I can imagine the neighbors looking out their window sipping coffee, and seeing a grown man with mutton chops in a go kart mobbing down the street. I love it, never stop
Taydrum Haha LOL 😂 YOU WOULD MAKE EVERY UK BRITISH MAN LIKE ME BELLY LAUGH. 😂 I THINK SOME PEOPLE HAVE HEARD OF MORE RIDICULOUS THINGS. And by the way the engine on that go kart kind of sounds like a 4 cylinder that’s got more of a Harley Davidson sound to it
Yep, there goes that crazy S.O.B from down the road again. Do you think he'll ever grow up? Nope! I'm 62 and I still feel like a kid. I may get older but screw growing up! You go Mustie!!!
What he said. Every year for my birthday I would wish for a little red minibike when blowing out my candles and it never came. Now at 50 I’m seriously considering building a track in my back yard and getting a couple for my 16 year old son and I to race.
Muste don't discard that 5 horse Honda take that sucker mounted up on the front and drive the right front wheel with it you know a sprocket on the back of the wheel chain up to a shaft with three pillow blocks in a universal joint in it and you'll have two wheel drive might not get stuck
Mustie, you ROCK dude!! I haven't watched today's upload yet, but I have my coffee and a delicious looking danish pastry standing by. I think I can speak for thousands of your awesome subscribers when I say this: You have singlehandedly made Sunday the best day of the week. In these uncertain and disquieting times we live in, it is so comforting to escape to your UA-cam Garage and listen to your friendly and reassuring tone. Thank you so very much! Okay, now lets commence with some good old fashioned wrenchin’!!
Glad I’m not the only, let’s put this kindly... “older gentleman”, who still enjoys the toys we had as kids! Yes I have a big Baja mini bike I upgraded and early this spring I restored an old Fox go cart with an 18hp Duromax engine! Yep! She rips!!! Keep em’ coming!
I went on apprenticeship block course in my late teens in Rotorua, New Zealand. They had some karts like these on a super shiny concrete track. We happened to have a go on them in the rain and the track was so slick that the only way to drive them was skidding or sideways. Every time it rained we were back there. Great fun and that truly brings back old memories.
not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you are bored like me atm then you can watch all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks xD
Definition of the word later means next in Mustie land. There is something evil, very evil about his laugh when in the cart. But I love it. You can tell when he is having fun and happy. Great machine but not for kids. They have even less control of speed than Mustie does--maybe. Thanks for the video.
My favorite part of every crazy Musty1 project is when he's finally riding the thing he built and giggling like a madman. There's something about puting an adult man on something that goes vroom that brings the little kid out of all of us.
Great video, and was cracking up at Mustie laughing his way down the road on the first drive. Next, put a supercharger on that thing and really put some power down.
Final touch needed here : It looks so much like the famous Jim Hall's Chapparal 2E that you must raise the rear spoiler on struts ! Another crazy, amazing build as usual, Sir Mustie1 !!👍
Man you have all the fun. I knew that thing was going to fly when you put that 16 horsepower in it. If you decide to put a single axle across the back you will really be able to do some drifting. Can't believe how much I just sounded like my son. Great video again, Jimmy
You got that boulevard cruiser stuck in off-roading. Very nice. I remember a neighbor who had a 5.5 hp go cart when we were kids and it was a ton of fun. 16hp? Wow!
You've got balls of steel arcing on that starter like that. Whenever I see sparks like that, the motor usually ends up on the floor and I run halfway across the shop.
I've been watching you for years now and I've just nearly spat out my coffee while watching you drive the green go kart with the engine upgrade for the 1st time......Holy Shit 😂👍. Keep up the awesome content buddy great watching you....all the way from England
Mustie: "It has capacity for electric start but let's take care of that later" *picks up starter motor* Me: Oh hell yeah ! gotta admit I love these longer videos :)
Lemmee take a guess of how getting on that track happened. Mustie: I just rebuilt this cart, what say you let me take in around a few laps to try it out? Track owner: Sorry can’t do that, one word “liability!” Mustie: What Id I let you try it first? Track owner: While on lap 448 as cart starts sputtering “Dude this thing flies, but I think you’re out of gas!!!”
You may have missed the first bit, where Mustie got pulled over while he was tootling down the highway and the friendly cop suggested that Mustie find somewhere more appropriate to test his toy... ;-)
I had almost as much fun watching as you did driving. Hope you put some extra foam on the seat cushion. Ha Ha Many thanks for sharing on a Sunday morning. John
Ok need to it on an electric fuel pump, msd ignition, and a k&n air filter. Then we can puta bunch of stickers on it and call it a hot rod! 😬 Love what you do with all this stuff.
This is classic Mustie1! Great video man. Love the part where you "choose" the sound/muffler. Cracked me up while totally enthused in the process. Have a good one!
32:17 ... giggling like a schoolboy when realizing how much power it now has.... 32:26 "holy sh*t".. now really realizing how much power it has...LOL !
33:33 Some guy doesn't even notice Mustie going through on a cart. That or he has seen Mustie so many times on so many oddball vehicles, he's not surprised.
I'd mount the gas tank in a part of the body that would provide easier access to the fill-cap, that way you wouldn't have to take the body off to fill er up. The guys at Cars & Cameras would be impressed, they do this kind of thing a lot. Love it!
We built one with a 600cc liquid cooled snowmobile engine, HOLY SHIT was my first words when I took it onto our road too!... it would smoke both back tires and topped around 115 which was verified by our local sheriff when he stopped me 🤣🤣
Out on the main road ? You're game ! I'd like to see you explain that to the copper. A police chase would be funny as hell though, and your views would go through the roof.
In a previous video (meter maid trike) a police woman told Mustie1 "whenever I train someone I tell them about you". I would imagine he is well known in the community.
I think a little gas safe plastic bottle with a thin little nozzle would sell great. Make different labels showing the different projects over the years. For example. The Beaver, the scorpion, Crusty. Java. The list is endless. Also, officially sponsored tune up tools. The Must1 Screw driver set.. (Can also be used as a hammer and chisel.) You too can be a Tune up God with these custom made tools. From China. Hell ya. The fuel spritzer alone is a million dollar idea.
Did you run the choke into the cockpit as well? Otherwise, wouldn’t you still have to be out of the seat for cold starts? Just wondering. Or, maybe I missed that part. At any rate, nice job.
V's just have that muscle sound. Love it. Thanks for the process to run the gauntlet to actually get something done with compromises with what you have. keep at it 1Mil may not be so far away.
Dear P.W. 👍👌👏 That's what I thought instantly! It definitely needs air tires! Also because great Mustie1 has a bad back and those full rubber tires are definitely not shock absorbing at all. Best regards, luck and health.

I love your giggles whilst you are driving it, it proves you are never too old to have fun.
When you hear Mustie giggle like a six year old you know it has to be good , thanks for taking us along .

The giggle of joy upon first leaving the garage is the full payoff. What a ride!
I can imagine the neighbors looking out their window sipping coffee, and seeing a grown man with mutton chops in a go kart mobbing down the street. I love it, never stop
I thought he was growing those mutton chops for some civil war reenactment! Reminds me of American Housewife, "Greg!!!"

Mustie1 hardly ever curses on video. Within 4 seconds of wide open throttle “HOLY SHIT!!!” I love it 🤣
I love the sound of your inner child escaping with laughter, another great video thanks for bringing us along for the ride as always.

Just love the giggling as soon as he starts riding!
You rarely hear Mustie cuss, but that power to weight ratio on that one side push was the culprit👏🏻
I certainly appreciate you showing your talent and educating all who wish to learn ! Your shots of the end of scenery shows you give the damn also .
That giggling when you took it for a test ride sound like it was worth it to me...
You didn't start laughing till you cleared the shop. You showed GREAT restraint! I'm proud of you!

Also Mustie: "ok let's get this electric start working first"
:D

Yeah he does that a lot, great antit!
Well technically it was later.
Add to that - ‘not going to pull off this part as I don’t have another one’ , as he’s pulling it off
Define later?
Police Officer: Do you realize you were doing 50 in a 35?
Mustie1: Uh, I didn't know this would go that fast! Awesome!
I like the "fun/no fun" switch.
We spotted that and had to snap a picture.
