Polish Marble Table Top with Sandpaper and a Drill
Looks great
Thanks!
The bags look great Mike! To gain more clearance between the bags & side covers…can you add a washer/spacer behind the adjustable bracket? Or, carefully, put a small bit of outward bend on the bracket(s) to allow for a bit more gap? I’ve gained some clearance for bags by doing both of those things. Never went totally crazy with it…because a slight bit of extra angle on the bracket makes a significant difference in bag position. Just my $0.02. Again. Bike looks awesome. Thanks much for the upload! Ride safe
Thanks bud, I was actually thinking and wondering the same, would a spacer give me a lil more room but would it mess up the geometry. Guess imma have to find out. Always appreciate the 2 pesos, it's what this channel is all about. Have a good one bud.
What sustem was it you used? And do you think 5" stretched bags would interfere?
@@DennisAhrensJr it was an ebay kit from a company called Empire Cycle. I ended up transferring my kit to an 07 road king with 5" stretched bags. No issues as long as you don't try to ride without pressure. Took a tight turn while dropped and slightly rubbed the bottom of a bag.
What sustem did you use? And would 5" stretched bags interfere ?
Here is the link to the ebay company i bought my kit from. www.ebay.com/str/empirecycleparts . You can do the 5" bags but dont ride with it totally dropped, you'll probably scrap in a turn.
Should have cone standard on my 23 Ultra Limited IMHO...

Thank you for posting this. I have to refinish a marble top that is on a coffee table. It has some kind of finish on it that has started peeling. Have you worked with anything that has a peeling finish?
Sorry i have not. I wonder what they put on it that would be peeling. Its a new one for me.
Eagle lights
Im like you lol. Im gonna pull some tools out and do it myself, with various degrees of success. Question on windshields. I dont like the sizes of most of the cheap ones. Can I take a grinder ,or maybe a jigsaw w/fine tooth metal cutting blade, and cut a windshield down to the dimensions I like? Shorter, skinnier, without fkng it all up? Will it melt, or shatter? What say you? Can I Mike this myself? Its for a 03 Dyna wide glide
@@Chripiter yessir you can. I would go to home Depot and get a test piece to practice on first because it can crack or melt. Gotta find the sweet spot. I think they sell jigsaw blades specifically for plastic. Windshields are acrylic I think.
Number one it’s not a Dodge ! Ram was awarded their own brand in 2010. Number two why couldn’t you just use zip ties all the way across?
@@montemclain6673 I'm sure you could, all preference.
Thanks for great video and review. For the speaker do I have to make that big hole?
@@joechoi9848 you don't have to. If you aren't looking to deepen the sound like a port and you aren't adding an amp to the pack itself then no need.
@@Mikeityourself Thank you~
I just did dirty air fast front and rear. Heads up if your bike is 2009 and older find your center stand first . Ask me how I know 🤣
@@kevinscampbell1974 been thinking about doing air in the front but wasn't sure about the center stand. Are they hard to find or is it more of finding the right size?
@@Mikeityourself for a newer bike you can pick one up for about three 400 bucks. I’m looking at $800 for mine.
@kevinscampbell1974 man, not what I was expecting. Thanks for the heads up. I may just hold off.
Did the crank sensor fix your problems ?
@@James-fk2sb yessir, hasn't happen since the change.
9:35 you should change the bushings in the risers to stiffer ones. original ones are to soft and with the apes they tend to fail.
Hi Kukus, thanks for the feedback. Any recommendations on replacement bushings? With the stock ones being softer, I imagine it helps dampen some vibration, do you know if its noticeable with the stiffer ones?
If it works not bad ideal. I might want to clear coat it 🤔.
@@TheBlueBikeDoyle what type of clear coat would you use? Never done that before.
@Mikeityourself not sure just clear in aerosol can . But might need to do so testing on scrap. But with all the polishing it probably won't stick. Just thank how to seal it keep it from rusting .
Hey Mike. Good video! You asked for feedback/ideas... First - I think you have a great concept. That is a really convenient way to have access to a phone while riding. And - I have avoided using the Magnetic Phone Mounts for the same reason you gave. Plus - it's awesome that you basically made it for 'free' using stuff you already had in the garage. :) A few things I would have done/do differently. - I would have cut the shape for the lower 'circle' as more of a 'tab' with only the bottom-half being round to match the decorative cover. Having more material between the different sections would provide more rigidity. - I probably would have spent a couple dollars on some really thin foam with adhesive backing to put on the back side of the metal. - Did you try putting your bracket between the Console and the decorative trim/screw cover? That would give a cleaner look...and allow you to cover the screw using existing hardware. - Since a 'proof of concept' is complete...I would put the dimensions into Adobe Illustrator and go to sendcutsend.com to have one made. I would bet (based on other brackets I have had them make for me) that is would only cost about $20-25 (USD) to have something that looks 'factory made'. Just my $0.02. Not trying to be overly critical. I really do dig your result. BTW - which mount are you using?
Where did you get the throttle cable kit from?
Nice video. I have a 93 heritage gonna be installing 16 inch apes on it. Looking where to purchase a full chrome cable kit and recommend recommendations?
@@timothymiranda5998 it's going to look bad ass. Here are the guys I bought my cables from hillcountrycustomcycles.com/

@@chrismagee3971 heard a few folks running into that even with the 2014s and up. I think the ecm of bcm is looking for a specific resistance and when it doesn't see it, then it cuts out. I would be willing to bet someone has figured out how to add in a resistor to fool it.
Very fine filming of the different actions , to often hands and arms are blocking clear vision !!!!
@@freddejong5918 thank you, really appreciate the feedback
Ho w does it work reversing? Do you need to approach it like a trailer?
Honestly, i didnt experiment much with reverse mainly because i only saw this as an emergency type device that would be a return home or to a rental trailer place. Since you are relying on the pivot of the handlebars and the leaning, i would be hesitant to use it in that manner.
@@Mikeityourself Understood. I was just curious if it behaves like a trailer when reversing. Cheers.
@@vesparama really good question though

Good eye, I had actually tried to get my boy to sell but no luck. I use to have a Mammoth but sold that off as a parts car. Old tech these days.

Thank you for this video I was really looking for this sort of demo. I am a short man and have been using a harbor freight carrier where I load it from the side and carry my bike parallel to my bumper. it's okay, but due to my height impairment I need a spotter to load and unload my bike and a stranger on reddit recommended a dolly hitch carrier like this to me and I took was looking at the exact same carrier you demoed on Amazon wondering about the loading and unloading process as well as the reviews about the leaning. You did a very good demo 👏

Thanks for posting this. I am going to try to refinish a bathroom countertop and this helps tremendously. Great video, Im going to build one with a couple of costom touches.
@@tb5118 awesome, please let me know how it comes out. Always looking for ways to do it better.
I do a lot of furniture refinishing so I am pretty schooled on sanding, and finishing. I am attempting my kitchen table that is marble. I totally get that the diamond/resin pads made some deep cuts on the lower grits that the higher grits couldnt remove. I am going to buy a 5" kit like you used but I will start with a 220 grit sandpaper on an orbital 5" sander just to remove any grease, grime, and detritus. After that I will go to a 320 sandpaper disk. then I will give the kit disks a try starting at 600 or greater. If I see any marks, I'll shelve the kit and finish out like you did. Great video.
