Alot of the older (ten years back) PPI and SS amps did or exceeded rated. Issue was when the people that cared left they just started rebadging junk. Nice to see these are actually decent. I wanna see a test of the Rubi Nanos and the new PPI Power Class. Though.
I recently installed one of the stealth models in my motorcycle. I made the mistake of assuming max power meant half or less in the real world. I blew a $200 set of polk audio speakers in a few days. At the beginning of the video I was like Ok where's Dickriculus? Then I saw the dyno, cool good job Soundstream. Thanks Big D!
👌😝👍
Love your videos always do it right. That is why I will always watch your reviews even if you do not always do a dyno test.
Thanks brother 🤟
That's not a bad value for the money and it looks cool.
I'm looking forward to you testing the four channel.
Yeah boi!
That's Great for Soundstream. Thanks for the video. YES PLEASE DO THE 4 CHANNEL
It’s coming up tomorrow 😬
Solid review Big D. Not a bad amp either, especially given the price point.
I agree
This is pretty cool. We lusted for smoked plexi and lighting back in the day. Solid amp in my opinion.
Wins points on looks IMO!
I like to read archived audio magazines online and I discovered Soundstream was quite the revered car audio outfit back in the 1980's
I love tarantula aeries amps. They all do very good power. They all sound good too.
Interesting to see. Looks to be pretty decent quality. Hope to see the 4 channel test.
The 4ch is already in the editor 👌
For the money this thing is a beast. Unreal.
I would really like to see the 4 channel tested. With the way this one looks and performs I can see myself running 2 4 channels, 1 for my mids and highs, and the other in 3 channel mode(if it has it) for midbasses in stereo and bridged to a sub
Awesome 👍, soundstream are not the Beasts they were of the Old School era, like many other legendary names; but I'd still give it a double 👍🏼👍🏼 for the price and performance. Good Job D
I’m happy to see amps rated honestly, still wish they would get rid of the Max stuff though
sound stream has been around for 30 yrs.. Great amps! and there subs are bad azz to.
Wow, what a turnaround for Epsilon. Finally an amp that does what it's rated. Haha, they have been deceiving folks for so long they just had to put that 6000 on the box. I like it though, no matter what they call it.
Agreed! We are moving the right way!!
Alot of the older (ten years back) PPI and SS amps did or exceeded rated. Issue was when the people that cared left they just started rebadging junk. Nice to see these are actually decent. I wanna see a test of the Rubi Nanos and the new PPI Power Class. Though.
@@wal 😇😇😇
The Soundstream name needed this.
Absolutely
I recently installed one of the stealth models in my motorcycle. I made the mistake of assuming max power meant half or less in the real world. I blew a $200 set of polk audio speakers in a few days. I now have to take it easy on the new ones, and every time I smell anything close to a hot coil, I shut it down fast. If interested, I have a 2nd one I am not using. I could send it to you for a test video.
You should start doing a “ long term” test, I hear a lot of manufacturers can really shine for a few months but then they crap out, this manufacturer being one of them. Thanks, keep up the good work.
That would be cool 😎
Williston Audio Labs or like a torture test, I.e. leave an amp cranked in the back of a hot car etc.
Great video 😁 keep pumping them out
Would love to see a dyno test on the wolfram 4 channels 😉
Will test one soon 👌
I have had my Taranto for Five years no problems
Just bought this amp, thank you for making this video!
👌😬👍
How do you like it so far? I'm interested in getting one too.
@@MookieFlex bro mine blew right after i installed it and i dont wanna knock the brand so dont take it that way, because i have bought tons of soundstream products, but there wasnt a replacement available, and i ended up going with sundown audio and i just gotta say WOW my new amp rockss
@@salimsopari Haha daaaang that's disappointing! Did amazon just refund you?
@@MookieFlex ya i got a refund i returned it
I had a chrome soundstream in 1998. That thing pounded three , 12 inch JL Audio's
Thanks agaim B-D you should be getting paid for the advertising these. Picked one up can't beat the dollar for watt price. Thanks agaim👊
I just want to test stuff and show you guys the vids. The rest will come
Nice wasnt expecting a soundstream amp making its rated power.
That's a lot of power for such a tiny amp. I'm impressed. I'm sure that even Dick Rickulus would approve. May even pick 1 up for myself. Yeah boi! 😁👍🔊.
👌😬👍
It would be interesting to see what some of their other amps can do.
Yes, would love to see the 4 channel amp test
This is almost twice as powerful as the Pioneer 9601 which is unbelievable actually. Picking up two
Hi Big D, great looking amp! And it sure made your garage wobble. I would like to see the 4 channel amp. IM OUTTA HEEEEEYUHHHH
Hi Big-D, thank you for all these test. You really expose the false advertising. All the way from South Africa and we love what you do. Wish I could get an amp dyno to expose the crazy ratings on amplifier we have in SA (24000 watts) 😳. Any chance you will test the DD DM2500? Love to see the rating on this amp. Thanks once again and God bless
Not a bad amp for the price! Thanks Big D!
My thoughts too
Love the "Price is Right" sound! takes me back. 🤣
Did you catch that the Dual branded XPR82D (and 84) have been discontinued and replaced with the Jensen branded XDA92RB (and 94) which appears to be the exact same amps just with added Bluetooth controlled RGB lighting?
I bought an XPR84D based on your video and it's great, thank you, though I am only powering a single ~20 year old 200 watt MTX 10" with the 4 ohm voice coils in series and the amp bridged, powered by a stock 25 amp circuit in the vehicle which is the heavyish power wires for the optional 120V power inverter.
I love my Soundstream Ref amps and component speakers
I still have a few and yes they are nice!
This would leave me to hope they're actually going to step up their game a bit. Also thanks for doing the 1khz test. Its good to know. Even though it would seem it should do better @ 40 Hz than at 1 kHz anyway thanks for taking the time bid d. Take care
N def try the 4 channel if you'd be so kind
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yes please test the 4 channel amplificador.
👌😬👍
Not bad love your amp Dyno videos big d wiz keep up the good work bro
Boom diggity! Nice looking & good performance to boot 😎
Heck yea I’m going to watch this tomorrow
I'd be a little worried at how they have the numbers mixed up on the low and high pass crossover. 2:17
It may not hit all of its ratings but looking as nice as it does I would give it a pass. Very cool looking amp.
Nice power in a small package. This amp might be on my to buy list.
I have a Sound Stream PN1.650D that I bought back in 2015 or so and it says made in Korea, it's also still sitting in the box!
😬👍
A Big D. What happened to the tarantula 18000 video
Don’t think I forgot about Dre
@@wal who is dre
Big D ,I asked about the video with the SS tarantula 18000 amp Dyno test. I saw it once but now I can't find it.
Another channel tested that one and he fried it. I'd like to see Big D test it with his rig. 👍
@@tonystarks7677 An Eminem reference
Thats a cool lil amp and a total powerhouse!
Finally a sound stream that does rated power.
That is a great looking amp. How Soundstream used to be.
Beauty for sure
