Ryan Holidays book, “the obstacle is the way” got me through one of the hardest moments in my life. I would listen to it over and over on Audible for days. I recommend it. Hearing the quotes from stoic philosophers makes me feel strong and limitless. And it got me to realize that the secret to making a million is making better investment.

I started out with a financial advisor called *" Rochelle Dungca Schreiber ".* Her honest approach gives me complete ownership and control of my positions, and her rates are incredibly affordable given my ROI. However, do your due diligence before contacting a financial advisor.

Been following WPS for awhile now. Just getting into OrderOfMan. But both of you rock. Recently deleted my Netflix and Prime apps and forcing myself to watch interviews like this that open different avenues of approach. So thank you guys. Also wife is having a boy in July and I bought every single book on raising men on the WPS amazon page great literature so far.

The two primary male examples in my life were my father and my stepdad. My father was great at showing me what not to do as a man, husband, and father. My stepdad was a great example of how to be a real man, but I was too blind and stubborn to learn from him. That stubborn blindness led me to become an abject failure as man, and I've been seeking to change that since the Lord told me to quit playing around. I'm eight years into my walk with the Lord, most of my own kids are grown and gone, so becoming a better man, husband, and father is too late for them, but not for my youngest children. I hope and pray that I can be what they need in the way I wasn't for the others.

I missed who the name of the fantastically bearded man is/was, but I'm going to assume this is your channel. Thank you, genuinely for this. Mr. Lovell has changed my life through a computer screen. It's such an odd thing to attach to a human being you're not physically interacting with, and who knows nothing about you. As long as you apply logic and don't fanboy, I think there's an immense amount of positivity to that. We all can't be surrounded by the people we'd like to be. So, hearing candid conversations like these, really redefine your life in a meaningful way, I believe. Thank you, Order of Man, I can tell from this conversation that we're quite similarly. A nice feeling in this age where truth and logic have seemed to of moved down the list by a very significant amount. Sorry for the wall of text. Thank you both. And thanks to everyone else with the WPS mindset/ethos.

I hear it from several of my online mentors. Choose your hard. If you want to be a skilled protector. Successful at business. Successful at marriage and raising amazing little people. You have to work harder. If you fail at any of these things its hard. to do the hard work is hard. I choose success in all of these facets of life and am committed to the hard work necessary. Work harder brothers.

The first time I ever heard the term Warrior Poet was in regards to the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Thutmose I. He was a warrior (Pharaohs were expected to physically lead in battle) who attacked his enemies first and faster while his enemies were planning to attack him. The poet side were his words in diplomacy and relationships.

Here is my basics to EDC.
You will want minimum 2 knives. I typically carry 4 and I know crazy. One is a key another is for self defense/hunting/camping the other things in a fix blade. On of these knives is my main blade. Finally 1 is for others which will be a grandpa knife traditional slip joint or modern slip joint. Knives are honestly something I use everyday. But I don't work in a knife place. A traditional is easier to be accepted.
Flashlights are very important and probably the most used thing day to day. So for me this has to be the most extremely removed because of the phone flashlight. I totally get the minimalist will say it isn't needed. For me my phone has too many other uses and I don't need to waste my battery with it as a flashlight. For me you have a few options in Olight, Streamlight, SureFire, Fenix and so many others that are awesome. But I want a flashlight cause I use it probably the most of everything in my EDC.
You need a gun everyone if you have a penis you need a gun if you have a vagina you need a gun. If you are a responsible adult you need a gun. I'm sorry if you're not American. But I understand if you lost all your guns due to a boating accident.
If you found a gun after the boating accident then you will need some medical.
Now I carry a backpack that has all my stuff for my day and some stuff for a really bad day.
Sunglasses or hat are very important I know this maybe silly to some. Hear me out cause I live on road I'm blind every morning and later afternoon. Since my drive home involves driving directly into the sun.
Now you have a gun you probably need a holster and gun belt, also that actually works properly.
I don't smoke but carry something to make fire. So you may want a lighter also it can do other things. Sometimes I need to thing burnt so it works.
I wear a watch cause I'm a watch guy. I like staying on a schedule.
I carry my phone in a phone case I know its a crazy concept
If you are like me you may open a beer from time to time and some days I pry on things. So I carry a pocket tool so I can feel important. I didn't fuck my cutting tool up.
I also carry a wallet cause I like my cards and money organized.
I also a key organizer and it may surprise you but I like my keys organized as well.
One cool thing I carry is a writing tool like pen or pencil sometimes both and with the Corona beer virus I like not sharing things as much. To go along with a pen some times I write shit down so I carry a note pad. This helps since I don't like putting tattoos on my palms.
The end of my basics in EDC

At the risk of trolling.... While we run the race to win, and while we may set of things in our lives to counter our fallen nature, all of this is ultimately fruitless. Why? Because these have no power to change our fallen natures, and we will never act contrary to our nature. We first need to be given a new nature, then is change possible. And finally, this transformation occurs through the ordinary means. Romans 1:16, the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. And this salvation, includes our sanctification as well as our justification.

John said or implied something in the beginning about how people who are new to the gun world shouldn't concern themselves so much with equipment and asking questions about equipment, but they should instead concentrate on training. Trainers say that, but I think that is often, probably even more often than not, a misread of their intent, and I find that over-generalizing presumptuousness to be frustrating. While a small minority may be overly curious in accumulating bells and whistles, the vast majority are instead asking only because they want to be educated to know what they are and are not going to need to acquire for a good foundation to start training with, and perhaps to be built upon over time. They don't want to screw up in their choices of basic, beginning equipment. They don't want to throw their money away in buying the wrong equipment, or bad equipment, or too expensive equipment, or whatever.

  • @alexpaulk9364

I don't know if you have said something like this elsewhere but I have to tell people this all the time...
I learned how to protect myself and others in hand to hand as a tool. I carry a one hand opening pocket knife as a tool. I carry a weapon in my waistband every day as a tool. I am quite good with words and de-escalation as a tool. Talking things out in tough situations is a tool just like drawing my weapon and defending myself or others is me enacting a tool to achieve a certain objective. Violence is a powerful tool to possess but you can't let it possess you. It should be your last choice but it should always be a choice in your toolbox. A man with few tools has few applications. 🤟

As far as hunting goes getting up before day light to go sit in freezing weather might be uncomfortable and miserable at first but once you realize how it makes you feel when you find success in getting that meat for your family it’s just like anything else you don’t feel cold and miserable anymore you feel excited to wake up at 4 a.m. and walk 2 miles to your stand and sit there for hours in the freezing cold for day light to come up and feel the sun warming the earth to see that buck come up over the hill top and making an accurate shot to cleaning the buck the same day the total experience is enough that I encourage any man to try and it and make a true effort I promise you will feel rewarded in the end

I was homeless for 6 months when I was 25. And when I was 30 I did 42 days in the wilderness before being sealed as an holy Apostle of the Lion. Sleeping outside in densely populated areas allows a man to receive impartations from the Lord.
My soul shall make its boasts in the Lord, the humble shall hear thereof and be glad.
Without faith it is Impossible to please God.
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
I am rubber and you are glue, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.
I teach those sayings to every young man I can.
Jesus said: unless you humble yourself as a little child, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.

To begin. This is probably my two favorite channels combining and I love it. Now about the food thing and hunting. I shot a deer and made some jerky about a year ago. Brought it to work and shared with a friend, and another guy came over asking for a piece. I told him no and his response was, "come on man I shared my food the other day." To which I responded "going to the store to pick up chips and dragging a deer out of the woods after 4 days tracking it down in 20 degree weather are not the same."

Closest thing I know of is" a virtuous woman" in the bible... not pushing religion or God on you but proverbs 31 is pretty close. My wife kept a copy of it taped to the bathroom mirror for years. She was working toward that and as I read it daily in passing, my respect for her further deepened and nudged me in the direction to be a better man for her. Not sure of your beliefs or ideals but that's what comes to mind. Google ""proverbs 31 woman"

    Are we good or evil?
We have two wolves that live within us. Feed the good one more.

When you understand that you are the dark wolf, and the Spirit of God is the light wolf, feeding the right One becomes far easier. Let Him feed you, change you, grow you, and take you to where He wants you to go. You can only become a better man that way.

Please help. In Alberta, Canada, they are stripping our rights, shutting down Churches, can arrest anyone on site, and are violating Charter rights. We aren't even allowed to protest. All in the name of Covid.
    We need help up here.

The question that was just asked.... What's the solution to where we are today in a sisified world ? Answer or part of it is eliminate " (PROGRESIVISM)" !!! THERE IS NO SAFE SPACE & they both know this. Men NEED to WANT to be men and be told that they're needed AS MEN by women for themselves and their kids. God made US to be US for a reason. Woman aren't meant to be GI Jane. Doesn't mean woman can't serve or be strong for their families, but God IS ultimate authority, He put men under Himself to take care of and protect THE FAMILY He created.... So Let Us and appreciate it. As far as size of a gun to carry, I believe it needs to be small enough to conceal, fit your hand well so you can operate it with precision without thinking about because you won't have time to if it happens for real. AND BIG ENOUGH CALIBURE TO BE EFFECTIVE ! A pee shooter wont stop much

No man is master of everything. The original saying was jack of all trades, master of one.

Cross-training is essential with SOF as John would tell you but I agree no one can be a master of all.

Actually, the original quote is “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”

Faith, family, freedom in that order. It's funny to me when some people look to find answers within their broken self. Without God none of us can ever become half the person we were created to be.

What camera did you use for this long video? I usually use a Canon m50 but it has a 29 minute maximum length for video.

We are created in the image of God. Key word image. We have the ability to become the sons and daughters of God, but satan, who knows how we are made, will distort our image with sin. The Lord, Jesus, can cleanse our sins by his sacrifice. Our greatest gift is our mind, in that we can reason. Other animals of God's creation can not do this or are very limited. The choice we must make is how are we going to use our minds. Are you going to cleanse your mind to make sound rational decisions or are you going to make decisions regardless of ramifications to yourself or others?
