Happy New Year Jamie and Crew! For so many years now you've lead the us towards better quality of food, faster preparation, animal welfare, food sourcing, eating seasonal, knowing your famers, cutting down on food waste and exposing us to new tastes from around the world as well as educating a new generation of home cooks and chefs. I look forward to what you will do for us and the cooking world this year!
Made this vegie lasagna dish for Thanksgiving guest who does not eat meat. It was incredible. Great recipe guys. Even the meat eaters gave it two thumbs up. Takes some time to prepare and make, but the effort and time is well worth the result. Thank you posting the recipe and making the video.
Gorgeous place by the sea, and fantastic cooking - it must be a party in the mouth, it looks so delicious with all the veg. and ingredients , yummy, i should try once 💝😋Ty ! great recipe ✌
This is soo delicious Chefie, you put lots of love to prepare this lasagne, cant able to count the list of ingredients used in it, a lasagne recipe for lifetime💥💥💥
I'll have a go at this without the fennel and with like, three types of mushroom, because bless you, there are thousands of places you can't buy some of the ingredients you use. Girolles? No chance. Preserved lemons? Not in Filey lol Still, the great thing about recipes is that you take them and adapt them to your and your family's tastes. Nice one 😊
Will try this. I do something similar but I put the pesto inside use sweet potato instead of squash and leave out the beans cuz I'm a baby. Also I too grow herbs and use all of them. I live in Oregon so we are spoiled with the mushrooms. I would also add green pepper. I used to work at a music venue and fed the talent before they went on and not to brag but sort of when I made lasagna for Hot Tuna they all sat down to play and they had to be pried away from the huge pan that they actually finished. Needless to say I got fired from my volunteer job. Porcinis are gold. Another very cute shoot. Everyone should have a boy or two that cooks ❤
I would not call fungi a vegetable, but I'm already happy that he didn't throw in minced meat. I could bet tho that he didn't pay attention to if the cheese used animal rennet or a replacement
@@StrataG93 Yes but we don't label a mushroom risotto a vegetable risotto, we call it mushroom risotto. It's such a unique specimen that you don't mix it up with other things, you make it the main attraction. What I mean is, it then would be a mushroom lasagna, not a vegetable lasagna
@@jplegend98 to quote the vegetarian society “Parmesan cheese is never vegetarian. Cheeses from a specific location need to follow a consistent recipe to be recognised as having specific names. In the case of Parmigiano-Reggiano, or Parmesan cheese, this means always using animal rennet. Gorgonzola.”
Seems like way too much going on. Multiple mushrooms, multiple cheeses, multiple beans, multiple sauces, at least 6 different kinds of veg in it, individually charred, boiled, fried, roasted and baked. I usually love Jamie's stuff and you can see a clear logic to the recipes; one pot wonders, simple techniques, time saving tools. This just fails on all accounts. What really makes me question this recipe is I have no idea what it tastes like because there are too many ingredients cooked 8 different ways. Can you actually imagine what it tastes like? My last evidence that even Jamie knows this is crap is the massive splodge of pesto at the end (sauce number 3?). If it was a good recipe, it wouldn't be there in my opinion.

Tomatoes are a fruit so who cares what a mushroom is?

I thought Bishop would give us his recipe. The guy has 0 clue
Parmesan’s not vegetarian
It is just not vegan

@@jplegend98 its not vegetarian it has rennet in it which is an enzyme from the stomach of an animal
Well it was vegetarian until you put the parmesan in.
This has NOTHING to do with an actual lasagna...It might taste good, but it's not a lasagna in any way, shape, or form.
Euhm, how so? It’s go layers seperated by lasagna sheets, a tomato ragu and a creamy cheese sauce.
