I have zero issues with the speed of the Tensor chips but would love the G5 to be more efficient for battery life and, in the same vein, temperature control. 🔥
I'm so impressed with my Pixel 9 that I will definitely upgrade next year if this all turns out to be true. I've never been so impressed with an Android device as I am with the Pixel 9. I use it as my work phone alongside a 13 Mini as my personal phone and it's the best combo I've ever had. I'm excited to see how the Pixel 10 turns out.
@@TheLastEl1te I get an allowance for a new device each year through work so I take advantage of it. My personal phone I usually keep for 3-5 years. So, I have my fun trying out new stuff with the work phone instead.
Been using the 9 Pro and Pro Fold for the last few weeks. Really liking them both and found the 9 Pro has become a very nice daily use device. However, I have noticed that the processor could use some help. Seeing the new SD4, I wonder if Google is headed in the right direction.
I hope that this finally means Google will offer it's own version of LOG video recording like the iPhone. If Google really wants to take video seriously, give us a 10-bit LOG recording format and stop depending solely on Video Boost. They own UA-cam. The ought to be leaders in this category.
I was pretty close to ordering a pixel 9 pro xl. I think the switch to tsmc in g5 will give the phone a good boost and make it a more competitive chip with Qualcomm and apple offerings.
To use the word "leap" is stretching it a bit far. I would rather say a "one step". Bencmark says something about the benchmark but little about how you experience a phone. The Pixel 9 is perceived as fast enough and has AI - unlike the iPhone. The Pixel also has more RAM than the iPhone, which is also important. It will be exciting to see when Apple AI is launched and how it is experienced in relation to the Pixel 9.
The reason why u don't wanna hold off on the 9 is that Google gives you like 700$ for a previous year trade in, and I can GUARENTEE the 10 will go up 100$ so I'll wanna get the cheaper one while u can to upgrade
Excellent video, even though it has made me more confused. I used to use Samsung Note phone for many years but switched over to the Pixel 6 Pro when Samsung dumped the Note series. I have upgraded to the 7 Pro and 8 Pro but was considering going with the Samsung S25 Ultra when it is released in January. Now I am wondering if I should wait for the Pixel 10 series!
This makes me very inclined to upgrade the 9 pro XL as soon as this drops or maybe move into a fold . The reason I've always kept apple products around is the effortless cohesiveness. Samsung has it a little bit with their products ,but Google with the latest updates are finally getting it down in my opinion . Like this is the first year I've had a Pixel watch, phone, buds, Chromebook, and pixel tablet docked with my home devices , and reliable pairing is working well , notifications are getting fixed up to that seamless experience I've had with apple . Still a little off but close . Now add in better chip performance and they can take my money
Makes no difference to me, I've just got the Pixel9, its crazy fast, super fluid, with top battery life and only gets very slightly warm (compared with the with Pixel7).
There are a lot of chance, i buy a Pixel 9 Pro in 2025. If Google give me a powerful efficient Tensor G5, keep the same design but with mate flat side, i could buy one. Google need to improve video shooting too.
I was going to get the the 9 i jabe the 6 at the minute but then i thought .... 10 is always a big deal sooo should i wait i came on here and a few other people wer kinda saying the same that the 10 is going to be a big deal... So im waiting for the 10 and il definitely upgrade to that one
@brucelin5842 I edited a video yesterday lol. When I showed a comparison between the Pixel and the Z Fold I showed the the Z Fold exported video a bit faster, but that was about it. That remains my experience. Everyone is going to have their own experience though, hope you find a device that works better for you.

Same, but people will be drooling over the new Snapdragon coming in s25s..

Yes, why don't they?!
Indeed. This is _exactly_ why I decided to keep my Pixel 8-waiting for the TSMC-powered Pixel 10.
Motherfucker that was launched a year earlier you don't upgrade phone after uear

Stayed with the OG Pixel Fold as it works for me, but very drawn to the prospect of next year's Fold....
I really hope so .not to say the Tensor G4 is bad it's not but I think if this is true it would be quite significant

If you want to game, then definitely get the S25 Ultra. It's gonna seriously be insane.
me what destabilizes is the fact that Google no longer says anything about a new generation of pixelbook especially under powerful arm
Copying Apple for the G5 is a good move

The tensor g5 is like a tensor g4 plus variant because the primary core still remains the same
I think it'll be a little better than that.

Sorry for bringing up Duo again, but will you test the Android 15 GSI?

Unfortunately the chip does lag, I have been using it for a month now , when taking pictures and especially when editing videos it lags like hell!!!!
This is not something I've seen

I've returned mine due to lag issues. It's just not powerful enough. Hopefully the Pixel 10 Pro will resolve some of these issues.
