Dude I’m seeing more and more young “tacticool” dudes getting things like the dissent and the SCR. They have their other rifles, but there’s just something that people find cool about the traditional profile.
I had a SIG P322 and it was a nondependable POS that out of about 500 rounds of mixed rimfire ammo, made it only once through a magazine without choking. The remainder of the attempts to run full magazines resulted in an occasional single round failing to feed through 5 or more failures to feed with the latter number being frequently encountered on a single 20 round magazine. I sent the P322 back to SIG, they replaced some parts, returned the pistol to me and then it made it through 3 magazines before it returned to being a non-dependable POS. I gifted the P322 to a buddy for his kids to shoot. My Taurus TX22s (I have 2 fullsize and 1 comp version) have been nothing but dependable by comparison (the barrels do have chatter marks in the bores). I wouldn't give a boot full of piss for the P322. I wouldn't use the word "solid" to describe the P322.
I was a sig fanboy before it was cool and had the same experience with a gen 2(sig doesn’t acknowledge gen 2) MPX. With mags and other accessories I was 4K into a gun that wouldn’t run a single mag without a malfunction. All kinds of different ammo, back to sig twice, then off to a guy who is the MPX guy. When I got it back from him I could occasionally get a run of 2 magazines before a malfunction. Very unfortunate.
The P322 was a gun I absolutely loved until I started shooting it. It was never reliable. Jammed all the time. Big. Bulky. Felt cheap and clunky. Sold it and don't regret it.
I debated between this and the Taurus TX22. Ended up with the TX22 and it's a fun little gun. It's got a few issues here and there, but I feel like it's nothing out of the ordinary for a 22LR. After doing some reading it seemed like the Sig P322 was less reliable. My main guns are Sigs, so I am not biased.
@@terryjennings2356 Same with the MPX. I ditched it, lost 2k, and have zero regrets. A gun that doesn’t work makes a lousy club. Haven’t bought a sig anything since except a P365 and man that trigger is hot garbage. Can’t believe people rave about how good the trigger is. I’m devolving and I’ve moved back to lever actions and revolvers now so no more sig for me.
Love to see the PDP showing up on another list. Make me feel good since it was my first handgun purchase, even though it’s only the 4” compact. This thing is a tack driver. By far my favorite gun to shoot at the range.
I’m looking at a PSA Sabre as my first AR-15 and you’re the only gun reviewer I trust(I’ve purchased the S&W M&P 5.7 and the Maverick 88 based on your videos), I’d love it if you’d review whatever you think would be the best one of the Sabre options.
Check the Primary Arms house brand, Expo Arms. They use pretty solid parts from good manufacturers for a similar price as the Sabre. They're not advertising it, but they're using Mega/Zev receivers, MicroBest BCG, and Roscoe barrels (a step up from Ballistic advantage IMO.) You can get a builders kit for $280 or a complete rifle for about the same as a Sabre. I would look at them pretty hard, especially considering you can get their combat or patrol series uppers for $350. If youre going with a premium build later on, look for J&P barrel and matched bolt face (they match them for you, saving a step.) They are probably the best in the business, and you'll pay for it, at around $700, and may have a significant wait time, but keep them in mind as you progress on your journey. J&P is top shelf when it comes to barrels. 👌

I think everybody that shoots has a favorite that just fits right, works great etc. I bought a few Caniks in the past and noted your inclusion of the Mete compact here. I recently bought the Canik Mete SFT due to reading so many positive reviews on it. Man, it's a great pistol for the money, I have nary a negative comment about it. Canik includes a lot of extra stuff with it for under 500 bucks. It's a little large for my EDC rotation but it's certainly fun to shoot. Thanks for all the information you provide to us viewers. It's all food for thought to be sure and I appreciate your work to bring it to us.
Literally just bought the bodyguard 2.0 yesterday for a quick everyday pocket carry and put 150 rounds through it that day and it's phenomenal. Even with my Pinky hanging off it feels like a small old card gun.
@honestoutlaw I tried a rental Bodyguard 2.0 hoping it would be something I could get for my wife for CCW and it was the most unreliable gun I have have ever shot. It was a jam-omatic. Anything more than 5 rounds in the mag and it would not run. Now I’m granting that it only had one mag and is a rental gun but I’ve used plenty of rental guns that ran flawlessly.

I absolutely hate Massachusetts. If I get the opportunity to leave I will. It’s the strictest gun law state in the country. It’s an absolute travesty what the government is doing to the citizens. The worst thing about it is the majority of people aren’t seeing what’s happening.
The irony is that it's the birthplace of the American Revolution and yet many of the citizens of MA think the Constitution is "outdated" or "racist" or whatever neo-Marxist buzzword you want to throw out nowadays. It's a real shame. It's my birth state (born in the OG Springfield), but I'm glad my parents moved us to Florida when I was 4.
Me too, Cape Cod. I was at my place in SW Florida last week and grabbed a Glock 43X with 3, 15 round flush mags. Sadly it will now live down there. Massachusetts is the worst.
I became a first time rifle owner in April of this year, 3-4 weeks after the release of the MP15 sport 3 so it was perfect timing and it was brand new off the assembly line. It works great and ran it performed straight out of the box. Aside from a handful of failure to eject that are probably just from the cheap white box winchester ammo, I've had a fun time running rounds through it since then and it performs in every why I wanted it to. I also recently suppressed it with no special upgrades and have not experienced any excessive blowback or malfunctions in the 20 or so shots I've ran through it. It's certainly not hearing safe, kind of makes everything sound fuzzy for a few minutes after one shot with no hearing protection but its not quality of life ruining like it would be shooting unsuppressed.
I was born & raised in the ADK, Syracuse will always be my spiritual home. But I'll never live there again. I've been in Tn. then WNC since '91. Like Neil used to sing, "New York's home but it 'aint mine no more.".

I recently got the bodyguard 2.0. It is the BEST feeling gun in the hand because of that high grip angle and low bore axis. If every pistol I had felt like that, maybe I could be the next outlaw. Anyways, I feel validated on my selection! Great video
I think it's a fair list. Picked up a new Canik MC9L Monday and finally got to put 200 rounds through it today. Indoor range so couldn't rapid fire it but no issues so far. Really like that little gun.
@lee.isaac.richard i think with a different handguard it would look better but it's not bad. 704 tactical did a review today of a pcc that takes glock mags and looks like a scorpion knock off. For the price of the CMMG listed, you can get the MCX-R and upgrade your free P365 to an X macro, and essentially have two off this list for the price of one.
Yep Bro I definitely agree with most of your list, but the 47 state legal AR, that's available in 308, your should have lead with that as its a acceptable sniper round, maybe a little less since that's not a bolt action, but its a better hunting round than the 300 aac unless you plan on shooting suppressed.
Chapters and timestamps with chapter titles in the description are very helpful in a 20 min video of a 10 gun list. I see someone did it for you in the comments, but unless that comment gets pinned, it can be missed and should be done by the channel.
Nice. Didn't expect the prodigy comp to make the list. I feel like the echelon could have been on it as well but it's been on a few lists before so I'm not tore up about it.
PSA ARV owners. A fix for the bit difficult to use bolt release/catch. Take a hollow nut say from a scope mount, use the right size threaded screw (unfortunately I don't know the actual size as I had one perfect thread in my parts bins) use the hollow bolt and threaded screw to attach to the button style release. Make using it 100 times easier and quicker.
I wouldn't ever call an AR-15 a "hunting rifle", but that does look like a great budget rifle. I personally don't trust such a small bullet for anything bigger than 50lbs
I don’t think he meant that you should hunt with 5.56, you would want a different caliber but still an AR platform. I don’t actually agree with him that it would be the best hunting rifle in any caliber but definitely good enough in the right one.
He mentioned putting a different upper on for hunting. There are many calibers that are great for hunting using AR15. 6mm ARC, 300 HAMR, 6.5 Grendel, 350 legend, 450 bushmaster to name a few are all great hunting rounds.
@@Edizzle15 lmao I'm 21, I usually associate ARs with 5.56, which isn't an ethical hunting cartridge. And I'm used to bolt actions, which are several times cheaper than ARs in hunting calibres

Was a Lot more than I planned on spending but I made the mistake of putting it in my hands lmao wow , I bought it. 12rds 3 1/2 lb trigger took some getting used to and it's snappy but I'm at 2500 rounds not a single hiccup and have become pretty accurate with it. Loving it . I definitely feel confident with it .
I have a new S and W sport III, however I just got a brand new Ruger LC carbine in .45 and I freaking love this gun.
I have the LC .45 as well. Those big slow slugs suppress so well. My sub sonic Gammo .22 cal. Swarm 10x Gen3 air rifle is louder.
The LC .45 is my new house gun. Standard velocity 230 gr. JHPs are still sub sonic out of this thing and they hit…hard. Yup, I’m happy with it.
Good luck with yours.
Got my sport III a few weeks ago changed out the grip and stock for magpul furniture before shooting it. Holosun 403b for now. First ar I love it!
I did the exact same thing with mine 👍
How’s it been?! I’ve been looking at sport III or a Zion but can’t find any zions near me and I want to get one soon so idk what I should do
@@BritishBuRritoZZ 100% reliable so far, only 150 rounds through it. And very accurate qith a cheap red dot. Get one or any ar15 before the election just in case!
I love the dissent! Yes im old and like "traditional " style rifles. Ruger should have done this years ago with the mini 14. My wife is really recoil sensitive and I'd love to see a test of how a wood 870 stock and a good break would reduce it. Good stuff Outlaw
Dude I’m seeing more and more young “tacticool” dudes getting things like the dissent and the SCR. They have their other rifles, but there’s just something that people find cool about the traditional profile.
i just upgraded my xmacro to the legion and dont regret it at all. love it !
@davidspain7640 The Ruger SR22 is the best .22 pistol in my opinion.
I love PSA but I’d suggest BCM or Daniel Defense or Sons of Liberty Gun Works over the Sabre but that’s just me
@@blessedone1845what’s your opinion on the sports 3, as far as the internet I see almost all comments lean towards sports 2,
Check the Primary Arms house brand, Expo Arms.
I don’t know if you have ever made a video on your backyard gun range! If you haven’t i would be very interested in how you did it! Just kinda like how you made it and what you did for it! Love this channel and appreciate all the information and reviews you have done! God bless America 🇺🇸 ❤️
The Dissent has a retro-futuristic vibe.
It’s the return of the fightlite SCR
Definitely has that Fallout feel.
I got the SFX for the longer sight line. It's my favorite target 9mm. What a trigger! What a gun! Love the thing.
Thanks guys. Great job. Good info. God bless. Happy trails.
The Mossberg pump shotguns are great. Love the safety location. I have a 590A1. Love it. The sights are good.
I highly suggest buying the stand-off barrel!! Makes it so much sexier and honestly feels like a lighter recoil from the ports in the front
I've had mine for 15 years now, M590A1. Got the woox furniture and I'm in love again. ❤

Being involved in a gun tube channel for so long plus having a range outside the house...

Literally just bought the bodyguard 2.0 yesterday for a quick everyday pocket carry and put 150 rounds through it that day and it's phenomenal. Even with my Pinky hanging off it feels like a small old card gun.
X Macro at #2!!!! Love it 💥💥💥
I got the tacops edition and it’s a joy bringing it to the range
@honestoutlaw I tried a rental Bodyguard 2.0 hoping it would be something I could get for my wife for CCW and it was the most unreliable gun I have have ever shot. It was a jam-omatic. Anything more than 5 rounds in the mag and it would not run. Now I’m granting that it only had one mag and is a rental gun but I’ve used plenty of rental guns that ran flawlessly.
Chris, you should consider doing a video specifically for us 10 round states.

I got 2 Springfields this year.... my first polymer 9mm an XDM Elite Pro OSP and a 308 Saint Victor. 500 rounds through both and only 1 failure to feed on both. Shrink that Bodyguard smaller as .32. It would be cheaper that the Beretta Tomcat. Or make a .32 conversion that has a 12-14 round magazine..
.32 sucks

I absolutely hate Massachusetts. If I get the opportunity to leave I will. It’s the strictest gun law state in the country. It’s an absolute travesty what the government is doing to the citizens. The worst thing about it is the majority of people aren’t seeing what’s happening.
I got out in 1981, also escaped CT and MD! Too many brainwashed dems!
Hawaii has CPLs that aren't valid outside of the county it's issued in. Can't be that bad can it?
My friend, whether the time is right or not, you might seriously, seriously consider getting to a free state ASAP.
We needed this.
Living in NY sucks.

Dutch: do it. Go on, do it!!!!!!! 😅🇺🇸🦅🗽
Glad to see springfield armory made the list.
I just bought a 5" springfield prodigy. I got the normal ds. Had 2 hiccups on tge first mag. I already put 200 rounds through it and its been a pretty solid gun. Thinking about carrying it over my berreta px4. 20rd mag and I'm already as accurate with it as the px4.
"Spend an extra $1000 at the grocery store for a couple of burgers." Summary of the current economy right there!!
The non-comp prodigy is great too. You need some time to rack off the finish in the slide grooves but after that, she’s great
The BR4 is still MA legal with the pin/weld on the muzzle device. Plenty of dealers selling them here.
Respect for the youth shelter mention!! 🫡
Love those Walther triggers. Ever since the PPS I've been a big Walther fan.
The bodyguard 2.0 is my new edc since September. It’s absolutely awesome and accurate. Can’t even tell you’re carrying. Grabagun is selling them for $399
I have the gen 2 American in 300blk. It’s not bad at all. With my huxwrx can on there it’s stupid quiet. Well worth a couple hundred bucks
Same. I can confirm the feeding issues to start, but after cycling some snap caps and 100 rds of super/subs it smooths out. It’s even better with the Magpul stock. And yeah, mouse fart quiet with a Griffin Armament 30SD
@@jrodie7 mine has some issues with magpul pmags. Definitely rough cycling there occasionally but with lancer mags is very smooth. I don’t know if it just needed a break in like you said but I just exclusively use the lancers when I take it out now. I’ll have to try the pmags again
I have only used the 20 round 300 blk Pmags. They are super tight at first
I recently got the bodyguard 2.0. It is the BEST feeling gun in the hand because of that high grip angle and low bore axis. If every pistol I had felt like that, maybe I could be the next outlaw. Anyways, I feel validated on my selection! Great video
Ever since the Bodyguard 2.0 came out my LCP Max knows its days are numbered.
Was thinking the same
I think it's a fair list. Picked up a new Canik MC9L Monday and finally got to put 200 rounds through it today. Indoor range so couldn't rapid fire it but no issues so far. Really like that little gun.
The PSA over the Extar? Never thought I would see that.
Yeah crazy right? I mean, it does look cool…
@lee.isaac.richard i think with a different handguard it would look better but it's not bad. 704 tactical did a review today of a pcc that takes glock mags and looks like a scorpion knock off. It's less than 4 bills. If I didn't already have a PTR and an extar I would consider it for a cheap little range gun.
Or the Foxtrot Mike-9 in 5" barrel.
Starting a go fund me to get the list for “home defense” purposes, cause I got 8 kids and a wife to keep safe 😂. I've got a couple of Canik's including the TP9SFX. These things are stunning for the price. Savage Axis. 243 for the wife, first handloads into .873 and that's for $200 using a cheap Tasco 4x.
2nd on the TP9SFX. Great gun, great trigger. Great price
@@SkidVicious1971Just FYI if you didn't already know, it's (& the TPs) basically a clone of the Walther P99. #1 - a MCX Regulator for $1399 and a free P365
Please do a versus of the PSA AR-V and Extar EP-9.
So you can now get the Sig Regulator now cheaper than the Cmmg and you get a free P365 with it
One of your best brother. Best video I’ve seen from you in a while
I wouldn't ever call an AR-15 a "hunting rifle", but that does look like a great budget rifle.
Platform bubba, platform.
@@Edizzle15 lmao I'm 21, I usually associate ARs with 5.56, which isn't an ethical hunting cartridge. And I'm used to bolt actions, which are several times cheaper than ARs in hunting calibres
Its a "fatass racoon in a big field" gun
Any day honest outlaw uploads a new video is a great day.
