Interesting hearing a conservative MP blame Labour for not doing a great job in certain parts of the country.... onblivious to the fact that the Conservatives are currently in power, and have been for years. It's the conservatives that have starved councils of necessary funding for essential services and investment.
"People are scared of buying institutions under market value" (paraphrase) So it's ok for big business to buy our public institutions at losses but criminal for big business to be sold at losses? 🙄
Liz I think was incorrect the energy companies were public before, so we could value the shares as released. Also the banks failed and were bailed out using our money. Also when a train franchise failed who paid for it the public. So while I would not be in favor of stealing someones house or individual business, I would be in favor of taking into public ownership of Water/Electric/Gas and empty houses bought for investment purposes only and then left empty.

A ridiculous title to this video, it is click bait. The 'conversations' were very limited, paltry even. As for the tory assertions about the free market, well that was just dogma. Importantly, Richard Burgon should never have given permission for his words to be cast so badly in intent.
I am working class, I voted to leave the EU and I am building my own small business. Why are Labour against me? They want me to pay more corporation tax on my profits, they want to charge me capital gains tax if my hard earned assets grow and they are ignoring our democratic will. But I cannot vote Tory, the part of Thatcher.
Burgon is a senior politician in Her Majesty's Opposition. Think about that and mourn the death of meritocracy.

Questioner is wrong... The rest of the country has been financing the City of London, not the other way around.

by my estimation - by now there are 3 trolls paid by the corporate sector in this comment section.

If only giving money to poor people to blow on frivolous purchases did improve the economy unfortunately that's just socialist nonsense.
@angrykulla Too much money has been handed out. People need to earn money or you end up being outbred by chavs.
