Balvenie 14 Week of Peat Review: It's SMOKY!

- The Balvenie Week of Peat is #2 in the story series from Balvenie, but is it worth buying? $110 is a lot for a 14 yr. whisky, but this one promises to be unique.

Love the equilibrium between a chill review but lot's of details :)
Thanks!
I was able to try a Balvenie 17 Peated bottling that I thought was absolutely amazing. I thought it offered an incredibly unique experience compared to other Islay or Campbeltown peated whiskeys I’ve tried. The smokiness was almost a funky cheese on it. Interestingly the whiskey definitely did not have added color and was in the 50% abv range. I’d like to try this one but I think you are right about the huge price increase.
I’d love to try the 17. The 14 is great for sure, But I think peated balvenie is more for whisky geeks than general consumers due to the price when Islay malts are often more affordable
Phenomenal dram, have one open in my collection at all times.
Good choice!
Peat Week, one of my all time fav, however, I'm a Islay Scotch fan. Love your content, very professional, keep up the reviews.
It’s a good one, I just would prefer to spend $110 on islay than this one. Thanks, I appreciate it!
A nice dram to start the week. Cheers
It’s a lovely little whisky for sure!
Hey great review. Canada pricing on this is disgusting. If the Canada agent is watching this.....SMARTEN UP!!!!!!!!!!!! It's $250 CAD usually. Never going to buy it at that price. Not when I can buy 3 bottles of Kilkerran 12 for that price.
Thanks! Geez $250 (even Canadian) does sound really steep
I have the Peatweek. Great whisky!
I think so too! I’m happy I finally bought a bottle, not sure why I waited so long
For $80 do you think it’s worth it? I also found the Ardbeg Corryrreckan for the same price.
Yes at $80 this is fantastic
