off from the carburetor not the hose but the metal part which goes in the carburetor. What can I do to fix it. I thought maybe I could put some hot glue on the end of the hose or is it a bad idea?
This does happen and it a reason why the end up seized?
You can sometine tap it back in wirh a soft top hammer otherwise yes glue it in but I'd use silicone

These will help as long as the bike is in good order

Hi mark I have watched a lot of your video I have a problem am fixing a skyjet up I not touch any of the wireing but put the battery on started first time but very Smokey it been standing for long time but I done oil change clean card out before I started it that's my first problem the second one is I left the battery on over night and when I took it off the next morning Todo some work on it the positive lead's where hot at the touch what can cause this any help will be appreciated
no wires should get hot unless on the wrong way or a power drain which there shouldn't be!!
re charge the battery and connect and see how it is and dont leave on lol
smokey not to worry about unless it does it all the time then it maybe rings but if it runs ok id leave it and just keep an eye on the plug , keep clean bud

I'm having a problem with my 49cc liquid cooled speedfight 2 if watched ya videos on carb tuning but can't seam to get mine sorted.
When I start the scooter It it seams to want to move on its own I've turned the idel screw down till it almost dies but it still wants to move on its own so I got a new throttle cable still does it.
My next problem is when I set off it seams to struggle the goes but when I come to stopping it seams to rev night then eventually drops but still waiting to move forward on its own and its stressing me out big time as it's booked in for an mot Thursday
Hello Mark wondering if you can help. Son has a speedfight 3 ac 2012. When he’s been running around 40min plus, it occasionally won’t go above 5mph then suddenly starts working fine again. This can happen for a few minutes or longer. Thanks in advance.
With out hearing or knowing how the engine is running and I'm guessing that's fine
I'd be looking at the variator belt and clutch like in my videos
The sp2 set up is the same on the sp3 so they will help

Nice video i subbed .I found speedfight in good condition 98 year for 550$ And i want to get it .Please tell me if its worth and will it be good for me.I want to drive it from home to work daily and i live on a bit hilly place .Will this 50cc 2 stroke go uphill
As for $ for a 1998 that's a lot but if its in very good condition and runs very well then I'd go for a view and test ride
If there's loads of hills I'd also change the roller for 4 g to get more go out of it but you would lose top end but for every hill there's a down to pick up speed lol
1998 here £300 to £400 but I know the USA pay more

If you can get the 100cc! Bit more power but the 50cc will still get you there

@@marksavage i got it mark it is in good condition i asket the guy about the piston and he told me he changed it 3 4 years ago.Out of that it runs great and it pulls nicely and its sounds nice.Should i touch somthing pistons or else or should i just drive it.The thermeter guide is broken tho how can i fix that stuff (the point goes fast immidiatly but its not even hot)

Hi Mark! I have a Speedfight 3 Darkside 2012 50cc 2T LC. I have restricted sport exhaust + Restricted CDI unit possible restricted everywhere. I have 12.5mm carb and 82 size main jet. It has been serviced by professional the moped was good the max rpm 10500-11000. But one day get slow down, and between 6-7000 rpm I lose or lost the acceleration for a sec. The moped strugguling between 6-7000 and max speed 25-28mph. That problem always come up so I bought a new carb same 12,5 mm size. Same problem. The carb looks clean inside outside. I pull a full throttle and I always more times lost the acceleration between 6-7000 and need a really long straight road to can go further than 7000rpm. Could you advise something? Thanks

I transfered the old main jet into the new carb. That is the 82 size.
I spend a lot of money on it last year: bought new pulley plate, variator rolls, Clutch Shoes Complete, drive belt, air filter.
It was serviced in half year ago after it ride well so I did not think it is a variator etc. They said they clean the carb. But someone in tha past a bit broke my clean filter house wher it is attached to the carb. Could it cause the problem? Any idea based on the youtube video - too much or to less petrol etc.? Thanks!

hi bud well 30 mph is standard , AC 42 TO 45MPH, LC 45 TO 50MPH. no i put everything on one of my sp2 it was blue and it did 62pmh and pulled like amazing, it was mad and the best ive every had out of the 100s ive had

alright so my front brake doesn't work and I've tried everything, I'm consider its broken. The brake has no power, do i just buy a new or is it commmon on these mopeds?
Very common rhe servo goes
If you have good pads and the piston it free to move and you have refilled the the servo up and tried bleeding it and it won't pump it more than likely needs changing

I got the same issue with my Gilera no brake light, horn and indicator also the dash doesn’t work.
you will need a power meter to test the power from the stator coil to the battery bud as this maybe the problem or faulty indicator relay , blown bulbs , this is what mine was as in my next videos bud
