KZ1000P Starter Rebuild

Rebuilding the starter on my KZ1000P Custom

Hi, Mike!
I have a 1993 KZ1000P, and it seems like my starter is beginning to play the same games.
Do you have videos of taking the starter out, and putting it back in?
Also...what kit did you get?

The starter kit I got was from Ebay www.ebay.com/itm/283869648168 Should be the same as yours. I dont have a step by step on that process but its a pretty easy job. Two bolts on top chrome cover, then the two bolts holding the starter down on its back end (or area facing right side of bike). Then you just need to pull the starter to the right to get it free from the case. The last part is just moving it around to work its way out. Install is just as simple, just make sure when you put it back into the case, it fully seats, you will fill it when you put the gear in the hole it belongs in and pull the whole thing towards you.
