    13:00 if you review you might want to try to use the same types of blades in each product. Craftsman looks like it's brand new blade vs worn Ryobi.
    Not trying to say the Ryobi wasn't a dud.

      That spyder blade is only about 3 months old. But I hear you. I just have to start budgeting for my videos so I make do. And honestly I could have just reviewed the craftsman but thought having the Ryobi there was a good comparison for where the tools fall in category pretty much right next to each other. But I dig the craftsman ALOT. Might take over day Ryobi collection. Probably not but you never know 😂. Thank you for the suggestion though. I truly do appreciate it and will take it into consideration in future videos

      I'm looking at getting some cordless craftsman tools. Really impressed with the pricing and selection they offer.

      The craftsman circular saw is even better than the dewalt XR circular saw switch blades and the craftsman will still win

      @Kurt81TKA Also check out the brushless porter cable at tractor supply excellent tools very similar to the craftsman just cosmetic differences

    Just an FYI, Dewalt and Craftsman are made by the same company. Some of their products are identical but some are made to a price point. The brushless Craftsman are probably pretty close to the Dewalt model.

      @@joko-kc3wc yup. Stanley black and decker owns them and porter cable and lots of other brands. I agree the brushless are closer to dewalt but dewalt really doesn’t impress my overall but still good stuff. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

    I am a mechanic. I use the V20 impacts 5 days a week. Lugnuts, brake caliper brackets and other medium duty things. I like Milwaukee and DeWalt. I have them. The Milwaukee 1/2in 2863 comes out when the Craftsman impacts cant loosen a lugnut or any other bolt. There is the right tool for the job. Its knowing when its time for the right tool.

      I dig your attitude towards tools. Use whatever gets the job done. I really like the v20 line as a guy who works remodeling and commercial maintenance they do just as good job as my Milwaukee stuff did. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it

    I shied away from getting craftsman because I wasn’t sure how good it was. Or, I should say, I listened to all the naysayers. Thanks for showing me that these tools can produce. Good vid. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉

      A Canadian!! Welcome to the channel! And thanks for commenting! I dove into the craftsman because none else was and from appearance wise they where definitely appealing and well im glad I got them because they are becoming my go to. I like the batteries and the circ saw is stout. Anyways thanks again for joining me and hopefully you dive into the lineup cause I think it’s really good

    If price didn't matter what tool brands you'd go with for reliability and longevity?

    • @themaintenanceman1
      @themaintenanceman1  9 місяців тому +1

      2 tool brands I’ve used the longest in my professional career are Ryobi and Milwaukee. I started with Ryobi and had zero problems with them but wanted to feel “more professional “ so I switched to Milwaukee for 4 years. I loved Milwaukee but lots of issues with batteries both m12 and m18 but mostly m12 and then 2 tools m12. So I sold it all and went back to Ryobi and again I’ve had zero issues with them. I might be a rare exception but that’s my personal experience. It’s not the cost because honestly all cordless tools are wayyy overpriced nowadays. So my answer is Ryobi and I’m going to see how these craftsman do but I’ve enjoyed them a lot as well. Corded stuff I have a little bit of everything. So I use whatever works for me and everyone’s different. Hope that helps. And thanks for watching!

    How have they held up? Torn between the current sale on ryobi 6 piece tool set OR craftsman 6 piece tool set both for $199

    • @themaintenanceman1
      @themaintenanceman1  27 днів тому

      @@mannynunez7032 my honest answer is I sold these not to long ago because I’ve always been heavily invested in ryobi but I wish I would have kept these. The quality especially on the circ saw and one handed recip saw are head and shoulders above what ryobi has. Hope that helps

    I like how the SDS hammer drill has the stop drill function, for chipping. I don't know how it is now but I remember a few years back you could buy different brands without that setting and I thought that was such a waste making a drill like that and skipping such an important feature. Speaking of other good features, is that quick change on the oscillating saw really just a lever and nothing else? If so that's a lot better than some of the others like the milwaukee I have where you have to lift the bar up and screw/unscrew the bolt.

    • @themaintenanceman1
      @themaintenanceman1  10 місяців тому +1

      Hey buddy! Thanks for watching! I had the Milwaukee 12v sds and had no chipping function. Had balls and was great but the function is there why not use it independently. Yup the oscillating tool is just that pull up. No pull up and screw bs. I’m hoping the sds has anti binding function like my old makita use to have. But this lineup really is nice. I dig it 👍

      @@themaintenanceman1 yeah it's not a bad lineup, if I were a homeowner looking for a tool set with a decent amount of options and Lowes was my go-to store, this would probably be the first set I'd consider

    • @themaintenanceman1
      @themaintenanceman1  10 місяців тому

      @@wcsd9577 I think I would be in that same thought process as well. It’s not as big of a lineup as Ryobi but the products are pretty spot on with Ryobi.
