Tim, As usual, excellent coverage of a product available to assist our capture rate. There is no doubt in my mind about your 100% commitment of ethical and safe trapping. Wish I lived closer to you. You have forgotten more about trapping then I will ever know! Thank you for remembering our Fallen..Bulldog
That was a great idea, the instructional video was easy to follow and build these traps from. Worth every dime. But don't set it up in your backyard where your tree hugging neighbors can see the stick waving around. I let them scream at me for 20 minutes with a smile on my face. Then when the go to catch a breath I say... "Now you know I'm hard of hearing, could you repeat what you said slower so I can read your lips?" Gets them every time.
Hello. I'm a next door neighbor. (Ms boy) I've just found your videos on UA-cam and enjoy them very much. I subscribed to your videos so I can see all of them now. Good man. Good practical useful information. Thank you......Dale C.
My Grandfather made a similar snare using a hollow log. I suspect if he saw us tear up a bucket he would tan our hides lol! Bet the bucket snare would be good for taking care of nuisance varmints pilfering around the house.
It is almost impossible to snare armadillos because the snare will slip off their shell. You will have much better success using a cage trap with wings to funnel them in.
No problem brother - if you need any assistance with it just let me know. God bless and have a great Memorial Day weekend, and remember our war dead and their sacrifices.
Awesome setup. One question. Did you include the inventor of this snare setup on the profitable endeavor or swoop in like a thief and patent it behind his back?
You have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. #1 Yes the inventor is a full partner. #2 Its not patented. You are free to make it and sell it yourself. Next time you might want to make sure of your facts before you embarrass yourself.
Man, I wish snaring was legal in NC! We can only snare beaver... but can do conibear bucket sets. That is not ideal if you are trapping for food or trying not to kill pets.
Just file the knowledge away for as we both know, one day it wont matter what is legal - only what is possible. Snaring is a great way to keep animals alive and meat fresh when its a hundred degrees outside. Too many traopers only know trapping, lures and animal behavior in the winter. In summer its a whole nother ballgame and in a grid down situation the ability to trap meat in both summer and winter will be critical.
I do. I try to learn as much as possible about snaring... and get some practice where I can... and even things like deadfalls. As I mentioned just an hour or so ago on one of my FB groups, "I always think it is good to learn trap designs, even if you can't use them...just in case."

How much of the proceeds go to the creator of this idea Mr Steven Dennis?
You should ask him. He has a channel where he explains all this.

@@Meattrapper thank you!
You will not believe this but you cannot purchase a 2in T hinge in the UK, How bad is that.Cheers
That is hard to believe! Let me know what you end up using.
One thing you can do is to bolt a metal strap to a regular hinge to make it into a T. Let me know if you get stuck and we'll figure something out.
