I'm happy to see that Billy and everyone else in the NWA is so dedicated to making great things happen in the wrestling business. It makes you feel good as a fan to know that people care about it that much. Like a lot of you guys, I can remember how it was when I was a kid. It was everywhere and it was fun to watch all the different shows. I can't wait for it to come back. 👍💙💛
I think this is such a cool idea. Bringing back the territory system.
It is a cool idea; especially the way Mr. Corgan is only letting in ones he knows he can trust.
Id love to see NWA on network TV....i wish they could tour so i could see them live again.
Ladies and gentlemen, I've been round the world, and I've seen it all. From the bright lights of New York to the heart of the south in Nashville. And you know what I've noticed? Wrestling, it's in our blood, it's a part of us, it's what we love. And speaking of love, I've got a lot of respect for the NWA. They're trying to bring back the old days, the days of territories. And you know what, that's where the true legends were born. That's where the stories began, and that's where we cut our teeth.
So, let's talk about it. NWA, they're trying to bring back that tradition, and you know what, that's a beautiful thing. They're giving opportunities to guys like me, the small-town heroes who have dreams of making it big. They're letting us prove ourselves in the ring, night after night, just like they used to.
And the territories, well, they were the lifeblood of professional wrestling. They were where you could see the best talent, the most incredible battles, and unforgettable moments. I've got a lot of respect for the NWA for trying to revive that spirit.
Wishing him all the best going forward
I love what Mr. Corgan and others have done for the NWA! I’ve always believed in his vision and sound business decisions.
The return to Television is fantastic news!
NWA have partnered with regional promotions on the PPV's, so I can think of a few other promotions that may be in-line for consideration.
NWA was building something special with Powerrr when it first launched on UA-cam. Looking back at its roster, Billy held several gems that become some of the hottest talents of today. All of it got stopped due to circumstances out of Billy’s control
makes sense for nwa to go back to the territory system brings back my childhood
It’s so cool to run your shows in deserted high school gyms with the speakers behind the superstars billy is a mark for no one but himself
Great Show. Love Billy
I wanna see Billy fix up the studio like nxt, impact, ovw, mlw
He added an entrance and more entrance music, that's a start.
And feature more women wrestlers.
More then just one match.
No less women
This is such an awesome idea! He loves pro wrestling
Great idea Bill!
the (professional wrestling) regional territory system: bring that stuff back !!!
I’d be curious to know if the Twin Cities and Chicago fit in this midwestern territory.
I went and Googled top 20 networks; likely, realistic candidates include ION, Univision, and The CW, respectively. Could also see a CW/Roku partnership like they have done with Fight to Survive.
So....any word or hint at which channel NWA could end up being on?
"Territories" won't work.
National television rights killed it long ago. Now in the age if streaming it simply can't work as intended.
Damn you called it son, it's gonna be on the CW.
“Today is the greatest day in the world …” because of this page.
I am surprised that Corgan is taking NWA OFF UA-cam in favor of TV. Who watches TV? Now if he gets a streaming deal, that makes sense. The wrestling fixation on TV is very puzzling, as wrestling once held the pulse of media delivery technology, it appears WWE is the only promotion who is forward thinking. Of course WWE receives huge media rights deals, I doubt NWA or even AEW in the future will be able to command those fees. UA-cam would be the place to build an audience, but as I covered with OVW, few indy promotions are fully leveraging the platform.
WWE just sold one of its programs' television rights to the tune of 1.3 billion per year.
That is why you go back to TV
@@yoholmes273 they are paying those rights fees for WWE, not professional wrestling. Two different products
@VideoSEOClub You can think that...as a good Vince Mark would.
"Sports Entertainment" is a made up word that means.....nothing.
Merely a nonsense term Vince created in an attempt to differentiate his product in the marketplace in hopes to avoid the stigma of smokey bingo hall pro-wrasslin.
Yes, it is the same product, merely presented differently.
The question was why take NWA to TV?
Because "live-sports" is the most profit generating for television 📺 advertisers.
Hence...the money 💰.
New network? New arena?
Sally Jesse Lagreca
I like when he touched his nose after saying "we've received hundreds of requests from all over the world" and also when he told all those other lies.
I like when you thought you were smart after saying "he touched his nose" and also when you liked your own comment.
I remember before they started doing these crossovers. NXT on their night would draw somewhere in the average 650k area.
When Rollins wrestled Breakker - 800k
When Becky won the NXT women's championship - 850k
Judgment Day - 870k
Bring back the snake pit
Stop censoring guys
I always thought his music sucked. I was always looking for something hard and heavy the Pumpkins were weak. But God bless that man for what he has done for the Business. He's a cool dude.
I hear what Billy is saying but it’s never going to be as big as it was in the mid 80s or late 90s again and Wes the wrestling companies start bringing back wrestling psychology and stop trying to cater to the same 2 million nerd fans that WWE and AEW share. Yes, financially there’s a lot of money being made in WWE from big TV contracts in Saudi Arabia money but it’s far is viewers, Monday night raw in 1993 had more viewers thing current WWE.
I don't know man,🤔, after the ridiculous "Cocaine" spot I think he might have shit the bed👀🤷
Not to be mean but Tommy looked bored out of his mind lol …….
What a dope.
Too many girls . Not enough alphas. Make them know how to shoot fight to get in.
