does a heart of gold apply, if he is willing to absolutly kill everyone but one of the people he cares about? That’s always been one of my favorite scenes. Using Donald in the scam was such fun, considering how he felt about Raymond. But he played his role very well. “…Crooked as a Corsican highway.”
This remains one of my favorite scenes , even after all this time. Red's outing Donald. Ressler just rolls with it. The Stewmaker was one of the scariest villains. And finally the ending where Ressler and Red are talking about Lorca. Ressler:"So you're alright with helping Lorca leave the country after that? No. You're not just going to let him go..............he was insulting. " Red: "He *is* on my jet."
There's a reason Ressler was brought onto the team when Red turned himself in in the first place. He's been hunting Red for years, and came pretty close to taking him out at least once. Donald, despite being an absolute stickler for the rules and somewhat unimaginative in the office, is a very good agent and can be quite creative and good on his feet in the field.
I've been watching this for the first time, I'm into the current final season, and I can not state enough just how much Elizabeth annoyed me THE. ENTIRE. TIME. Holy shit, she ruined SO MUCH by barging into rooms screaming "I DESERVE TO KNOW T_T" every 5 seconds. Every other character? Fantastic! The only thing I can harp on is how little some of the characters develop compared to others, but even then they are clearly developing and evolving over time as characters. Just editing to say I hold nothing against the actress I think she did quite well. Just the writing of her part sometimes felt so frustrating and nonsensical as a viewer
It's mostly because her character was just all over the place. She dragged innocent people into whatever she was doing because she was obsessed with getting answers about her past and got then killed. And the last season she was in didn't do her any favors how she betrays the entire task force by siding with her mother who she just met then gets pissed off because they didn't support her.
@@cloudtheavegner1000 I did not like her because of her behaviour towards Red. Yes, he did withold lot of things but he never lied to her. He protected her, saved her several times and on more than one occasion gave himself up as a replacement when she got captured. And even at their best times in the beginning she always distrusted him, always thought the worst of him, never gave him the benefit of the doubt. She blamed him for things she herself was responsible for (like the death of her grandfather) and tried to kill him because she thought she was entitled to answers. In her vendetta against him she got quite a few people killed and almost took down two planes. Honestly I am myself trying to figure out why people liked her.
I hated Ressler at first because he was the by the book, cognitively rigid, sees everything as black and white type. Then he grew on me when he started seeing the world as shades of grey after Elizabeth's arrest.
Boone didn't like her character either. Unexpectedly, Keen had been thrown in a world of high level espionage, black ops, and international criminals on her first day as a profiler to only to come to know that her life was all a lie. It's pretty complicated character to navigate emotionally and mentally. Trust & Deception. And in terms of stupidity Keen had always been the one to ascertain the objectives behind Red's schemes while the rest of the team left puzzled.
The character elizabeth keene was so increasingly annoying that after some point i could not continue watching this series. Had they killed her off early enough to prevent further damage, this would have been a fantastic series. The fault may lie entirely with the writers so i am explicitly not blaming the actress here.
Some actors, like Henry Cavill care so much about their characters that they'll fight the writers for it. These days, that gets you canned and, dare I say, blacklisted. The actress had to play the character, even if they hated it. Mark Hamill had to compartmentalize himself to play a Luke Skywalker he detested.
You know a fun little mashup would be if you had Walter White and Raymond reddington meet and do a little monologue with one another obviously the two characters are not on the same level but it'd be a fun exchange to watch
I Love RED...I will mis you and will watch the series againg and againg!!! Aquí en Argentina solo vimos hasta la 8 tem, faltan 9 y obvio 10...JAMES I admire you I will wait for You.🇦🇷🌻❤
0:36 there's a slap sound, and the blondie just yanks the knife guy onto the floor, pulling the arm holding the knife to his throat. He didn't disarm him, daze him or hurt him. They couldn't even fake it convincingly?
Loved the show. Big Spader fan. Stopped watching after season 4 for several reasons. Expected to catch up one day. My brother told me how Red died. All I could think of was Game of Thrones season 8. I will pass.
I watched the entire series. I couldn’t give up James Spader in any scene. But the first 4 seasons were the best. They’re the ones. I rewatch. The amazingly brilliant lines he just tosses off are the best things in the shows. I know they were from the writers, but James said them. And nobody can deliver dialogue like that like James can. I also know he conferenced with the writers because they wanted those kinds of lines to be perfect for Raymond.

I love the Red and Ressler relationship 😂 it's too much!
Me too! He even calls him Donald. No one else calls him with that name.
@@goodguysgang same lol!
It's toxic thou, ressler will hate red today and love him tomorrow

I love Red´s character. So multi faceted , but with a heart of gold.
His heart of gold is useless without his stone cold criminal mastermind.

Spader made this role so good. As criminal as Red is you just want to be him for a couple days.
Spader was damn good in almost every role he played. Yes, even the SG movie.

"Welcome to my parlor said the spider to the fly."
Good ol' times when Donald's character was a real badass. Red is always a "chef's kiss".

That is exactly why I stopped watching the program !
For me it was that Megan Boone is just not that great of an actress. I'm not saying she's a bad actress. She just doesn't have the "IT" factor.
One thing we all have in common. We wanted Elizabeth keen to just vanish. It took 9 seasons to make it happen but we got her boys.
Why is she hated? I liked her.

Red is honestly one of my favourite fictional characters.
I hated Ressler at first because he was the by the book, cognitively rigid, sees everything as black and white type. Then he grew on me when he started seeing the world as shades of grey after Elizabeth's arrest.
"Good luck to you Mr. Lorca". He respects everyone unless one gives him not to.
Red and Hannibal would get along very well I think.
He's also a good dancer 😂😂
I daresay Red was pleased with how Ressler rolled with it.
Damn. Red brakes the balls on any level.
I love Ressler's quick thinking.
I think Red is testing him, and Ressler deliver. See the smile of Red at 0:56
Loved this but hated Elizabeth Keen. She was so stupid in it at times it was hard to believe she had become an FBI agent.

Raymond Reddington would have been a great chess opponent for Harold Finch of Person of Interest
Red would definitely win, he’s more similar to Gus. Walt is too emotional and impulsive, and predictable at times.
