I built one exactly for the purpose to hunt with subsonics and suppressed, as land to hunt has gotten scarce and neighborhoods built up led me to this. I love the stealth of my bow hunting and with this I can be close to the same. People today are quick to make calls to complain of shooting and make a fuss. Even though I am on my own private 35 acres. Good stuff WTW...

Here’s a caliber that many hunters are using now with lots of good things being said about it. Stopping power, lower recoil I can see why hunters are liking this straight wall bing bang. 🎥💪🏽💯👍🙏🏻

@@chrisaerts6489 I bought a Savage XP chambered in said round in November of 2019. Probably the best gun purchase I have ever made. Quite a few deer have thus far perished at the business end of it. What a great thing fur us here in southern lower Michigan! :-) My 12 gauge slug gun is probably in permanent hibernation. :-)
6.5grendel is also a great hunting caliber for ar15s @ super short action bolt guns.

Man I wish I could have joined thechat tonight. That can and the subs are a nice combo. My can is also titanium, 7 inches long and only weighs 9 ounces. That makes it hardly even noticeable. Good stuff WhoTee!

Straight walled cases do look cool to my eye, especially when that huge.
It sure as hell hits ALOTTTTTTTT harder than a 22WMR. Not much recoil. Think an elongated .357 Magnum, I’ve seen self load breaking 3,000’ per second. Tough to beat.
350 legend is probably one of the best cartridges ever. I have a Ar 15. I need a shusher can for it lol. I’m in Washington state but I’m moving to Texas so I’ll get one when I get there

If you are considering using subsonic 350 legend for deer this season and you still plan on reloading, you should look into the 355 maker subsonic expanding projectiles.

The subsonic is a longer bullet cause it's 255 gr. Slow it down and you get results like the creedmoor's and the prc's. Long slender bullets will not stabilize in that gun because of the rate of twist, going supersonic. Slow a long bullet down with the twist rate and it is more stable. I don't think you could get enough powder in the case for that to happen anyway. Don't really know how right I am on that but it sounds good.

HOWA rifles... Best bang for your $! I love myne. HOWA 1500 varmint in 223. Best group on hand loads .416" at 200 yards bench rest 5 shot group. Made guys with $10,000 bench rest 6mm ppc look twice on the paper 👍🏼

How many ft lbs are those subsonic carrying Adam
Winchester lists it at 636ft-lbs. I've seen reloads with heavier bullets getting about 750 ft-lbs through an AR pistol with MOA accuracy.

Well now this was a interesting video and it is always interesting to see suppressors on any firearm. How many rounds can you fire through that banished 46 before it needs cleaned?
No idea on the rounds per cleaning 🤷♂️. Haven't seen anything saying it, but imagine a lot
Probably never need cleaned shooting it strictly on a bolt rifle which would take most people a lifetime to get over 10,000 rounds through it to even worry. A 22 LR shoosher on the other hand will need frequent cleaning every 500 or so rounds due to the amount of fouling or you may end up with a baffle strike.

Sweet video, I'm building an 8" ar pistol with a suppressor and going to shoot Makers 280g bullets. Hoping my suppressor gets here before deer season, if not I'll at least be hunting subsonic anyways out of the pistol! Looking forward to the hunt video!

Good answer and frankly when I was making videos for my UA-cam channel I had a great time. I really don't show up to the range without a camera hoping I might catch that little bit of footage that will make me a internet Superstar. Right now I just hope enough people head over to TheCheapShot and subscribe after watching your video of course just to support another gun too for trying to make it. I can't make videos like I want to cuz I'm working too much but as soon as I get laid off again at the end of this project I'm going to take whatever three or four weeks I have between construction jobs and I'm going to shoot years worth of footage

Always thought an AR-15, with an 10.5 inch barrel and suppressor, chambered in 350 Legend would make an excellent home defense tool with subsonic ammo. Not sure why we don't see that type of configuration often.
Better yet would be the 458 socom or the 50 beowulf in the AR platform. Only issue is lack of ammo capacity in the large caliber.
@@watermann8200 Agree... 350 Legend has targeted the hunting market, but at least 20 round magazines are readily available. I would think 350 Legend subsonic could slightly outperform 300BLK whilst using the same 223 Rem bolt. Also, the 458 SOCOM/50Beowulf might be a bit too powerful for home defense, even with subsonic ammo. Not to mention the increased cost of the large caliber cartridges.
I have two Rattlers in 300 for defense. One is a Canebrake for shhhh and a standard Rattler 300 for super sonic rounds and compact bag use etc. I have a 350 16 inch AR tho for "Long range" shh and super use. 300 can reach only so far effectively. I'm curious to see what AR10 type setups come out later for use with 8.6 blackout also. It would be awesome if SIG made a Spear chambered in that in a shorty setup! That would be a freight train of pain!

Great video. Wish you would’ve shot 4 rounds with the super sonics. I don’t think measuring the cold bore shot in the grouping is a completely fair comparison. But I’m excited to use the sub sonics this fall.

I have been looking at a .350 legend but I’m waiting on my Rugged Obsidian to get out of NFA jail (10 months so far) before I commit. The Howa is one I’m considering along with the CVA Cascade and the Franchi Momentum. Thanks for the video.

Hi, what thread does your BANISH 46 have. The Ruger has 1/2"-28 x 0.4" thread, but Silence Central has a 1/2 - 28 to 5/8 - 24 adaptor.
Is the 5/8 - 24 thread more common on rifles? Have you noticed any issues with the short thread length on the Ruger?
The 46 allows you to swap the threads to any thread pattern. You just use whatever adapter matches your gun

I’d like to see a comparison of power from subsonic to super. The water jug testing would tell a lot. I’d worry the performance would suffer too much subsonic to ethically take deer. I just don’t think you will get much expansion. I have taken deer with subsonic 45/70 using 520gr soft lead bullet going around 1050fps. Double lung shot he ran about 30 yds before dropping.

@@WHOTEEWHO So is a sub sonic head shot on some venison, with those groups it should be easy enough if in close range under 100.
@@watermann8200 True that a head shot would be effective with about any cartridge. I personally don’t take head shots. In field conditions it’s just to easy to wound the deer. Off by only a little can cause a wound where the animal is not recovered and dies a miserable death.

What were the twist rates on these barrels?
I have subscribed and watched your videos for about 3 years. This one is most most important as that subsonic did not group well for us out of HENRY SS or BC UPPER. around 2.0 + at 100. Question what is the twist of that Howa barreled action from Brownells? In development of 357 Maximum ( Elgin Gates had no part in design, Hell I was there) we found 1/14 twist to work the best with the 180/200 grain bullets. MGM barrel makes have tested up to 1/20 twist with SUCESS with .357 Maximum. So what was the twist brother in you Howa with Boyd Stock ( any extra care in bedding?) Appreciate your dedication to truth. Hint going to range ( more discipline on check list) I had a 16 year old neighbor girl who was a detailed fanatic as my girl FRIDAY always had needed plus.
Carry secret stash of batteries in truck or pouch in gun case. Later brother. PS bought every configuration of .350 legend , BEARCREEK AR, 3 RUGERS, 3 Henry SS, BFR IN 10 1/2, waiting for lever gun. All rifles shot less than 1 MOA. With Winchester 180 Deer, HORNADY 170 , HORNADY 165 BT. MY TAKE ON POI ON DEER IS THE HIGH SHOLDER OR REAR BASE OF EAR. ALL DOWN FOR 65 years at impact, no runners or blood trail. Expansion down list from POINT OF IMPACT. NOT OPINION. RECORDED OUTCOME NEVER LOST FROM RUNNERS. THERE WERE NON. MOVEMENT AS FIRED SHOT ( depending distance) spine impact every occasion in my experience. No runner.

I found the Howa action listed with only one review that was mediocre and the twist rate listed was 16. Great barrel and your install in stock I believe had serious bearing on outcome. Still looking for Howa ,
