Join us for an adventurous weekend at Pine Mountain. We camped at FD Roosevelt State Park. It was beautiful, we are right on the lake. This was probably the quietest park we’ve been at over the last three weeks.
Got in before the sun this time got everything set up as the sun was going down and had enough time for a fire.
Woke up Saturday morning enjoyed a good breakfast and talk to our neighbor for a while. One of the our favorite parts about camping, hiking and doing different events as you always meet amazing people.
We headed to Wolf den trail, which was a 7 mile trail. This was by far the longest we’ve gone to the family. There was a lot of up-and-down elevation. It was a beautiful trail with tons of waterfalls and a few of our own falls along the way, lol.
There was a waterfall in that was beautiful and we were able to take a quick dip. That’s what most people were hiking to, but after we took a rest break, we hit the trails to finish out the last 5 miles.
It was hard and we are so proud of our kids because they all push through like champions. Cristian and Cayden and Carter the majority of it.
After a long day at the trail, we ended it with some awesome people that cracked walnuts with our boys and then we headed back to Camp to shower up and enjoy some live music at sunset.
We got the fire going again and had some bananas s’mores, Yum and then called it a night.
Then Sunday, It was time to pack up and head home. We had a great weekend and can’t wait for the next adventure… See you there!
