Anyone that gives us all help is a blessing. I have been trying to learn without cross fader myself but I know it will definitely help me do much better. I've made my own blends. Had a couple of parties.definetly need more work and it's so amazing the things you learn
This is such a great tutorial. I would love if you made some Q and A practice sessions too. Especially for this tutorial. When you were showing your freestyles, I would love 4 bars of the instrumental to try and answer back. 🙏
Dope idea man. Will definitely plan to do one of those sooner than later. I've seen a few other videos that incorporate call and response method and they were dope. Appreciate the idea! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Same here dude. I told my self 3 years ago I'm going to pratice once a day every day even if it is only for 10 mins. Good habits. But I missed the fundamentals early on. I went Straight into 1 click and 2 click flares. I wanted to sound cool. But having to go back to learning fundamentals now lol. The hardest thing to learn is changing ruthums and joining at the technics together
Is it hard to keep the coordination with the crossfader and scratching for instance can I train my hands to pull on the jog wheel and the fader at different speeds…if I’m making sense here lol
Those custom Serato control vinyls are dope where U get them from didn't have coin to get fader and new turntable n mpc and rest of it after my house got emptyed n lost my whole studio when I went in so am loving your tecniques coz could only afford a turntable with no fader so far
@@DJLiftOFF you the man hands down. I've always had trouble with using the cross fader scratching until u broke it down for me so thank you fam! I needed that.
Thank you bro 🙏🏾 appreciate the continued support! And most definitely man, a lot of times, the simple stuff sounds super dope when it’s done really well/cleanly.
What controller are you using? Are you not able to change it in the software? Certain scratches won’t be possible without the correct crossfader setting
i notice you're starting the scratch ahead of the start of the sample. I'm noticing that it makes it sound cleaner. Is that intentional/do you recommend that vs starting in the middle of the sample?
Awesome attention to detail 💯 - it depends on the sound and the type of scratch really. I think it’s best to go back to the beginning of the track to give you the most sample to work with!
I definitely hear you. I think certain DDJs are better for scratching than others, such as the DDJ Rev1. But tips wise, it’s really just about getting the feel down and staying consistent. Controllers are a little more sensitive, so figuring that out for your controller is key, then building from there.
Lmao.. im following the tutorial all happy with my self like yeah hand control lets go... then you do the 3 click thing, and im like ok ill try it.. and wow i just wanted to chop my useless uncoordinated hands off lmao ... like hell nah i ain't got that one in the locker 😄
@@DJLiftOFF I believe so that sound from like those u t f o records I see everyone use it dj babu or etc - but you definitely got a sub ! I went thru your library and I’m gonna use these to sharpen my skill on my traktor as well - bless up brother

How do you make the fader instantly switch to the other deck with little movement?
Are you referring to the crossfader?
Great lesson my man. The best cooking is the simplest....seems similar here....

I want to get this serato dj pro
Hey man! My crossfader doesn't have a curve or contour option. So I can't adjust the speed of the fader. Can I still scratch?
What controller are you using? Are you not able to change it in the software? Certain scratches won’t be possible without the correct crossfader setting
Can you share the settings for serato and ddj sx 3 controller
No doubt --- here's a video on my serato settings. Let me know if this helps! ua-cam.com/video/GRKOL1QJDRE/v-deo.html

For some reason I feel that my rane 12 platter isn't smooth as the ones I've been seeing.
Try a butterrugs slipmat or wax paper cut to fit under a standard slipmat. A slipmat without graphics might be smoother too.
Hope that helps
@@nomoraldj7993 thank you so much.
Where did you get the serato scratch track
Can’t remember where I originally got it from 🤔
