    I think the 350 legend is a great cartridge for people hunting in wooded areas where most shots are under 100-150 yards. A lot of places shots might be 30-60 yards. 350 is great for this and low recoil for younger hunters. That little 20 inch barrel would be handy for the blind or tree blind.

      In ohio we have to use straight walled cartridges. As soon as they released this caliber I had one ordered. I was extremely excited about it and I still am. It’s a fantastic sub 200yd gun. And it might be even good for farther than that! Have taken a few white tails with it and love it. Soft shooting and affordable

    I’ve got a 350 Legend AR I built. It’s one of the most accurate AR’s I’ve ever had. It shoots the best with the same ammo in 150 grain. Haven’t hunted with it yet but plan on it this deer season.

    I farm in west Texas and we have a feral hog problem! I bought a thermal a couple of years ago, but was having trouble deciding what rifle to mount it on. The sight I bought is clearly an AR sight and would be way too tall for a bolt action. I had a regular 556 and thought it would be right for coyotes and a 308 that would be right for hogs. Our ground is rough and rolling. I got to worrying about miss judging where I was in the dark and possibly focusing on the “glowing” critters and shooting a fast bottleneck cartridge over and who knows what would be endangered, so I bought an AR in 350 legend. We’ll see how it does.

      I’m in Lubbock and put together a 350L AR and it shoots great. At 200 yards it’s really dropping fast, so a good choice if you want to limit the range to avoid issues, especially at night.

The Valkyrie chargers won't charge an Odin. Odin needs a higher capacity charger so they reversed the magnets. I found out the hard way...

    I'm a big fan of 350 Legend, I've taken two hogs with one shot each and "dead right there" results.
    People who worship bottle-neck flat-shooting cartridges often dismiss 350 Legend because they only look at one part of ballistics, that's exterior ballistics (ballistic coefficient and bullet drop). They ignore interior ballistics (efficiency) and terminal ballistics.
    Straight case cartridges impart more energy, more quickly, without a long barrel, because the pressure has more bullet surface to push against. Just look at a shotgun slug for delivered energy and consider how small a shotgun load is. And how can a 150-180 grain .357 bullet at 2,000+ fps not be effective? Terminal performance of .350 Legend rocks.
    Yes, it's not for 200+ yards. But I think the advantages for 350 Legend are too many to just dismiss (light recoil, ample energy and terminal performance, low ammo cost.)
    As to the efficiency of the cartridge, it creates little flash or boom in my 16" Ruger American Ranch rifle. The first hog I shot, the outfitter had to ask me and confirm I'd shot one, since he didn't hear the rifle go off from less than a mile away.
    Anyways, hope this helps.

    Flive. Flive is higher than the Flour, but not quite Slix. And that comes out much better if you speak it all, as the written version just doesn't make as much sense. :D

    That’s a nice looking rifle. If you’re going to go for a large straight wall cartridge, why not go for a 45-70?

    • @WHOTEEWHO
      @WHOTEEWHO  3 роки тому

      I do like 4570. Many would prefer less recoil however

    Great looking gun! What do you have invested in the build? Also have you ran any subsonic ammo through it? Curious how the 1 in 16 twist groups with heavier bullets.

    love the gun...i've got one on an AR platform sweet shooter....only problem i've got is most of the jell tests show the bullets not expanding well...not that it wouldn't do the job.have yet to shoot a whitetail with it .ones got to walk close to me somday when i'm carrying it
