Finally, no more fiddling with screws and cables! The magnetic cover on the K2 Plus is a great improvement. It's just like my FLSUN, making maintenance so much easier. Less hassle, more printing fun!
Well said. I did fit a couple stronger magnets onto the cover of my P1P, but having that cable is annoying, It creates a potential fault-point. It's nice to see R&D including user-feedback into there designs. It's exciting to see 3D Printing evolve as a whole.
EVERY Bambu owner has had trouble at one time or another with the extruder cover falling off mid print. The magnets Bambu uses are way too weak...I really wouldnt be using them as a poster boy
I've had it happen also, but, to be fair, across 3 (recently a 4th) machines, each with over 1500 hours. It's happened 3 times. Bambu cover has weight too it. The K2 Cover is SO light, I don't see it happening, but, time will tellZ
Always great to see companies improving.. I am actually most curious now if there what and when the availability will be on additional nozzles like a .6, .8, and maybe even a .2 if I feel like doing something particularly detailed. On that note do you just need to remove those two front screws to release it or is it more involved?
It uses optical sensors in the under carrige of the printer that does an initial tilt of the bed and then a strain gauge between the cold end and the extruder to do the bed mesh probing by tapping the nozzle on the build plate.
Looks like the printers are on a slow boat with the captain stopping everywhere for a cold brew LOL Just need longer cables, the PLA with the tag reader and replacement feet if needed. So like a kid I know it is coming but when?
The sale day has been set at the 11th, and looks like it's gonna stick. In the meantime, they been making them as best they can. My Feet are just fine so far
To be fair the lidar never worked well on either my k1 max or x1c. K2 plus now has a second camera right next to nozzle underneath. Might be better solution.
Lidar has proven to be unpopular. The K2 has an AI Camera on the Toolhead. This offers the benefit of endless software advancement. That said, most of the best machines on the market have neither, and do just fine. First layer fails are rare with the current tech.
But nice to know all the stuff you are teaching us so when we eventually get ours we can hit the ground running and not be in the dark and have to do what we normally do and guess and scratch our heads 😂
That's the plan... I also need to move on to other things, so, trying to get the K2 well covered for you guys first. It's too heavy to move back and forth to my studio desk.

Yessir! They all need to go this route

Two front, Two Top. 4 too many, but it's easy. We'll go over it soon. For a machine this big, we need .6 and .8 for sure. It's a Unicorn nozzle
I still want to know if the bed leveling sensor is in the tool head or under the build plate…
It's in the nozzle asssembly.
It's a strain gauge, and there is also a camera at the nozzle
It uses optical sensors in the under carrige of the printer that does an initial tilt of the bed and then a strain gauge between the cold end and the extruder to do the bed mesh probing by tapping the nozzle on the build plate.
Can you weigh the K2 cover and report back?
The glass lid?
No, the K2 tool head cover. Thanks

Nice 😊
Missing LIDAR

@@3DRundown GREAT, I wish is had some cash to get one
From what i see, its needless weight , could of left it off
it weighs almost nothing.
Lol k2 users , thats not too many as of yet.
'LOL' Switch 2 users , That's not too many as of yet. CAUSE ITS NOT OUT YET.
