The drum track output within a program is defaulted to midi channel 10. You can change this in global mode. The other sound defaults to the global midi output channel. So for some reason the bottom 8 pads on your padkontrol is defaulting to midi channel 10 and the top 8 are defaulting to the global midi channel.
Jasmine did you notice that the editor didn't respond to the pads on the lower half of the pad kontrol....(didn't matter if the program was a drum program or melodic).
you know why the padkontrol splits the pads (8 on one midi channel & 8 on the other)? why does it do that? And is it possible to assign chords to those pads just like you would on the on screen pads of the Kronos?
Thanks for sharing this!

I not sure why the pad kontrol splits them but on the Kronos /m3 the drum track within a program os

It's like the bottom 8 are on a different midi channel by default....
But why would it?? You need to program the padKontrol. The editor doesn't work with the padKontrol at all.
I actually know why it does it - I just said that because!
