    When you say "to me that's like sinking a ship" made me smile. That's why I love this stuff. Thank you again for opening the curtain on a subject I never knew I would enjoy.

    Lisbon in Spain?! 😳 Noooooo, you were doing so well!!! 😂😂 Jokes aside, you've got some of the best tutorials on Uboat man, the "Intercept Vectors" helped me A LOT to understand how those calculations are made! Thank you so much for putting these videos together, I'm watching all of them, many times! Def subscribing 👍

      Honestly, I don't really think 100% is a higher difficulty than having map updates and/or crew assist turned ON. To me, all the map update icons are just irritating and in my way for attack plotting. As you can see, we have tremendous tools at our disposal for laying down the true course and becoming adept with firing solutions.

    Great videos, I'm subscribing!. I started with a Type II A with no contacts on the map and oh boy I was mostly lost. You're really helping me out with these series!
    I have encountered a problem that you probably can help. I was looking for one of those convoys and I intercepted (actually found it by luck) at night, couldnt see anything so I couldnt engage. What could I have done?
    Also, continuing with this kind of situation, would be interesting for a video to show how to make an attack using only the map to get the information for the tdc and knowing when to release with the hydrophone. Not sure if it's posible, also I still have to watch the TDC videos so sorry if there's content there that would answer this.

    • @xljedi2335

      Good questions, thank you. You can fire at targets without even looking through the scope. Probably a tad unrealistic, but why not give it a try?

      These are the first subsim recordings that I've done. It was basically the strange UI that I was trying to help my Silent Hunter friends adapt to that led me to post a video. I started to write a guide, but realized it would have to be 100's of pages to explain anything. So I made some videos.

  • @Timlagor
    @Timlagor 4 місяці тому +1

    It's not the point you were teaching but for this particular situation my primary consideration would be the choke points where you can expect to reliably find the convoy. In this case the NW corner of Spain qualifies but the Irish Sea makes sense if you can get there in time -giving you a second chance to rush South and catch it before Lisbon if you fail to sink it.

    Any chance you could do a video on how to use an attack disk, if you know how use them, there is a mod on the workshop for one and 've been trying to figure is out but don't fully understand it. it seem like it is a extremely useful tool to have if i can work it out.

    • @xljedi2335
      @xljedi2335  5 місяців тому +3

      Possibly, I don't typically install too many mods because I like to reach a broad audience. However, I might do something along the lines of a mod review, so I could jot that down as a future topic.

    Fantastic videos! I really love your tutorial... I have a few questions + perhaps a request...lets start with the question: I also like drawing on the map... for example when calculating the Angle on bow... but, after Ive done it once... the next time, the "angle drawing thingy" wont stick to my sub anymore... any ideas why?
    And for request : Id love to see a more in depth tutorial on how to calculate how to figure out the location and intercept angles and such for sonar "targets" the "intercept button" works perfectly but Id like to learn how to do it myself

    • @xljedi2335

    I think this kind of gameplay IS the game....far beyond just sinking ships

  • @michaelwollett4767
    @michaelwollett4767 Місяць тому +1

    Seeing that you know the enemy start and end, could just take a minute to plot your ship to enemy start and run second leg to destination. Second leg will most likely be the course enemy will take to distination. Then plot shortest run to 2nd leg and run back toward enemy ship periodically submerging and listening.

    • @xljedi2335
