I miss my Soundqubed trunk build with the ole HDC 3.1 12" I had 2 in a built to spec slot ported box being pushed by 2 CT Sounds AT 1400.1D amps strapped at 0.65 ohms roughly after box rise. For the highs I had a pair of the Soundqubed QP series titanium super tweeters and for the mids the Soundqubed QP MR-6.5 Pro pushed by a Diamond Audio D6 600.4! #SOUNDQUBEDFTW

It's interesting that the impedance dropped at high power even though you are playing the same 43 Hz note. Do you think it was due to a clipped signal? If anything, I would think the impedance would slightly increase simply due to the voice coil getting hotter. Do you know what caused the impedance change?
It was not the most efficient test when I did the videos. It was cold out which made the lifepo4 lithium cells not nearly as warmed up enough to handle the current draw. I trust my 70-80% clean power tests for impedance more so then the clipping signals as it's not good to put an amp down to the high 11/low 12v range and into clipping levels. I say amps rising to around 1.3-1.5 ohm from .5 starting is where I am at currently near peak which is great.
Its normal for the impedance to drop as power increases. Have tested this many times, and many videos showing the same thing. Thats why you should always test, what should happen, or what we think should happen, gets proven wrong alot. But dont ever stop trying weird things, it just might work?

I’m not to familiar with many powerful 8” subs. If you can find one rated for over 1,200watt rms then That’s a good option. The x would be good option, seen quite afew impressive systems with them in 8”.
@bojow8102 a 160 with a single sub has been done countless times... Also on single driver setups with less cone area than Jacob's. Tbh I'm not hating on Jacob's build, I dig his content & projects & respect the output he displayed in this video. I just think calling it "certified bonkers" is way overkill considering the current state of car audio... or even where single driver builds were a decade ago.
I just bought a dd9518 sc.. I'm worried that it's a dual 1 .. I have a jp23 v2.. and also have a Orion 2500dz laying around.. I'm worried about running them at .5
You still have a few options, starting at 2 ohm to see your results too. Electrical will be important if half ohm but also make sure it's not clipping.

From my own research SoundQubed has never done their own engineering. SoundQubed does not have a R & D department. They are like 90% of car audio companies a " Sales Marketing " make minor changes to amps, speakers & woofers & literally slap own company logo on... SoundQubed is decent but by NO means high quality average or better than average at best. Not hating just facts

Jacob, is it a musical box, or are you going for a one note, maximum SPL score? Either way, it's a really nice system, and impressive as hell. Especially with one driver. 👍
It’ll still have bandwidth 26-28hz and up to 48-52hz but will be peaky near tuning for louder output. Not a flat dB response but still play the notes with good output.

Personally I've been in a low spot, with depression (think some of it is due to it being winter time) so I haven't accomplished anything on my build recently. I'm hoping to get out of this funk soon & start gaining more ground. Lol the bass in my daily just isn't enough. (Daily currently has two 12s on 3k)

You can't measure watts like that. For all of your wattage measurements you are missing a power factor component. For AC wattage it is volts x amps x power factor. Your wattage measurements are actually "volt amps, VA". Actual wattage will be less than what you measured, maybe 20% less.
I thought the Soundqubed 6k was an amazing amplifier. Well I've never had one so you know more about it than me. The Soundqubed S1-2250.1 amplifiers are amazing. I had them strapped at 1ohms for awhile and they always work good. There at 2ohms strapped right now but when I get my second Resilient Sounds Platinum I'll be back at 1ohms.
They were putting out over 5,300 watts each at under 12v at a 0.9 load. So if they were at 14.4v they would be well over the rated 6,000 watts. How exactly is that weak? Are you saying that they are currently maxed out and increasing the battery voltage is not going to raise the output power any? That seems hard to believe. The voltage ratings for the amp clearly shows it can make increased power as the voltage gets higher. So please clarify what you mean by them being weak. Thanks

They make the soundqubed anyway ,,its there secondary line , They redesignd there amps to no affect ,they still ca t hold ratings and are nothing more then a budget amp line. In order to get your 6K that you say out of them you would have had to push 16 volts into him and that means they would have went into protect because no sound you can get up that high without going into protect even though that they say they can everybody knows they can't this is been proven over and over again
@@JasonWW2000 You may get 5000 Watts for a second but that's all you're getting then it's going to drop the hood down to 2,000 or under and that's what it's going to be sustained for it will rise and then we'll drop it won't ever achieve back to that point . Everybody knows this ! That's why they're a secondary line. They barely make rate. And when they do ,, they cant hold it ! I'm doing burps on it is not a consistent way to measure whether an amplifier can do, or measuring it for a couple seconds that's not an accurate gauge of what an amplifier can do it's only showing top Max battery performance most amps out there can have the same effect when you first turn it on and it's fully charged

Friend of mine has two 7ks strapped and he burps just over 15k on two 15” plats. Have a short of it on my channel. (How is the glass not broken)

Please do a Windy 6Th Order next time you do a huge build, you usually do 4Th Orders so it would be great to see something different
When tuning your gain setting on your sub amp do you put your subwoofer setting level on your headunit to +10(max) on the kenwood?
I always set the head unit to max on the subwoofer level and bass flat(0).

You could always sell that battery and go with LTO. Cant wait to see the final result!
But keeping a 14.6v max charging alt so probably not a good option if staying 14.6 and below? Don't plan to change alternators.
