Man is created to praise, reverence, and serve God our Lord, and by this means to save his soul. And the other things on the face of the earth are created for man and that they may help him in prosecuting the end for which he is created. From this it follows that man is to use them as much as they help him on to his end, and ought to rid himself of them so far as they hinder him as to it. Thanks Ms Tammy. You did a really wonderful job here and it is very much appreciated by all, which is a lot of people here. Anyway, thanks Tammy for your hard work and may God Almighty bless you in a way that glorifies His Holy Name. Now let us pray 🙏 Tammy
States "I am more warrior than poet" then goes on for an hour with a great and astute dissection of life love and faith, sir you are much a poet if your warrior is more fearsome than the heart I just saw then I surely pitty your enemies
Loved that explanation of being a lion and a lamb. I think men should strive to be gentle not weak. And I think society knew this at some point hence the term "gentlemen". I also think it is important for men to also know what to be at what time. Violent during a war but gentle when growing and leading a family.
I almost spit out my drink when he asked John what the difference between a near and far ambush was. The dry delievery of "proximity" was almost too much 😂
This was one of the best podcast guests you can have and extremely unexpected! This is what every man should aspire to be. A warrior, a scholar, and a family man of some sort of faith.
Hello Chris: I am only part the way through watching this video, however, John has helped me to feel about about myself. When I was living in Tokyo, on afternoon, there was a 6.2 quake, which was much stronger than I was used to. I was living in the top floor of a four storey apartment building. There were different frequency vibrations travelling up and down the building. Sometime, the vibrations would add together and building would give a sickening lurch. There was a very small park just behind my building. I sat on my bed frozen with fear. Since then, I have always felt really stupid about it, up until a few minutes ago. Please pass along my thanks to John. Have a really lovely day.
You felt stupid because there was an earthquake that shook your building and you had a totally rational human fear response? It was smarter to stay in place than try to run down the stairs during an earthquake. You did the rational thing.
Wow I just read 2 words in your comment … well I read the whole comment but the 2 words that finally, simply and perfectly describes something. I was in the 89 6.9 earthquake in SF Bay Area Ina top floor of a building. “Sickening lurch”. That is EXACTLY it.
Remember this so well 93' in Tokyo 6.1 as well, sat still for a bit in my room then ran outside screaming in my nightclothes to see everyone else look at me as if ' no big deal you will get used to it etc' ...
I don’t remember who said it but it’s by far my favorite and most applicable quotes.. ‘ it is far better to be a warrior in a garden, then a gardener in a war’

I love this interview. John here is what I say to people who are the subtle strong leaders. Leaders are always realized but rarely recognized but always remembered. So you may not have the trophies but you have the trust
John is correct when he says we really never know what we can or will do until we face our own mortality . When we face Death and survive , we may still have fears , but it defines what our LIfe really means to us ; and all those that we know . And what we canand will do to protect ourselves , and those we love .
The part about getting cut off in traffic and losing it man that burned like a hot iron to hear but it’s true thanks for saying the things that need to be said and giving us the callout no one else will these days.
Glad I found this on the feed. Subscribed and ready for more. To John, thank you for opening my eyes. I've been facing an uphill battle with the family farm, and whether or not I want to continue working here, and eventually taking ownership. My dad was always gone, pushing to do the work, and neglecting our family. He also placed, and still places, a lot of responsibility on my shoulders. I've resented him for all of it, because I've always felt I missed out on the childhood I saw all my friends got to have. And he hasn't been able to understand that. I fear if I leave again, because we can't rectify this issue, he'll be disappointed in me. And that's caused immense stress in my work and home life. Your words about facing the fear have given me a boost in pushing forward towards finding a proper resolution. Thank you.
God Bless Royal Bleu... Glad u found this Cat John. Awesome dude though. Read ur comments and guess i can almost relate to your Demise with ur Dad. Dont feel lke ur alone, I recommend prayer and patience my friend. Keep at it as best you can. There is always that light the end of the tunnel. My Dad moved on so.e time ago and the memories are still there, always poping up every so often. But even then its less and less every time. Hang in there Brother, have faith. You can and will overcome the situation. God Bless hav faith and stay positive.
Thank you so much for mentioning fear is an ongoing battle. Very encouraging to hear sometimes we perform like a hero and sometimes we perform like a zero. Past success does not determine future victory. No one has ever fully arrived. We must constantly take on our adversary satan.
Apathy is a sure sign of underlying fear. It's definitely something I've detected in myself when I feel like something's off. Thank you both so much for this amazing episode.
Awe, I didn't know of him until now. It's really nice to listen to a vet talk about the struggles of dating and going from one life to the other. It's so hard for me to relate to a man who hasn't been in the military the life is just.... different. I loved this one...
I have to say very sincerely that this is easily one of the top 5 conversation and podcast I've ever listened to. The part on explaining the importance of 2nd amendment was brilliant.
John Lovell’s reality-based and honest insights are his heroism. His take on vulnerability, humility and even the strength of women make him a proper and authentic man. Definitely a good man.
John.... THIS format should be WPS. I know you walk the gun/spiritual fence and maybe firearms opened the door to the other? But as we enter our 3rd year together you and I... THIS is your calling... mate. Just as a side note to your host... this is a prime example of Church of England vs USA Bible churches. This as a half Brit of 8 years and half Yank ... but had to leave. They think they're sold and okay. CoE is kinda a spinoff of catholicism - kinda. Not casting stones but as a USA listener now, I can now clearly see the CoE vs US sides now. THE best interview you've ever given! Bravo 👏
I loved this conversation ❤ this is a real man who understands the depth and balance of what it is to be human 🎉 I would only hope that every man could find his own version of this type of beautiful masculinity and manhood.
Here I am almost sixty years old work my 60 hours a week trying to get ahead. And then You get devastating news about your health. Live every day like at your last.
I've watched a lot of his book circuit interviews and this one is so far my favorite. You have a way of breaking people out of their rehearsed or comfortable talking points and opening up the curtain to their more personal selves. Keep up the good work!
Chris, I have been following you for some time now and absolutely love your videos! This episode is great. And I say this as a female, non military, single mother of 2 awesome grown sons. I think throughout the years I had implemented some of the characteristics that you have shared with your audience, simply knowing their importance. I am a 100% woman that unapologetically resonates with some of this male energy, and have found that to be helpful and even life saving throughout my life. Thank you for all that you do and the guests you share with us. ❤️🙏
We have women who are running circles around many of these so called male species things, do they grow a beard to depict I`m a male? What can they do to depict a man? Right, punch the screen if the team loses.
Most of what John talks about and writes about applies accross the board. The exact application may vary between genders, but the foundation is universal, since it's based on the word of God, which is also universal with variable application...
Feminists want to emasculate men. I guess they think it will empower themselves. But an emasculated man cannot and will not properly protect women from dangerous men or situations.

Hmmm? My comment keeps being removed. I guess the You tube censors have a real problem with too much truth. Sorta like Joseph Goebbels ministry of propaganda made sure truth was gotten rid of. But God is in control not the tyrants on the left. In the end they are the losers!
While i was a cop working the downtown precinct, my beat was the bar district. Always had Rangers around and this was from 06-12 so the GWOT was really hot an md heavy. Got to know a bunch of Rangers from the 1/75 and they were some of the finest human beings I've ever met. A buddy of mine who was nicknamed Mongo was always such a great dude. He bought it on one deployment to the Stan. I walked into a bar for a bar check and saw his bros standing at the bar and welcomed them back, looked around and asked "Where's Mongo? Already shacked up somewhere?" Cracking a joke. When i saw the looks on their faces i just thought "Oh no" and one of the guy's said he bought it. Broke my heart. They said they were about to do a shot in his memory so i told the bartender that this round was on me and to look after these gentlemen. The barkeep gave them their shots and I said "don't forget about me now". The bartender laughed and said "youre on duty brother" i said "I'll take the write up now give me my drink". The bartender poured me a shot, and Mongos brothers toasted him and we drank. When i tossed my money down to cover the round the bartender said "nah bro. Your moneys no good tonight" and those Rangers drank for free. I asked Mongos sergeant to give his family my deepest sympathy. I am not ashamed ti say i had tears in my eyes for a good while after that. Im also not ashamed to say i loved every one of those men like they were my brothers. When i got off duty in the morning i went home and hugged and kissed my kids and tucked them back in. Got in bed, hugged and kissed my wife, laid there and stared up at the ceiling. My wife (who was with me throught two deployments and was now also a cops wife) asked me if i was ok. All i could croak out was "Mongos dead" and i wept for him and all my bros who didnt make it home. God bless my wife, she held me and said "Thank God for men". Mongo i still miss you bro. God bless the Army Rangers and every man and woman who put their asses in harms way so that others may live their lives. Thank You, Father, for putting men like that in the world. All Glory and Honor is Yours Lord for without You there is no Glory and no Honor. Amen.
God bless John Lovell. May You fill that mans life with all of Your worlds beauties. May You bless him and his family with everything they need, including the tough times that forge young men into warriors. Amen.
Appreciate the incredible honesty from John about his combat experiences. That takes a confident guy... most would puff themselves up and never admit to freezing or even hesitating during chaotic combat situations like that....... Kudos. Great interview!
I believe that I was quite vulnerable when I was at my most passive. I used to be very emotionally expressive and feel like I *had* to tell the woman I was with *everything* I was feeling. Relationships to me meant intimacy, meaning I had to let her in on all of my inner experiences and feelings. And I was emotionally needy: I could be hurt easily. You know, that's what "vulnerable" means: that's its etymology. I had to learn that trying to "be myself" that way - not worrying about "trying to be a man," dismissing masculinity as restrictive, trying to forge a new and different way to be a man which would allow me to fully express my sensitivity and so on... I had to learn that by doing that I was not making anything, I was not getting anything done, I was emotionally weak, and I was being a burden. And that's the way it is. I appreciate John's comments about "vulnerability." "Humility" is a good alternative word; I'd also propose "meekness."
@charlesstanford1310 it's a learning process for life. What I know now is that balance is vital, and openly communicating from both sides is the only way it works. Plus, the individual's approach should be one of open honesty and teachability, but not one of passivity or excessive complaint.
Chris Kyle was a huge liar So is Marcus Lutrell John McCain was a huge liar Pat Tillman was killed for becoming skeptical of US foreign policy The fact that you morons can fanboy sociopaths that lost a 20 year war with goatherders is extremely telling and pathetic
The amount of true wisdom that was offered to anyone hearing what John is saying is PRICELESS. God bless John and his family. Absolutely incredible work by both of you ❤
“I would have sooner assured my inability to fail through not being put on the stadium floor, rather than face the potential of defeat” - Wow! Solid truth! This quote is worth the entirety of this amazing podcast/interview … THANK YOU!
Blame it on shorts probably, I just don't have more than a few minutes to give almost any video, but I made time for this one with John over a few different watch sessions. I'm reading the book right now as well. I was 4th ID and know about the sand...life is a glorious battle, but the Lord gives us what we need. Be strong men, be courageous. Push on.
The part when Chris talked about putting yourself out there in the internet really hits me in the feels... I've been putting off uploading my first video just because of this feeling of impostor syndrome, not really feeling adequate for putting myself out there. Just as I started to neglect on working on it, this podcast popped up and helped pull the trigger and finally uploaded my video. Top man Chris and John, keep up the good works! 🔥
If you have a message- put it out there! It's scary as hell, but I think the alternative is worse. If you need help getting started Think Media is a good resource.
Keep going man! I watched your video, good editing and you will improve with every new video you post. You are from Indonesia right? Perhaps try addressing your people with your message in your native language as well.
@@mattmattmatt131313 Thanks man! Really appreciate it. currently working on an independence day special that I'm going to upload on 17th and made sure to address them 👍.
This was a great conversation. I've been following John for a little while now and this might have been one of the best discussions I've seen him have. Great job to you both!
Wow. I’ve had this man pop up in my feed a few times and never gave it a click. I’m thankful to find him here. I particularly appreciated his contrast and preference for humility over vulnerability. I’ll keep thinking on it.
*I love seeing these positive comments in here regarding John! A true humble brother that tries to make this world a better place by making us better Poets and Warriors, LITERALLY!* I just realized that I don’t think I know any other like him.. Guy brings tremendous value to the table..
Speaking about goodness and greatness; in my mind, it seems to me like most people basically stop at 'good enough '. Probably not related to what you're talking about, but it always reminds me that most people don't get past that 'good enough ' part
This is the perfect pairing for an interview. Love your conversation! You all will end up helping so many young men and even some older men who feel lost.
Wow powerful words/ stories/ advice/ healing. I love it! That courageous cowered lives with in all of us. It just depends on the situation. I just went through a brake up with my ex. Except he left me and the kids out here if the forest completely off grid. People say they are amazed at my resilience to survive out here with kids, but inside my own head I know how many panic attacks it took for me to get off my ass and take care of what I needed to just to keep going out here. I was scared the whole time….But that fear drove me. Now I find myself in a new predicament…. Finding a partner that has that same resilience and drive especially when put into a terrifying situation like off grid living with kids during a harsh winter and being the only adult…. I know that doesn’t compare to war but as a single woman from the city that was a phycological war is was not trained for. Anywho, y’all are such beautiful people! I like your style Light workers ✨

You are literally doing the Lords work! Well done!
John Lovell is literally my favorite person. So down to earth and inspiring
Yep. He is literally the best influencer for men on the whole internet. Rock star human being.
And a war criminal
Is it the word "And" or the words "War Criminal" that you have zero comprehension of?
@@WallabieMcDee If you are an American the fought in the Iraq war, you are a war criminal.......and morally bankrupt
@@Scientist_Salarian Never take advice from a war criminal
“Being able to die well means that you lived a life that was worthy of your calling” powerful wisdom right there
States "I am more warrior than poet" then goes on for an hour with a great and astute dissection of life love and faith, sir you are much a poet if your warrior is more fearsome than the heart I just saw then I surely pitty your enemies
Provider, Protector and Priest
An interview with John Lovell demonstrates that Chris is definitely picking up his game. Good job sir.
@@nightmoose Thank you. Have a lovely day.
Wow I just read 2 words in your comment … well I read the whole comment but the 2 words that finally, simply and perfectly describes something. I was in the 89 6.9 earthquake in SF Bay Area Ina top floor of a building. “Sickening lurch”. That is EXACTLY it.
@@bradclark6191 Hello Brad: Thank you. Have a lovely day. Bye, Ian
I think this is your best Podcast, yet!
John Lovell is an awesome, courageous and strong man. A great role-model for men and boys!
Thank you, Chris.
@YouilAushana where's your comment?
He's a war criminal ..... not very Christian
@@bipslone8880 only a war criminal to a terrorist... Making war against your enemies is just as Christian as it is to attempt to forgive.
@@mnmz8393 Not much of a moral system but Christianity is really based on two things.
1) Blind obedience to a Authoritarian figure.
2) Might makes right

I love this interview. John here is what I say to people who are the subtle strong leaders. Leaders are always realized but rarely recognized but always remembered. So you may not have the trophies but you have the trust
John is a great mix between traditional views and not being harmful or insulting to other people's way of life.
Outstanding interview. "Humilty is praise worthy, and pride is before the fall".🔥
Read ur comments and guess i can almost relate to your
Demise with ur Dad. Dont feel lke ur alone,
I recommend prayer and patience my friend.
WPS is an awesome channel. You can’t be humble until you’re actually good at something. John is humble on many fronts.
Chris, you are cruising thru these talks and bringing the best out of your guests. I'm impressed. Keep up the good work and stay humble.
Thank you so much for mentioning fear is an ongoing battle. Very encouraging to hear sometimes we perform like a hero and sometimes we perform like a zero. Past success does not determine future victory. No one has ever fully arrived. We must constantly take on our adversary satan.
Great comment. He's always there to make a fool out of a guy.
This guy is incredible. More of this. This is what our world needs to hear.
Apathy is a sure sign of underlying fear. It's definitely something I've detected in myself when I feel like something's off. Thank you both so much for this amazing episode.
What a conversation… these conversations are needed for the world to hear. I lean into John’s perspective because I share the faith. Great job fellas
What a brave and great man for confessing Christ like this! God bless!
Awe, I didn't know of him until now. It's really nice to listen to a vet talk about the struggles of dating and going from one life to the other. It's so hard for me to relate to a man who hasn't been in the military the life is just.... different. I loved this one...
Thanks for having John on your show. Loved getting to know him a bit better and really enjoyed listening to his perspective on life.
Really awesome seeing you talk to these warriors. Our society deserves and needs their wisdom!
I have to say very sincerely that this is easily one of the top 5 conversation and podcast I've ever listened to.
The part on explaining the importance of 2nd amendment was brilliant.
When you know youre going to die , things get really clear - a calm feeling of liberation washes over you
When you look into deaths eyes - he dont scare you anymore
I get this calm when I’m walking on iron hundreds of feet in the sky. It’s very clear and calming and just allows one to be present
"Passive men are neither warriors nor poets." Absolutely love that.
John Lovell’s reality-based and honest insights are his heroism. His take on vulnerability, humility and even the strength of women make him a proper and authentic man. Definitely a good man.
John Lovell is one of my heroes! Thanks for interviewing him. I think we should all strive to be like John.
Well, ya can`t unless your a VET.

John's intelligence and his ability to articulate and express his insights are truly off the charts! Well done gentleman, excellent interview!
Thanks!
Thank you to all courageous men. Us women need you.

Thanks
John is amazing. A true poet warrior, a virtuous man ⚔️🛡️
Humility is the floor with which you build the walls of self/external honesty and integrity around

Humility instead of Vulnerability (per context) - Great Advice.
"Idk but he is sovereign" chills. I had to stop the video and praise him. That is beautiful.
Amen.
"Deeper reservoirs in his soul" is one of the greatest things I've ever heard
Appreciate the incredible honesty from John about his combat experiences. That takes a confident guy... most would puff themselves up and never admit to freezing or even hesitating during chaotic combat situations like that....... Kudos. Great interview!
This guy's foundation in real truth is very apparent with how he talks about the need for warrior and poet.
Yes I've said it for years. If you think its worth dying for, it's definately worth living for.
Forget the fickle trappings of society and expectations of others, life is very simple, people have complicated everything.
It's a very fine line between relying on your partner for the support you need and placing undue burden on them while shirking your own duties.
@@kyleheins Hell if I know where that fine line is.
@charlesstanford1310 it's a learning process for life. What I know now is that balance is vital, and openly communicating from both sides is the only way it works. Plus, the individual's approach should be one of open honesty and teachability, but not one of passivity or excessive complaint.
I really enjoyed the talk. I sent it to my sons to listen to.
