    Had the sears craftsman 20v impact during the start of my apprenticeship, got me through for a few months taking off panels, hanging pipe, could not get through any type of curb or structural steel, upgraded to a more compact 12v dewalt, since I was moving more towards residential service (hvac). Does exactly what I need it to
    This is definitely a good review to help apprentices and homeowners buy a starting drill that will make them money

    Just an FYI, the hammer and anvil’s moment of engagement has nothing to do with the power of the motor. It’s actually dependent on the preload spring behind the hammer. They actuate when the spring tension is overcome, regardless of motor power. They all use different preload springs because an impact is a timed tool. The mechanism timing has to be within a certain threshold in order to actually use the mechanical advantage provided by the hammer and anvil.

    When we bought a home I needed some power tools for around the house.I needed a Brad nailer for the baseboard and crown we installed, I was going to just get Ryobi since it was cheap and proven but I'm just not a huge fan of it. I started browsing around and came across craftsman at Lowes. They had a brad nailer for $99 but just bare tool. The batteries were not on sale at the time, I think it was $80 for 1 battery and charger, but they had the brushed impact and drill + 2 batteries and a charger + bag for $99 so I got the drill, impact, and Brad nailer. I actually really liked em after using them around the house. I liked them alot. I had a ridgid brushed impact and drill I used at work and I liked em but didn't love them. I actually liked the Craftsman more than the Ridgid. I liked my craftsman stuff at home so much that I retired my ridgid stuff and bought the Craftsman Brushless impact and drill for work. I gotta say I love my craftsman brushless stuff. It works for me and what I do and I haven't really had any issues with them other than the brad nailer started failing to fire alot. I hit up customer service and they sent me a brand new one, I didn't even ask for it, I just asked how I could fix it. So it's definitly important to register your tools and get the warranty going. But if you are a DIY'er or doing like residential multihousing maintenance or the like and don't want to blow out the budget on the yellow or red, I recommend the Craftsman line. Oh, I also found out that craftsmans new line is just Dewalt stuff but Chinese made and cheaper.

    Old Craftsman fan whose first cordless tool were the old 19.2 v made by Ryobi. I have Ryobi now. Was excited about the new Craftsman being resurrected by Stanley Black and Decker. American owned. Sadly I find the new Craftsman red tools to be generic in looks with a cheapness to the. Like I have room to talk owning Ryobi. The Ryobi seems superior to me. I really wanted craftsman to be of a higher grade on par with Dewalt. If I had nothing I’d probably go with Dewalt. The Flex tools look great. That is something to look at if they happen to fly. Looking to upgrade Ryobi HD kept me on board. They finally have nice ergonomics that the others now have , leaving Kobalt with the chunky look.

    Would use them for skrews and small bolts for bigger bolts and longer ones use an impact wrench with a good amount of torque like 300ft pounds which should the max or if someone is a mechanic get a stronger one for whatever job is needed for. I have a small business glass/window and we use some Dewalt and mainly moved mainly to Ryobi tools. I like Milwaukee and Makita but to me and for what I do, I can just get more tools and batteries for the same price. And it gets the job done the same. And secondly when I have to replace tools if easier on the wallet. However recently I have my truck broken into and all my power tools were stolen (fu@king sucks). Now I have to replace my tools and looking at other options. I like that Craftsman are equaling not better than Ryobi, Ridgid and kobalt. For me I really like to support products and companies that are Made in America and I plan to replace my tools with Craftsman. I also like being in job and not worrying about loosing/mixing up my tools with all the other Dewalts/Milwaukee tools. Lastly I had this Ryobi impact and it was great super powerful and durable a little heavy, but it was stolen unfortunately.

      @@ManCaverTools Yes Sir, I noticed that. But, I really like the way you test things. You don't abuse the tool, you operate to limit of the tools intended purposes, while illustrating their proper operational limits. If you're on a latter, and didn't bring a heavier tool with you, you've illustrated how to get job started at least. Then can come down, or holler for help.

    Its all your fault. If u use the same accessory for both with out resting the heat. This will always happen. U should put each tool tbere own accessory. So the accessory could take a break just like the tools get there break😁😁😁

    It drives me insane that people
    Use impact drivers for bolts and such for the love of god impact drivers are only made for screws and such bolts are for impacts that’s why impact drivers get torn up cause people use them for tightening stuff

      it makes a good stress test for videos to see how reliable a tool is really quick. by doing these tests we can see if they are able to handle it. and a lot of them can

    • @FyrFytr998
      @FyrFytr998 2 роки тому

      You do realize that most 20v advertised tools are actually 18v themselves? Ryobi advertises actual voltage versus everyone else advertising MAX voltage. It's all smoke and mirrors. Now the 24V you have a point, but even then, there are some 18/20v models that beat them.
