I got to do security for a concert where 2Cellos was the opening act. I remember thinking, who the heck are these guys. But to this day, I remember them and not the act they opened for. Insane, truly insane talent
2 cellos have done many covers of rock songs - Whole Lotta Love, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Sweet Child of Mine, With or Without You, Welcome to the Jungle to name some covers they've done.
Donna, Lulu, you are both beautiful ladies and if I had to choose between which one of you were the prettiest, I would not be able to make a decision. That being said, this reaction belongs to Donna. No words were even needed to be spoken; her face said it all. Great reaction!
These guys have completely filpped the script. The costumes of musicians and audience were a fantastic idea. I've always liked the cello such a rich sounding instrument. When you look at bands like ELO, Pink Floyd, Evanescence, Nightwitch their stage performances resemble a orchestral performance. Lulu "I'm disappointed I expected at least one comment about the costumes and hair."😂 Talking about the cello a couple of weeks ago I was in Manchester UK there are a lot of bars that have live music and also street performers. I saw one guy playing an electro accoustic guitar with a cello bow sitting on a 40w amp the guitar was plugged into. He had quite a crowd of onlookers and produced an AWESOME sound. Enjoyed this reaction 😊
You can't look at the cello the same way ever again after these two, & Hauser [left] is mostly on his own now, but he's terrific! He did a duet with Dimash a few months ago. Hauser is also a lot of fun.
The three greatest cellos ever were the one that played the daunting & crecendoing shark's attack musical sounds in "Jaws" 🦈, and then these two "Striking AC⚡DC's Thunder"! 🎵🌧️🤘
"Smells like Teen Spirit" from the Sydney Opera house is great. Plus their version of "Highway To Hell" with Steve Vai done in the music store is exceptional to.
Donna, what you're missing in this reaction is being familiar with AC DC's antics wherein the lead guitar player, Angus Young, shakes his head a lot, points up at about a 60-degree angle to the back of the auditorium and lies on the ground while going crazy on guitar kicking his legs to make his body spin in a circle & they mimic & make fun of those AC DC antics you're unaware of because you haven't watched enough videos of AC DC's concerts to know it. Also, the make-believe 18th-century audience that's never heard rock music is in shock and disapproves, which is part of the humor you also missed. Also, my father was a full-time professional violinist for 60 years. He told me when the performers wanted the strings on their bows to break for dramatic effect, they'd have them strung with strings that would break easily to achieve that effect, which in this case was deliberate to add to the comic effect. This was a comedy performance, not just a musical one.
Someday you need to watch the Steve -N- Seagulls version of Thunderstruck too. EDIT: I see that you did react to it a couple of months ago. At least Kathy and Donna did.
@@KathyLuluandDonna Ok .. ummm .. East Texas? Back in the day there were a lot of horse thieves from Arkansas that emigrated to Texas .. swimming that horse over the Red River !
Yamaha cellos . . . Note the kids in the audience all excited and the adults disgusted lol If i knew i was ALLOWED to pay like this i may of continued playing but at school ya only get classical . . So i gave it away . . Till next time . Take care . Bye from NZ 💐💐🍷👍🇳🇿twa
Love how lulu tried so hard to keep a straight face and Donna couldn't help but smile. I needed this before a long day
The band AC/DC did a great cover of this.

Nice reaction, ladies. Good job.
Thank you!! 😁
I know of a guy who does a weekly internet radio show where I saw this, so I went into it completely blind with no idea what it was going to be.
Our Finnish friends also covered this song. The band is Stephen Seagull. They use an anvil & a banjo & spoons with a standing bass & accordion.
👍👍Awesomely awesome performance. 🖖❤
What I love is the subtle nod to Michael J Fox and the Jonny b goode scene in Back to the Future scene

The group Steve'n'Seagulls does a unique cover of this song also. Great reaction!
Immediate LIKE. This will be fun to watch!
Thank you LuLu for knowing that the bow strings are made from horsehair and enjowed your interest in watching this so close.

The cello is one badass instrument, just look at Apocalyptica 🔥🤘
You need to see live concerts. Much better than studio versions.
Great video. Love that accent. NC?
Hello from Texas
They also do "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin
You'll be Thunderstruck when you react to the '73 live version of Hocus Pocus by Focus! 🙂
AC/DC song, who would have expected that!
Someday you need to watch the Steve -N- Seagulls version of Thunderstruck too.

From Lulu’s comments she knows a little something about the cello. Lulu, do you play any instrument? If not, what instrument would you like to learn?
