Yes, you can do it but really why would you want to?
It costs more money, and time as the enclosure will require proper machining, and additional cooling, and you can simply mount your VFD 5ft from the CNC chassis when using the proper double shielded cable.

@@corvetteguy50 I’m in a less than ideal spot in the house while an outbuilding / shop gets constructed within the next 6 months. I was thinking of getting an extension ribbon cable to extend the controller / display on the Huanyang as a temporary solution to keep everything in one single enclosure.
I appreciate your feedback and thanks for all the free information you’ve put out in your vids!
In best practice you never want to mount the VFD in the same enclosure with your CNC electronics due to the EMI it produces.
The ribbon cable extension is what I recommend to remote mount the digital interface for your VFD.
