    Awesome video man thanks. I’m very new to fishing, I’m trying to learn stuff especially with walleye. Where I live there good walleye fishing. Sorry if this sounds dumb but jigging is when you let the jig sink to the bottom then start popping it up then let sink back down right? One thing I didn’t quite get watching the video when you showed the hillside about half way up or whatever where the weeds were it looked steep, how do you jig off something that’s really vertical like that? Do you even hit the bottom on that? Sorry if that’s a funny question I’m just trying learn some things.

    Nice fishing, just a tip though, if you are releasing the fish, grabbing the fish in the gills causes infection to set in and kills the fish, would be better to grab around the body, not trying to start an argument I fish for sport and release but I also keep to eat sometimes just a safety thing for releasing, keeping the fish healthy is always the goal. Love watching the videos.

    Hey, great video! Question: I fish a pretty small lake by cottage(13 miles long) I catch some Walleye(pickerel if you ask us Canadians) on my lake but nothing humongous. Maybe 12-20 inches long at the most. Will lake size affect the size of the fish? Also, will using bigger baits result in not catching those smaller 12" fish? Passionate rookie here

    • @havenX76
      @havenX76 2 роки тому

      The thing about bigger baits can be true, but smaller bait can also catch huge fish. Caught a monster pickerel with leftover worm on a small hook final cast. Lake size can effect it as certain size can effect the habitat they live in and the temperature but you can catch large fish in a small lake. Also in some cases bigger bait can either scare off the fish or it’s to big for them to eat. So I suggest a 4 inch soft bait (paddle tail minnow or a senko) when you’re fishing the weeds either do a Texas rig or a wacky rig with an o tube. Goodluck with the fishing!

    Big bait doesn't always mean big fish it depends on the season early spring and early fall if you switch to an 1/16 to an 1/8 jig you normally have better results spring use use a grub that mimics mayfly larvae fall try using a darker color with a flash of silver or green

    I appreciate the tips and enjoyed watching the video. However there is one thing that I just don't understand and it seems like it doesn't matter to most people who post fishing videos on UA-cam. Every single year there are reports of drownings for whatever reason. New anglers and boaters search for and watch your videos. By not wearing a PFD, you are sending the message that flotation devices are a waste of time or waste of money. Like the saying goes, "If you are not a part of the solution, you are part of the problem."

    Those are nice eyes, but not big. You're definitely fishing up north, so those are no way big eyes. And the fact that you didn't show the release meant you kept them, but were too wimpy to show them going in the well cause you don't want people to get butt hurt.
    Nice work on the graph.
