Party of 6: Oak Mtn & Head Over Teal 10k

Join us for a weekend of family fun!
We got into Oak Mountain State Park on Friday night. Fortunately, we had great traffic and our NexPow rooftop carrier help us fit our extra stroller this time for the run.
We got in and Funpa met us for a little fun. as we got set up and get ready to have a fire, we had some neighbors ask for help finding their little girl. It was a scary couple of hours while everybody searched for 10-year-old girl in the dark and rain, but we found her, thank God.
We got to sleep and woke up early the next day to some nice cool weather and headed to our race. Christian ran his best 5K, 33 minutes. We ran a 10k as a family thank God to the baby trend expedition, jogger stroller double. They were a couple of hundred people at the vent and some great sponsors. It was a little misty , but it was nice and cool and overcast. Then we went and picked up Nonna for some celebration pizza at Vecchia. It was delicious.
After we took Nonna home, we headed back to the campsite and enjoyed the fire, the river and some banana s’more’s, Yum 😋. After a little bit of rest and relaxation, we headed over to Nonna Donna’s to hang out with some family and friends for the Alabama Georgia game, and then finally after a long day, headed back to our tent and snuggled in for a nice cool night of sleep.
Sunday morning we woke up refreshed and energized. We packed up and headed to Peavine Falls before we headed home. It was a great hike and a great way to get some energy out and stretched the legs before a 4 Hour drive.
It was a beautiful weekend and we had a blast. Can’t wait for the next adventure. Are you ready to join us?
