Peter, if I was your patient, I would certainly go down that rabbit hole with you. I am not looking at longevity per se, but more about healthspan. Both my doctor and myself listen to your podcasts. I have, over several visits, tried to get my doctor to let me self-test. Even brought up that you were taking Rapa - my doctor responded with, ‘yes, but his APO B is 70’. I responded with, ‘so is mine’. Actually, it went down 3 points since that bloodwork results visit. Was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 12 years ago, now age 69. Also have Hashimotos. Both well controlled, but curious how low dose of Rapamycin ‘might’ influence, good or bad, these autoimmune diseases. Good news is, a person can always stop taking it. Thanks for being a voice of reason in everything you discuss, enjoy your podcasts immensely.
There is this doctor in X: Mikhail V. Blagosklonny, MD, PhD. He is an oncologist , he works with rapamycin and has cancer ( I don't remember what kind , but still very interesting). I hope you find what you are searching for.
So what will it take to make it publically available around the world I wonder., No chance of getting it here in Norway as here the state has ownership of everyones health and bodies.
@@manojpadki we don't know and having mtor1 too hypoactive can also be detrimental to health since your body needs to be sometimes in a anabolic state to build muscles, collagen etc.
You can't compair them. Although intermittent fasting could be effective for anti aging benefits because of the glucose level, this medicine does something else.
I have taken 5mg every Monday since June 2021. I’m currently 53, so check back in circa 50 years to see if I’m still here 😃

You said in your book you take Rapamycin cyclically...pls tell me how often you take it...appreciated.
At least he is honest saying he is taking a drug without scientific comprovation because he wants and that it would be irresponsible to prescribe it.
Great episode as always, but I have to say the signature music at the end is very annoying.
Hello from Brazil. We love Senna too 🙏🙏

Does anybody know what headphones is Dr Attia using, this item would be perfect for me.
They look like Shure sound isolating earphones / in-ear monitors
@@dk4366 Oh they are so expensive hahaha, thank you bro, this might just be it.
It's the sennheiser IE 500 pro , in ear monitor headphones used by pro musicians etc
@@yamuiemata God bless you bro.
What about C:15? Few talk about it.
Does Peter Attia have any youtube videos about dairy or vegetable/seed oils???
Bryan Johnson stopped taking it
Sending good vibes from Johns Hopkins ❤
Trust judgment, longterm hasn't come in, yet. The yet is those who taken it, risk takers. Not a doc or lawyer, just thinker consumer!
You sound like "a bunch of noise "
😂 just kidding

fasting does a similar thing without pharmaceutical intervention
It apparently doesn't do anything outside of calorie restriction, but it can be very effective for that. It's why I do it.
@@jeffreyjohnson7359but then again calorie restriction is easy on a right diet
You are not asking the next logical question: Can you do both and get double the benefits?
Don’t stop asking questions!
