  • DJ LiftOFF teaches you a few of the fundamental movements that lead to the ability to creatively scratch. These techniques do not require using the crossfader, however, the crossfader will ultimately be added in your scratching journey. MOST importantly, learn the hand movements which will increase your ability to CONTROL your scratches.

The hardest thing to learn is changing ruthums and joining at the technics together

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  Рік тому

      Awesome attention to detail 💯 - it depends on the sound and the type of scratch really. I think it’s best to go back to the beginning of the track to give you the most sample to work with!

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  Рік тому

      I definitely hear you. I think certain DDJs are better for scratching than others, such as the DDJ Rev1. But tips wise, it’s really just about getting the feel down and staying consistent. Controllers are a little more sensitive, so figuring that out for your controller is key, then building from there.
