Enemies scale based on time spend in the missions trying your strategy of waiting in the stage leveling up DOESN'T work once you get past the first 2 difficulties and it's infinitely more valuable to get as many resources as possible to attempt to min max your builds
I had the same preconceptions when starting but put my ideas into the extreme spending close to a half an hour grinding a level to get obliterated next stage because the enemies scaled so far
I completely disagree with the video the game functions perfectly fine I do STILL have my own issue with the demo and that it doesn't convey the scaling AT ALL leaving people thinking just blatantly wrong things like this video and I'm not blaming you for being wrong the game isn't conveying critical information that it really should be showing somewhere or even notifying you when the enemies get stronger or how strong they are at the current moment
It is a demo of a very unfinished game not even having a proper death animation yet and only 1 character available. It is massively unfair to compare this to full releases like vampire survivors

@@sniperthatkills7901 this is true, except they added the exploder bugs to the game, so you just kite the massive wave until you cant handle any more bugs, then just run c,ose enough to the hoard to get the exploder bugs to detonate, and boom the whole wave dies. And it will always die because more and more exploders spawn.

I was also surprised about the lack of movement system. Agree that seems like a missed opportunity. It's not obvious to me how to adapt platforms and zip lines to a 2d space- maybe that's why they're not in there?
It seems likely the devs have co-op in mind at some point.

So... you are comparing a demo to vampire survivor that went into early access a year ago. The game isnt even in early access. As for the rest of the video, I say, let's just wait until it is release and I wonder, does the game become harder the longer to stay in the map, making the objective of killing the elite faster an important factor (just like risk of rain)

They took DRG, stripped it off everything that made it godlike, slapped it under the genre which I could only ever describe as the "internet NEET's slot machine" and expect me and other DRG fans to play it.
I've been skeptical of many of GSG's decisions for a very long time at this point and honestly this is just another one of many other nails in the coffin regarding their quality as a company.

Yes the enemies scale the longer you stay in the level it's just not noticable if you are playing the first 2 difficulties haz1 and 2 once you play haz 3 enemies scale hard and spawn in crazy numbers if you kite and even in the earlier difficulties if you do kite you get to a point where you are doing next to no damage but there are so few bugs you can still dodge them

The suggestions range from pointless to demented. But you got the right idea that the game has something wrong with it. You just can't put your finger on it and try to drag in everything you can think of just to make an argument.
But the problem is that the game is already too complex for what it's worth. It tries to be a retarded survivorite, but also wants to be DRG. It either needs to pick a side, or better merge the two.
Making it more complex won't solve it. Multiplayer is a bad joke in these games. It's a bad joke in general. Traversal items do not exist. There's a hook and that's it. You won't build a zipline(which already makes gunner the worst class in DRG and at least here he has some redemption over scout), you won't build no platforms. Driller already has his drilling and he is really the only relatively fun class to play, especially as far as survivorites go. But he's just too unreliable.
Bullet hell is a straight up degenerative idea that comes out of absolutely nowhere. Games where bullet hell works - do not have pickup problems, logistics problems, minerals or goal chasing... and they tend to be a LOT more mobile. Or at least require s dashing. There is no room for that in DRG. There is no lore for that in DRG. Well, alright, there is, there are robots or something, and maybe they will be added, but not every boss needs to have bullet hell just because it's a boss.
Weapon animation is not degenerative - it's demented. You literally have up to FOUR weapons. Would you animate shit for vampire survivors? If you had to choose and use one weapon at a time - yes, it would be nice to make it animated, I'm sure DRG has all the models and animations for it. But it's a survivorite with simultaneous weapons. And remember - this is no Brotato. You don't play it to shoot shit... you play it to ROCK AND STONE. How the hell are you expected to shoot when more than half of your time is spent swinging your pickaxe?
As for magnet, personally - I'd prefer there to be no magnet at all. It's a band-aid for the retarded genre of survivorites. You made 2 random decent points: no xp from enemies and better pickup radius. Just put 2 and 2 together and figure that the problem is XP handling. The game is already about mining and looking for stuff. Killing things should be secondary and be immediately rewarding. There is no need for enemy drops or magnets.
Instead - there can be powerups, health, whatever that can actually be beneficial, even if it makes the game easier - the game is already VERY overtuned. But these things need to be standing out, instead of "shit, my poison just killed a wave there, but I'm running out of time on that secondary, I can't go back just to get XP".
Environmental hazards are there already. And that's what makes next zones downright obnoxious, because on top of EVERYTHING else - you have hazards. God forbid you go there with your overclocks locked...
Missions can't and won't be added, what list are you talking about? This is a retarded survivorite. Not a game. It doesn't have missions. What, are you going to pick up molly parts here? That would make you happy? Maybe escort Doretta and have a 2D point defense nonsense?
Or, heck, do you want to build f*cking pipes?
Actually, come to think of it, the pipes would make sense in this game. Barely. But they won't work, because it's a retarded survivorite that is ALREADY overloaded with spawns that are NONSTOP. So you neither can build pipes, nor protect or repair them in a consistent and enjoyable fashion.
Weapons are fine. Can't do much more with them. That said - they really need something more than a reload as one of their biggest scaling factors... Reload shouldn't be a factor, it's a f*cking survivorite.
Steve wouldn't work. Because it's a f*cking survivorite. You kill dozens of enemies, your steve won't tank for you or distract enemies, because IT'S A DIFFERENT GENRE ENTIRELY. Heck, most above-average players don't even use Steve at all, because you either get an armored one or you have a wasted perk. And while I don't mind the idea of perks... steve wouldn't work. Period. But maybe certain quality of life stuff can be added via perks.
I agree about gold and nitra, to an extent, but I'd prefer to see it the other way. Nitra is the in-mission material for DRG. You never use gold for anything in-mission. Gold should be accumulative to make every run very profitable and actually requiring to dump gold into the minerals. But Nitra instead should be the currency for between-level shops. Gold, however, could be spent on rerolls, indeed.
With all due respect - fиck you too.

@@deobuel7454 Well, let's see... I'm sorry, it was 6 months ago, I may not remember everything.
First of all - I hated the game. I recall that much. Haven't played it since, so my opinion hasn't changed.
Then... well, evidently I formed my opinion about the game and I checked the video to see if it maybe lists similar issues. Instead, I assume(I won't rewatch the video) - it spoke positively about DRG and suggested things I probably saw as pointless.
And, judging by my last line... I suppose the similarly toxic video maker said something about "f*cking" everyone who disagrees or something. So I simply returned the favor.
